- One of rock’s wildest and most reckless drummers, Keith Moon, tragically passed away on September 6, 1978. Known for his chaotic lifestyle and legendary performances, it wasn’t his heavy drinking that ultimately ended his life, but the very pills prescribed to help him conquer his addiction. This powerful profile captures Keith’s final days with rare archival footage, dramatic reenactments, and intimate interviews with those who knew him best.

No matter what, Keith provided pure drama on drums to some of the greatest music in rock history. Bless him. RIP
I never got to see the Who with Keith. I saw them with Kenny in 1980. My sister got to see him on their US tour in 1976. RIP🕊️🕊️🕯️🕯️🙏🙏❤️
Craziest Drummer in History but Super Duper Talented
Keith Moon was ADHD before any MD Knew about that kind of medical Condition. Plus He was a very Large Child. Did what he wanted when he wanted. He was having Fun from day 1 of The Who 🇬🇧 until the🪦His Bipolar energy blended perfectly with Townsend's own psychiatric issues. Both being Genius's with incredible gifted abilities! If Keith hadn't played the 🥁 He would of ended up in Prison! He could have been a fine Actor 🎭 but the alcohol was taking its toll. It wasn't "Suicide" it was his Time & ❤ just Stopped.
I think he had mental issues that were just laughed off as Moon being the Loon,....but,.....obviously it was more than Keith being Keith.
Looking at him autism perhaps he was to intelligent for the drugs it shuts you off once you get to out of balance with the medicine
That sort of behaviour was also a particular 70’s phenomenon I think. It was expected and people encouraged it in a way they wouldn’t today. Others like Oliver Reed, Klaus Kinski, Richard Harris etc carried on like that to varying degrees.
@@regandunn4850or ADHD that he self medicated. Maybe he would have got good medicines and counselling today but then maybe the world would have missed The Best Keith Moon style drummer? I hope and think he had quite a good time most of his life anyway. 8:31
Some people live to be remebered..Some make us remember..!!
NOT TO BE TAKEN AWAY
R.I.P. Keith
Keith aged after 13 but his mind didn't. Fun fella. I would of definitely chilled with him. To certain extent 😂
Would have* stay in school, little buddy 👍
Surely if he had ADHD the speed would have worked as medication?
He was a prime candidate for the LOONY BIN
He was a prime candidate for the LOONY BIN! 😢 😮
Poor old Keith,he was definitely mentally ill.
There was a hard core NUT JOB if ever there was one! 😢😮
Never had any time for Moon.
Neither did Townsend.
After the way he treated Norman Gunston he really showed himself up.
What a twat

Annette was a ringer for Kim.
It was clearly suicide, but it’s never stated as such
I’m not sure, if it was anything like that I think it was a cry for help. He had been rescued from near death situations so many times before.. 😕
I think he wanted to get clean but in his mind he had a heck of a time just trying to separate being the life of the party.
@@jaysteinhauer9562 ....physical addiction....
I'm not sure. Maybe he thought you couldn't die from the pills... But he'd also been told no more than 3 in a day and he's taken around a third of all the pills he had, maybe more... 26 undissolved.
From what I understand he very recently got them. They were supposed to make you feel drunk, but probably not the exact feeling he's after, which could lead to taking more..
He's reckless, has an addictive personality, does everything to excess and he might think they are safe since he got them from a doctor.
But it's possible it was suicide. You'd think anyone would go one pill at a time and wait for the effects to kick in... Also even if you're Keith Moon it might not be easy to get more if you gobble all your pills in 1-3 days. Not a concern if you only need them once.
I still lean towards it being an accidental overdose.
No it wasn't. I'm not a fan in denial.
I do know everything bout' Moonie and he wasn't suici**dal, he REALLY wanted stop alcohol, marry Anny, play with his group...
It was so normal for him...
My other "god" Kurt Cobain him, YES was completely suici**dal and after 2 "trys" the gun was THE solution
His drum solos were a joke
I saw no talent in his drumming skills
You’re a fool then.

You need to listen to The Who's recordings.
