The comments on screen are great for those of us who watch after the live is over. I hope you guys can continue to use this feature!
You can replay the live chat when you’re watching after the fact. It’s in the menu bar to the right of the dislike button
@@broganm6112 revelation! Never noticed that button, thx!
I came to say the same! I prefer it over watching the live chat
re: DVC- i would reccomend that you hold off until later this year or next year when they start to sell the new DVC wing at Disneyland Hotel because THATS when the price is at the lowest (at the beginning). Aulani has additional fees because of laws in Hawaii. I forgot what they were, but I remember making a mental note: Aulani is most expensive. As a dvc owner myself, our family purchased direct and have 3 different contracts with zero regrets :)
I truly enjoyed the Aulani series. I don't know if I'll ever visit it but I truly appreciated getting to see the resort because of you guys. Also, when I was a kid I went to a Paradise Cove Luau and remember it fondly til this day. I had a big smile on my face when you went to the beach and wondered if the luaus were still going on there. Glad to hear they are.
That’s awesome that you are doing the Amazing Race to raise money for Give Kids The World!! ❤️❤️❤️ Every time I try to post the link to donate, UA-cam deletes my comment. UA-cam must not allow links anymore.
Tim I am watching this later but to answer your question - YES you can combine point from a different contract but if it is a different home resort - you can only book at 7 months window.
Dvc home resorts you can book 11 months in advance , non home resorts is 7 months before you plan to stay ! It’s the best thing we ever did ! We’ve been members since 2003 ! Stay safe
I think Karen Bee has really good videos on going through DVC decisions (which was buying the minimum amount for perks direct and then topping up with resale, but making sure to match when the use year starts and resort).
You can buy directly at mostly any resort if you wait after contacting a guide. Jen Lefforge has a lot of videos on dvc. Also the dvc show. You can book with direct and resale points together if you have the same use year eg. Your points come in at the same time of year
I was letting you know you don't have to buy just those 2 resorts for your home for DVC. I bought direct Saratoga Springs last May. Since Disney has the 1st right of refusal they have contracts to sell direct from anywhere. I called and told them I didn't want Rivera as my home. I actually wanted Saratoga since it's cheaper points to stay there and they just had their room refurbished. I bought 150 points. ( I tried buying a resale contract but after 30 days Disney used their right of refusal on me.)
Although I love the love chats, it's the beginning and end that I live for. "Is it working?" 😍😍😍
Happy 2022. First time catching a live show
Started live but had to leave, so thanks for getting this up right away! Looking forward to what is next !
Bringing a newborn to the parks is not that rough. It really depends on your baby and on how you handle the parks.
We took our newborn to the park at 2 months old and it was a breeze. We went to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
We rode pretty much every ride we could with him, we had a fan on him because it was mid August. We took time inside the attractions and areas where there was AC.
Honestly it was not bad at all. (I’m also a first time mom)
If y’all go to Hilton Head I would recommend Savannah River Street! It’s about 30 mins drive from the island and a lot more tourist things to do!!
Was late to the live stream, but thanks for the Q&A. Love you guys, you always brighten my day.
I missed the Live! Catch you soon, Tim & Jenn.
Hey Tim it was really good to meet you in Galaxy's Edge back in December when we were visiting from the UK. Thanks for being so nice to us even if we were a little over excited 😊 hope you enjoyed your ride on ROTR. With regards to DVC we purchased a resale contract at OKW at $93 a point compared to direct from Disney which was priced at $165 per point at the time. Resale has saved us thousands and I would fully recommend it. 👍
The $50.00 private Disney photos are well worth it. You can bring your own props to enhance your session. Lots of photos.
❤ you guys!! Dvc was one of the best purchases we made! Have 2 contracts both direct from disney same use year. You can be put on a waitlist for any resort you want through disney....like any timeshare worth every penny as long as you use it to it's full potential!!
You can use two together at 7 months if they are at different resorts. If they are at the same resort 11 months out. Hope that helps!
I found when I was a DVC member one great advantage was being able to use my points elsewhere. Like New York city we would use it to stay in hotels. My parents have used it several times to go to different places in the US. You can also go outside the US. So you can always use points that way as well
We usually stay in DVC resorts 3-4 times a year, for about a week at a time. We always rent DVC points directly from owners. We get to stay in the deluxe resorts for about the price of a moderate or value resort. We looked into buying DVC, but renting has been so much more cost effective.
Hello my favorite trackers :) I wish I could have made the live stream but happy to see you are still doing them. May your family continue to be blessed and bring smiles to others (as you do for me and my family)
We love our DVC contracts, we bought when our daughter was about a year old ans she is now 15. We have enjoyed some amazing Disney vacations, the only regret I hear from people is that they didnt buy earlier lol. Jenn Lefforge has some great DVC videos.
Was just at Disneyland on the 8th and we stayed across the street at the Anaheim hilton garden inn. Closer than the convention center. A very easy walk. Highly recommend it.
Thank you for the recommendation of Yellowjackets. We will see the final of season one on Sunday. Like you I highly recommend! Take Care!
"The Magic in the Music" is a great resource for DVC along with "DVC Fan"
Hey guys. I get Tom Bricker’s Disney newsletter and he says prices on dvc’s going up & perks going down!
I just stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and it was fantastic!
We did a lemon pig this year too, there are 5 of us so 5 pennies… they are still in the pigs mouth! 🙌🏼 the pigs belly is looking quite gross though.. time for the lake soon!
There are two resorts that DVC officially sells, but if you wanted a "sold out" resort, you can purchase those resorts as well, but it's not the resort that they offer first.
Also, you can purchase smaller contracts. and to get the "perks" (please look more into this, because the savings of resale can outweigh these "perks" that can go away at any time), you just need 150 points directly from DVC.
We are going on a tour in Israel this summer; if Covid doesn't close them down again! Always wanted to go there.
And we are going to Alani for a conference trip in Feb. Your videos of it were fun to see!
Didn’t catch this live, but enjoyed it all the same.😊
did ohana dinner christmas week 2021 it was delicious so worth a try again i think!
Wish I could have caught this live!! Love watching you guys!
Lol, I'm from MD and everyone is always confused when we say "I'm from the DMV"- ot stands for D.C., Maryland, Virginia. Our states are so small so many Marylanders and Virginians work in DC so we just clump it all together 😂
DVC member since 08, you can buy into any resort direct with DVC. For example OKW was sold out, we went on a waitlist directly with Disney and once our points were met we purchased direct. Disney has the first right of refusal so if they know you guys would buy they would take the points from the resale and let you buy directly with Disney.
We own at poly! However…we are going to buy a resale contract for Aulani! We bought DVC just for when we went to Aulani in 2019. We want to go every three years to Aulani and don’t always want the ocean view room. We can only travel during peak season so the booking advantage at 11 months is appealing than waiting until 7 months before! Also with two contracts we can go to WDW every year and not have to worry about saving points to go to Aulani!
People need to give some grace to food service workers… especially during a freakin pandemic! We are still going through it yall… businesses are short staffed all over.. just be nice and patient.
Paradise Cove and Toa Luau are popular Luaus in the island. I've been twice to paradise cove and really enjoyed it !
What a coincidence! I already just got back from Hilton Head South Carolina a little over a day ago. It is much more packed in and dense than you would think. A lot of the resorts are kind of on top of each other. I drove by the Disney one which looked okay but most of them don't have any lands or grounds to look pretty- just a parking lot and a gate and that's about it.
There are the typical Beach things to do as well as some water tours and golf. There is one museum on the island that's okay it's very small and quaint. If you want to do any kind of historic or explore towns nearby you'll definitely have to travel either by car or by a slow ferry boat. And a lot of places do gate keep with small day passes that cost you $8 to $12 on average each.
I would never recommend going during the high season. While it could be definitely a party at most places, would be crawling with people. It is so dense now with resorts and buildings and houses that just imagining all those people in cars sounds like a nightmare. You would definitely have to have a car when you go there. Most of the places close up around 8:00 or 9:00 now, and there's very little lights on the island after those times. While it could be open later in the high season, it's an interesting duality of having both kind of a populous tourist town but also ridiculously quiet evenings.
Hilton tried to have me buy into their timeshare there and I'm glad I didn't. I do not like it overall. Just because of the sheer amount of people. I would definitely prefer to try and find a quieter beachy town to do any other kind of vacation or timeshare.
Disney has the right of first refusal on resales and they have been exercising that right lately so you actually can buy any resort you want from Disney directly. You just need to check with them and tell them what you want. Also, the value in the home resort is that you can book it 11 months in advance where a non-home resort you book 7 months in advance. Smaller contracts are easier to resale but you have annual dues for each contract. If you do buy resale and you buy more than one contract just make sure the use year is the same for each contract
Next time you see a DVC Kiosk book a tour, there is no pressure and you bring Jackson.
Go with a list of questions, they will answer everything.
Also, if you want I can give you my guides name, you can call him and ask anything, absolutely no pressure at all.
Jen LaForge makes great videos about Buying DVC and DVC resell.
I feel like DVC has options for every budget, but we bought in (resale AKL from Disney direct) when the minimum to get benefits was only 75. It's higher now. Just call them and talk it out. Their reps are very helpful. We'll be purchasing a second contract soon I think.
Yes, we can hear and see you!
Oh and I'm a HUGE New Rockstars fan as well. Everytime Mephisto gets brought up I have to laugh. I'm also a fan of Everything Always and Black Nerd Comedy, I love their enthusiasm and their ability to get wrapped up in a joke.
Hi was wondering when you will say who got the giveaways, I missed the live so just checking I didn't miss anything
In all likelihood, Jackson will live to see the year 2100. Think about that...
Watch some of Jen Lefforge's videos on DVC! She explains it all pretty well and doesn't put too much info in one video to be overwhelming. She has a lot of videos on different DVC topics for people looking to buy. I'd also talk with people who live close to Disney like you guys and get their input.
We did the capture the moment for our daughters first trip at animal kingdom its SO WORTH IT. Go sit down with the main DVC office at ssr they will help you with some of these questions.
Jenn, we used that sleep method 34 years ago for our son. It worked great.
Yes, Paradise Cove is the most recommended
DVC: If you go to Disney direct, and you for instance want BLT, you can put in the request to them and they will buy back a contract from resale so that you can purchase your home resort. It’s hard to do it that way, but it’s possible.
You can buy any resort you want . Call Disney DVC and ask the questions you want to know . Or you are in Orlando make a appointment and talk to them in person . They will not push you to buy . That’s the only way you will know all you need to know . Believe me you can make any resort your home 😊
Great show🌺🧡, look forward to the Fort Wilderness vlog with RV. Thank you for sharing
Ps , Love the comments on screen
Yes, please do a play list for St. Augustine!
Hello! Question. Are you going on the Galactic Starcruiser?
I think you two should wait and buy into the new DVC tower at Disneyland Hotel. That way you will have the first booking availability at that resort but you could also book any other DVC resort at the 7 month mark. Jen, since Disneyland Hotel is your favorite in California, it would be great for you! I believe the new tower will go on sale in 2023. And yes, you can use 2 different contracts together. You just have to make sure they are from the same resort and have the same use year if you want to ensure best and earliest booking availability. I wish I could talk DVC with you guys 😆 It's literally my favorite subject!
Did you consider renting points for the Aulani trip? You can definitely save money that way. If you decide to get DVC, you can buy them on the resale market to save money.
Luisa's song is my favorite song from Enchanto but all the songs a greatt!!!
Quick question. Tim- any thoughts on the snorkeling excursion if it would be good for 6-8 year olds, or would you stick to the hidden beach for kids that age?
For DVC picking resort that is not true, you can search for other resorts. Please call and talk to the sales people they are very informative. It's not confusing when you talk to them. You can buy resale after talking to them. Yes you can combine points. DVC points are points no matter the contract when used.
You can buy resale via Disney when it’s available. Jen you are right it’s very confusing and it becomes more confusing every year. That’s the other reason that after I sold mine I feel I’m better off just using hotel deals and staying when there’s deals like that..
You still can get other resorts for DVC. Disneyland also has the new DVC coming. Talk to DVC and they will help clarify.
A suggestion I heard from one of the Disney vloggers is to buy DVC on a Disney cruise. There are often discounted prices
You don't need the advantage at Aulani. They never fill up. *******Also you can choose another resort through re-sale OR a re-sale from Disney and get the perks. I am happy to email with you to explain. We love Disney Vacation Club since 2003 AND we have gone many, many places. Yes use your points together. ***Not hard to re-sell points cause you can see what you want.
just out of curiosity why would you let them rush you out of that restaurant? if you wanted more food, i would have waited and kept pushing them till i got it. that is crazy that they would not bring it. i would get the manager and get it brought to my table and then you could have watched the fireworks. but then i am pushy. if i am paying that much money, i will be polite, but get what i want.
I think Encanto might be my new favorite Disney movie!
Gutted I missed this live. Great live show x
Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio has raised gate pricing to $85 per adult
I love “we don’t talk about Bruno “!!!!!
A day late to the live show 🤣but Cape May Cafe has a great family style dinner (if you love seafood, because that’s half of the meal)
Always enjoy your live shows and home vlogs. Thanks!
The luau at the water park is Chief's luau and it's amazing
We did not enjoy Ohana, we love Garden Grill. Excellent character experience Feb 2020 prior to COVID and I also enjoyed the food.
Ohana - you're allowed to have a negative opinion, particularly if you had a bad experience. In fact, I feel like you're more genuine when you share those experiences. Even Disney isn't perfect after all.
I laughed so hard at Jen response to dmv. Delaware, Maryland, Virginia area. Lots to do around here.
DMV stands for Dc, Maryland, and Virginia lol
Hi from Charleston, SC!
Hi Jenn. Dmv stands for D.C, Maryland and Virginia
FINALLY made it to one of these live🤣. Hello!!!
I dont know if they are stilling doing this due to Covid, But if your staying at Poly you can get in room dining ohana dinner! I feel like thats the best bet, and they give you lots of food!
My favorite song from Encanto is "Dos Oruguitas"
Do you think for hhn 31 there’s still going to be plexiglass and do u think there’s going to be a scream or ghostface house for it👀👀?
Comments on screen are really good! Really hoping to take the grandchildren to Paris next year 🤞🤞also we all know the best marvel is Iron man..... Love you 3000 😂😍
Is this the live video when you mention the Book of Boba Fett? No spoilers but you will want to watch it. There was one episode I wasn’t enjoying but the next two have more than made up for it.
@Lmpeekey is right. We where also one of the first when OKW opened up in the 90s and everything has gone bad. The Vacation club use to be like OUR own private CLUB now it feels like a normal hotel stay. Disney is so costly the 7 night stays are like forget it. :(
How’s Jackson’s driving? Not good! 🤣🤣🤣
I miss the live! I was working. But I am catching up now
I love Emergency Awesome for Marvel and Star wars review videos! they are super good
Aw I missed the live. My family will be down that way in December.
You can buy whatever you want with DVC. They will find whatever resort you want.
Ding dang, my internet was out and I missed this! Maybe next time!!
Jackson Would love Santaland in Cherokee NC closes after Halloween though open during in summer
We don't have pennies in Australia.....should I use one I brought back from USA or use an Australian 5c piece?
Def need to come visit us in australia
Grand Floridian might open up again as they are currently expanding
You guys should pick Vero as the home resort
Ohhhh I missed you guys!!!!
Please call DVC ans speak to a sales rep. They are great and no pressure. You will get all your questions answered
