We were out trimming trees along the hayfield. A dust devil popped up in the center. I ran out and went through the wall! I walked inside it for 100 yards! Wizard of Oz came to my mind! Really cool, I’ll never forget it! My son and brother witnessed it!
Ben I hope everything is going well. I hope you have a productive day getting some acres under your belt. Enjoy setting back watching your videos, very informative keep the knowledge and action coming. Definitely look you up at the next one. Stay safe!!
These are the videos ppl NEED to see to really understand what are farmers do in a day! Yes all the highly produced drone & fancy shots are catchy, but just tagging along with our farmers is my favorite. I watch a lot of generational family farms. I know the hell the gov’t regulations, taxes, overseas sellouts, pressures to sell to gov’t connected corporate farms(or Bill Gates “solar farms”-let them eat bugs plan), CCP sucking up acres & much more has done to them for decades. Food security is national security. I only trust our American owned family farms to secure my son’s future. Need more of them.
Big days planting corn. Best time of any farmers life. Now you get to hope it grows and you get to have the same big days doing harvest. Be safe !! Thanks 😊.
Center fill is the only way to go! Man if I takes you that long to get to the Big D from you’re part of the world you drive way to slow! Andrew, it’s a Jimmy Buffet song! It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!
Congrats on the land pickup Andrew! The draw bar on the demo planter seems awfully low to the ground and the planting units seem to be pitching nose down from my point of view. So that five o'clock thing is just an excuse to consume adult beverages, Right? I'm not that discriminating. A beer is more nutritious than a donut, I think?🙃🙃
Sounds like you need to have your buddies go to that farm and shoot some does. Thin them out a little. Then have some amazing back straps and deer sausage.
A great video as always but even better showing all the hours that you put in - one day. Yup farming is all about the weather and the timing hope you nailed it. just a hind site I did it on my job with the railway and had a great life. Keep the videos coming.
When you have a chance please explain how and when you apply the necessary fertilizer (N, P & K plus additional trace and micro nutrient) requirements to your crops. I notice that some folks appear to be applying nutrients via the planting equipment and this alone increase fill up time when planting whilst others are trying to practice strip tilling as a separate operation and yet others are broadcasting either pre or post planting.
How many units can you actually put in the bulk tanks? I can get 80 acres to a fill with my 16/32 with box extensions @140k population. It sure would be nice not to have to chase any box lids
why don't you ffeed that planter from the REAR OF IT... like back to back ??? instead of moving the tender for each side?? is there things in the way that makes that not viable? it just seems like there is more stuff to hit doing it the way yu'all are... :)
lol, case IH tears good one. Hallelu Yahuah may you bless him, bless you most high for eternity.

Thank you Ben! Your real life view of farming (real budgets, real problems) is appreciated!! You still need s big square baler though! :)
I’m happy for you Andrew 😊
Hope you got some of the rain we got up here, much needed.
The heat causes the dust devils.
It’s getting warmer!

That would be crazy to see

Might be able to do that.
Great video again, love your insight to farming. By the way if you need help with transplanting deer somewhere else let me know. Haha

I think we’re going somewhere around 37 with a 12/24 standard
🙂❤️💯🖐👌👌👌👌
What type of drone are you running? You also do a very good job at flying it while also running the machine!
Im digging that toolbox. Does it keep everything in place? Where did you pick it up?
Ben, why’d the price of soybeans drop so much?
What drone do you use?
What pants were you wearing? I've been looking for new work pants.
What do u set your guidance distance for the interplant?
I think it’s 28.5
Thermal updrafts…….
