Ben, I don't know if Kinze sponsors any UA-cam channels, but if they want to reach their market.... zeroing in on their target market (buyers) they really need to look at you and Molly. In all seriousness, you are articulate, practical, and you speak the language. I've been following you since the beginning and I've watched you grow and grow in subscribers. As a farmer, I watch channels where I can learn something. Keep it up.
I know a guy who traded planters that his new to him planter came loaded with enough corn seed to plant 55 acres! Previous owner just left it in there.
Upgraded to the newer meters shortly after they came out several years ago. Night and day difference from the old Edgevac meter. Way easier to set and more forgiving with different seed sizes and weights.
what gets me is when these guys bring out stuff to up ground speed next thing you need is big upgrades for down pressure to hold units in the ground and such then they get the planter in the field and then have all kinds of down time fighting all that upgrades and end up doing half the acres they did before all upgrades
I wish @kinzemanufacturing had options for guys with old finger pickup planters to upgrade to vac. I have an old Kine 2300 the toolbar is fine but man to get some of the new tech only way to get it is upgrade planters to newer stuff
Lol…I’m old school finger meters on a 3600. Simple is great but I have tons of point rows and no auto steer yet. You can see my setup in my videos if your curious.
..... :) when you gettin one of those new monitors and the monitor system???? that one that troubleshoots and all that other stuff???? :) is that comming NEXT??? or will that have to wait for a NEW PLANTER ???
But Kinze is being upfront about it. They have 2 meters of this style and the True Rate is much better preforming. So when it cost almost as much for purchasing the wear points for the old style, it makes sense to just do the upgrade in my opinion.
Unbelievable to me that farming equipment manufacturers produce and sell equipment that requires maintenance and replacement at this pace. They're crushing the family farmer.
It is a 10 year old planter, has wear points that were being replaced for the first time. If we were to buy the parts for the old meters we would be close to the upgrade!
Ya there hard to turn IF YOU DONT CLEAN THEM😳🤫. No PARTS AVAILABLE,must be an old planter 🔥🔥👎 ,sounds like a pressure sales tactic 🧐🧐???? Thanks Ben,Andrew and Molly.
These were wear points that hadn’t been replaced in 10 years. If we were to purchase replacement parts for the old meters we would be close to the cost of the upgrade- it’s just logical to upgrade!
Little farmer is going to get screwed the worst . Surprised Kinze is doing this. Don't believe John Deere is doing anything like this. 7000 on up can get anything you want. Someone correct me I'm wrong.
Merry Christmas and stay safe to all of you.
Merry Christmas Van-Roekel Clan🎄

Sounds like your enhancing the planter capabilities, which is a good thing.
We think so!
Hope all is well haven't heard a peep in three weeks.
Interesting vid👍big thanks for Kinze with upgrade n not having buy new planter, interesting is software n showing of seed single, double on display.
Glad it was helpful!
Very interesting.
Glad you think so!

Yikes!
Upgraded to the newer meters shortly after they came out several years ago. Night and day difference from the old Edgevac meter. Way easier to set and more forgiving with different seed sizes and weights.
Good review, can’t wait to put them to the test.

We still have air bags, hydraulic downforce will be the next upgrade!

I don’t know if they do or not!
👍👍👍👍👍
Remember folks, if the parts are gone they are no longer available. Lol
I wish the 1200 monitors weren’t so stinking expensive. I’d like to put one in with row clutches and use it for auto steer.
I can help you out with that!
Lol…I’m old school finger meters on a 3600. Simple is great but I have tons of point rows and no auto steer yet. You can see my setup in my videos if your curious.
Did you have to add an alternator and harnesses to run the electric drive true rate meters?
They are still driven by the same drives
Hey Ben how are you and Molly doing good to see you finally got married on
Sure did!
Merry Christmas to you and Molly
👍❤🎅🎄

AHHHH TYWES!!! YES>>> ok NEW MONITORING SYSTEM :) YEA!!! I WAS 2 mins too soon asking but leaving in anyhow for the ALLOWGROWTHRYTHEMz !!! :)
Forced part obsolescence, what a good deal haha. I know of another planter company that makes parts for much much longer...
