I know you said that as a joke, but imo the best way to experience Trails is in fact when you have a whole year or more to marathon twelve 100-hr games back to back, like I did during the COVID lockdown. For others, it may be during a sabbatical, or better yet, retirement.
Falcom fans are eating so good right now, it's so crazy to see how far things have come. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think a worldwide release would be a thing for ANY Falcom title, let alone a Trails game. Seeing all the new and potential fans jumping into Sky 1st Chapter will be a treat for mega fans like me and others out there. Thank you for spreading the word as always, OJ!
The first thing comes to my mind is that Proud Nordics would have been a version that's specifically for the New Switch. Probably enhanced and to take opportunity on Switch 2's hardware that just making it just a software update for 2023/2024 Nordics not possible.
Lost soul aside MC was explicitly inspired by Noctis back when it was revealed in summer 2016 as one of the first China hero project games! Gamescom demos in the past have also made the DMC combat comparisons and it’s funny to look at this game in what is now a post FFXVI world. I’ve waited almost a decade, I will absolutely be there day 1
I hate that I couldn't keep my armor weapons and ship upgrades I got so used to Ys IX and even VIII let you keep your armor I mean certainly if the sword was the reason they could have implemented a delay flag that would keep the sword from activating the story until the right moment
That YS:X better let us upgrade as DLC i feel so burned after just buying it for $60, Also OJ you Funny AF man talking about Notics younger brother like that
Same here. I literally purchased it yesterday and then saw this video today. That said, I am absolutely going to get my money's worth and play it before the new version comes out! This video just moved it up to number 1 in my backlog.

The only downside for me is LRG will be handling the CE's for this game. Definitely, will not be day one release haha
Best part of the sky remake is as trails fans we can finally all agree where to start now when talking to newcomers. Probably.

Dropping the parent series title certainly worked out for Persona.

I am happy that Sky 1st will get a PC port and that it will be a worldwide release. Also the animations, music, art style everything looks topnotch!
