Never a more perfect voice for ROCK music.
Notice no reverberation added to the vocals, just the power of his actual voice.
It's the isolated dry track ..... listen to the song; reverb + delay .... very cool non the less and yes, a very powerful voice!!
@@Jhietanen yep. Rick Beato did a video on this song and he plays the isolated wet vocal. Lots of reverb. I actually wish this version had the effects on it. I want to hear it as it is on the album, just without the instruments.
@@rome8180 Well, you can just hear it here.. "as it is on the album.." whats your problem ? And Rick Beato couldnt even identify the Gibson acoustic Jimmy played right .. it was a B-25, there are even pics of Jimmy (and Plant) playing it there on that session at Juggy Sound Studio NY...
@@tomasvanecek8626lol dude what’s YOUR problem? Get over yourself
@@JonnyDWise Wtf are you referring to ?
I have no problem with Zep.. I know them through and through, since 1969 .. Were YOU even alive back then.. lol
I’m getting cold chills listening to his raw voice. He has one of my favorite rock voices.
This is really great - just shows you how great his voice really was. So many little inflections that were over powered by the actual music - this is absolutely a blast to listen to.
Robert’s voice is so good is that even with just him it’s an instrumental song. His voice is an instrument
Robert Plant’s voice was at peak on LZII. He had such an incredible low end growl, yet could still hit those signature haunting high notes. That quality was never captured on any subsequent album.
You're right. Actually, all the singing he did in the band before his vocal surgery in 72 was the best by a famous rock man I've heard. Even though, yes, Freddie Mercury had a beautiful voice but for rock, Plant represented it better.
I agree mostly, but live he still sounded amazing through 1972 and it’s hard to argue with the iconic vocals on IV! I actually think his singing on Levee is the greatest rock vocal performance of all time! But in general, 1969-1970 Plant for pure blues rock power is the greatest ever!
@@missdee4927 pretty sure his surgery was after either the 1973 Madison square garden gigs or early in 1974 but then again pretty sure they recorded Kashmir in 1974 and he is raspy as fuck there
sounds great but fuuuuuucking raspy
Unbelievable. The raw power of this man's voice and the emotion gives me chills. I love hearing the little things you can't hear on the record, like the "mmm's" and breaths. He's a human being just like us. Who would have believed it? ❤
This gave me more goosebumps than the actual song ever could
Plant is the greatest
3:32 repeat numerous times.

Thanks for the comments folks, glad you've been enjoying a different perspective on the music of Led Zeppelin as much as I have!
His voice. I love
Thanks for posting this. I can play the acoustic portion of the song fairly well; however, there is no way in hell I can sing this. I can now play and have the man himself provide to vocals. A thousand thank you for that.
Man, that is fucking perfect!
This song is near impossible to cover because of these incredible vocals. Almost no one can sell the intensity of the chorus without making it sound too harsh. (looking at you, Dave Grohl and Kid Rock)
+tg72211 maybe if we start smoking LOL
The way he sings that chorus has always wowed me. I don't see how people can discredit him as a vocalist.
Interesting observation. I totally agree. His instrument was at its peak during this record.
This is what true satisfaction !! I knw i can never be wrong for loving his vocal and their music since i was a kid..
Thank you for this, I can learn from him. now I know how great he is.
THANK YOU! I play all the instruments and laid down all the tracks . . but can't sing like Robert!
+irakli margishvili in the 90s a young Chris cornell surprised with his talent, he remind me so much to the Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin
@@troutmask9111 Kind of, but stripped of the swagger and charisma that Robert had.
I never agreed that Plant had an amazing voice :( I now see how wrong I was.
I knew it and had been singing it correctly all these years ! It's clearly "Gollum - a-the evil one, crept up and slipped away with her..." (NOT Gollum and the evil one...that wouldn't even make sense and Robert was smarter than that- Gollum was a loner and had no partners in crime). Case closed !
James Blunsdon - that's nice but it starts out "Twas, in the darkest depths of Mordor - where I met a girl so fair, but Gollum a-the evil one, crept up and slipped away with her...her...her yeah !" Gollum can't be at the "evil wall" (whatever that is - LOL) and in the darkest depths of Mordor at the same time.
Thanks for sharing though.
JohnBindon
Yes, I agree.
+JohnBindon Are you English?
@@JohnBindon it is "at the evil wall"
the wall of Mordor.
He's saying he met her in the "depths of Mordor" but Gollum grabbed her at the wall. As in, when they were leaving Mordor. He found a girl in the clutches of evil and tried to rescue her but she was snatched at the last moment. Its like the myth of Orpheus
@@WindyFellow You're 100% wrong. You can clearly hear what Robert is singing here.
Gee. He has everything. What a vocal!!!
Big dick and great vocals, what more could you want 😂
BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY
Leaves are falling all around
It's time I was on my way
Thanks to you I'm much obliged
For such a pleasant stay
But now it's time for me to go
The autumn moon lights my way
For now I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it's headed my way
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired
But I know I've got one thing I got to do
Ramble on
And now's the time, the time is now
To sing my song
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
Ramble on
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams
Got no time for spreadin' roots
The time has come to be gone
And thoough our health we drank a thousand times
It's time to ramble on
Ramble on
And now's the time, the time is now
To sing my song
I'm going 'round the world, I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
I gotta ramble on
I gotta find the queen of all my dreams
I ain't tellin' no lie
Mine's a tale that can't be told
My freedom I hold dear
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air
'T was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair
But Gollum, and the evil one
Crept up and slipped away with her
Her, her, yeah
Ain't nothing I can do, no
I guess I keep on rambling
I'm gonna, yeah, yeah, yeah
Sing my song (I gotta find my baby)
I gotta ramble on, sing my song
Gotta work my way around the world baby, baby
Ramble on, yeah
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, my baby
Doo, doo, doo, doo
Doodoo doodoo doodoo doodoo doodoo
I gotta keep searching for my baby
(Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby)
I gotta keep-a-searchin' for my baby
(My, my, my, my, my, my, my baby)
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I can't find my bluebird
I listen to my bluebird sing
I can't find my bluebird
I keep rambling, baby
I keep rambling, baby
Increíble, maravillosa voz...
His voice at his peak could hit higher notes than Freddie mercury
and still he wasnt.. you know what .. dontcha ? yuck :))
@@tomasvanecek8626 That didnt make sense
@@Minceontoast2 Well, you could´ve been more harsh with your reply ..and I appreciate that, really.. what I meant in fact is that with some predisposition, your voice timbre is shifted higher, and you can capitalize on that - thats all ..
@@tomasvanecek8626 He still better Plant could full voice C6s
He could probably belt out higher notes than Freddie, but Freddie's voice was more powerful and versatile. Basically, Freddie could adapt and sing most of Robert's songs, but Robert wouldn't be able to sing a lot of Freddie's stuff.
Amazing
Beautiful
Thanks .. we could never get so close Jimmy .. what a great performance from Percy ;)
Amazing! Thanks so much!
Absolutely amazing vocalist
So clean
Sing it to me night and day Robert. Oh I love hearing his voice even alone.
OMG, that voice!!! 😍
O q a internet nos proporciona..😱 nunca pensei em ouvir essa trilha de voz isolada de plant... Toooppp
Thanks you so much! We want more please! :D
Phenomenal. Damn.
Wow this is crazy Thanks for. Making this
Maravilhoso!

Very cool
Unique and unrepeatable.

Love tho thanks
that's sickkkkkk
Oooooooo that was awesome ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet this would sound great with just the rhythm guitar or just the bass. It would be a really nice change of timbre to the song
BELLO GRAZIE
cooooooooool
Glad to hear that Gollum got a mention
Wow
Such a sweet timbre. Any chance you can get the isolated vocal track for Kashmir?
I would scrape together all the money I could to buy a box set of all the Zeppelin records broke up into tracks like this...isolated Zeppelin...would be amazing!!!!!!!! More please. is there any material from 1 or 3 that have ever been released?
Yea, I know right! I'm not gonna get nothing done for weeks to come. I'm sitting here playing guitar while Robert Sings. I'm in heaven!

This is genius.
huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh yeah
Please isolate vocals on "Battle of Evermore"
James will you be uploading any tracks from Zep III
At exactly the 1m30s mark it sounds like he stumbles slightly (like he was about to sing a different verse) but catches himself in time.
good spot.. 01:30.. that definitely sounds like a hesitation or stumble
His vibrato is impeccable! You cannot hear the nuance delivered in the mix.
First time hearing this over welming quiet I enjoyed don't mix it with no damnai
Is Robert plank ??
On the very last part of the fade he says "I can't find my blue bird"... and I was waiting for that... hell, I was gonna make it my ringtone!! I guess it was on a dub... ach well...

That is a very nice idea, I think I'll copy it :)
@@wesleybecker834 lol!! Nice one!! Did you know about that part? I knew about it from headphones and vinyl! Lol
@@wesleybecker834 and since you're doing that... you should check out my late wife's channel. I'm a producer in St Louis... or musician... whatever... and I've got 50 or so of the best songs here. I've never felt like kissing a man before today. James,... you, my good fellow, are hero for posting this. A thousand thank yous.
Is this the track from the studio album or an alternate take? Are you related to the band? :)
Plant hits notes that would shred most singers' vocal chords
Unfortunately it shredded his voice too. Lol
"The" Man
Never ever heard Plant and thought Janis...but this somehow drew me there. Maybe it's so obvious that I simply overlooked it? Weird!
did they get him to sing along with the song?
Eh? He IS singing along!!! This is the isolated vocal, with the other tracks all muted. If you listen carefully, you can hear the rest of the band spilling out of his headphones from time to time.
I sound good on this
I wonder if Pagey ever said during a recording session "Hey Robert why don't you just lay out between verses. You might be overdoing it a little with all the Ooooo's and Babybabybabybaby's"??
Kashmir
I just...................................................
Please God do Stairway without reverb
We need Robert Plant ASMR
owo
You can hear him swallowing @0:53
Why do no singers have that kind of edge to their voice anymore? Even when he was singing softly, theres that edge. And it's the same across the board - white people and black people no longer have that edge to their singing voices anymore and it's such a bummer.
plant was better in studio than live...
+Andreas Hear since i've been loving you live at the madison square garden
seems like you've never watched Zeppelin at Royal Albert Hall or listened to either BBC Sessions or How the West Was Won.
no, I listened to those recordings hundreds of times :)
what about led zeppelin in belfast 1971?
What about how the west was won's "Dazed and Confused" bruh
