And the best damn frontman, RnR singer and songwriter, too.
Charlie: one of a kind, a jazzman steeped in blues rock, and the good spirit of the Stones. A very simple drum kit, no frills, a jazzman's light touch. Still, as RnR as they come.
Keef: the other songwriting Glimmer Twin; the Human Riff, the stuff legends are made of. Need I say more?
Mick: to me singing the blues and RnR is not belcanto. It is shouting, growling, screaming, howling, whining, off key.. Mick the frontman is second to none. And the other Glimmer Twin.
Mick Taylor: a young guitar prodigy, an unbelievable guitar player. An integral and inseparable part of the best Stones' years. Albuma and live gigs. Reminds me of another guitar "wunderkind", his contemporary Neal Schon, then with Santana, later with Journey.

This video called Brian Jones the lead guitarist. I find no evidence of Brian ever playing a guitar solo.

Brian and Keith would trade off the lead guitar part, they called it weaving.

@@TheaterPup that's what we're told. When I listen to those early records, it always sounds like Keith playing the solos. Video evidence confirms this. Do you have any evidence to support your position?

@@davemish4163 Lol Dude it’s not a conspiracy, it’s well known to all Stones fans that Brian played lead on for instance Little Red Rooster, The Last Time, and Get Off of My Cloud. Plenty of video and documentation on that too. Including from Keith himself, he was a big believer in the weaving technique they’d formed together.

Keef first spoke of "the ancient art of guitar weaving" when talking about how he gets along with Woody.
      Try reading Keef's "Life".

@@branko4033 Ehhh your research is incomplete. Keith always says he gets along with Woody on guitar because it's the same weaving technique he created with Brian. "You know with Ronnie we seem to be able to get back to the original idea of the Stones, when Brian was with us in 1962, '63. Two guitars has always been my particular love because I think there's more that can be done with that combination than almost any other instrument. But what screws most of that up, and this is the bag I fell into with Mick Taylor - whom I love deeply and I think is one of the most incredible guitar players in that kind of music you'll ever get a chance to hear - is that there's this phony division between lead and rhythm guitar. It does not exist. Either you're a guitar player or you're not. And if you are a guitar player with another guitar player, there's no point in designing one thing to one... there's no freedom there. This way with Ronnie is more like what it was with Brian, because we had basically the same ideas about guitar when Brian was still very interested in guitar. It's two guitar players and one sound."--Keith Richards, 1975
