BTS being famous for philosophical and the most mature wise lyrics in kpop. Their songs like Mikrokosmos, Answer:Love Myself, Young Forever, House of Cards, Epiphany, Serendipity, Singularity, Not Todayetc. Also lyrics about social issues like their rap song called Bapsae/Silver Spoon, Ddaeng (full of puns), No More Dream, Dope, Cypher 1-4. They have many deep songs with amazing deep lyrics. Can’t believe the fellow idols don’t know that they’ve been number 1 for three weeks. First week number 1 second week number 2 third week number 1 etc on the Hot 100 which very difficult to get to. They don’t even know how musical versatile BTS music is. It’s not generic boy band stuff but real deep stuff. Awesome party music, rap music, Spanish inspired music, classical inspired music, jazz inspired music etc. Disappointed in the lack of BTS knowledge. BTS stands for blocking out stereotypes and pressures that reigns on today’s youth. BTS has the best full rap songs and they never stopped releasing one or two full rap songs in their albums. They do every genre in their albums.
BTS breaks genders norms. They work out to be healthy they don’t try hard to be the stereotypical muscular guy and their not the stereotypical skinny korean guy. The more I got to know bts the more I find out that their thought process is the most mature and wise people out of all the kpop industry.
...and with the doctor show he means "The Good Doctor" with Freddie Highmore which is based on 2013's Korean "Good Doctor". The Korean show only has 20 episodes, the US one enters it's 4th season and keeps changing since it can't base its stories on the Korean original anymore. I see there's also a Japanese as well as a Turkish adaptation of the show.

BM talking about Wembley Stadium made me have serious flashbacks to day 1 when jin did the ”ay yo” chant that queen did. That was so monumental for them to be the first kpop group to perform at that stadium as well as the O2 arena (which I saw them perform at as well on day 1) it just shows how much BTS have widened the spectrum for kpop worldwide. I'm so proud and grateful to be a part of their journey.
Tbh in my country the hallyu wave was always there from Boys Over Flower etc.If i looked back kdramas were more popular than kpop but after Bts break out now everybody including my non kpop friends,families etc know them. They really made the impact for the kpop world.
yeah kdrama was also popular in Saudi Arabia even kpop was popular as much anime is here but it got even more popular ever since BTS got popular in the west so literally everybody in Saudi Arabia knows about BTS
2009. Boy before flower really huge in SEA. After that Kpop become soooooo popular. I think Hallyu wave in my country start in late 2000s (2009/2010 yes start with Kdrama, Suju, SNSD etc) And than Big Hallyu wave in middle of 2010s (2013-2015) because technology/internet. There are so many local group inspired by Kpop. After years Kpop is quiet again but in late 2010s (2018-2020) the last the Bigger Hallyu wave because Kpop break so many record (BTS) and personal sosial media
Thanks to BTS, I was interested in kpop and kdrama in general, & also their culture. Now I'm glad i found so many other groups and soloists to Stan. Back then I wasn't interested in kdrama's coz most of them were cringe but these days the kdramas are getting way better.

Back then the kdramas I watched are those dubbed one broadcasted in my country then subtitles became available but not as accessible as they were now. I used to buy pirated cds before 💀 and the quality aren't even that great, sometimes it hurts my eyes reading the subtitles because they're so small. Then slowly drama sites became available and look where we are now. There are even kdramas on Netflix now. We've come a long way.

My tv channel used to import dubbed korean dramas thats how i pretty much started watching kdramas like Daejangeum. Kdramas were getting big in Asia back then on top of just being watched in Korea and by Korean-Americans etc
@@mel_sj my earliest recollection of east asian dramas broadcasted and dubbed in my country (I'm from SEA) is Meteor Garden (2001). That pretty much started everything for me. Looking back now, it's amazing how much progress we've achieved through the years.

Dynamite debuted at #1 on BBHot 100, held onto to #1 for the second week, dropped to #2 for two weeks, reclaimed #1, then dropped to #2 again, BUT the Savage Love BTS remix was #1. They are only the 5th group in HISTORY to have the #1 and #2 places at the same time (The Beatles, The BeeGees, Black Eyed Peas, Outkast, and now BTS). They dropped to #5 in this latest week, but they've also held #1 on both BB Global 200 and Global 100 exc. US.

Kim SamSoon is such a good drama! I started watching kdramas when I was studying in China, I started Coffee Prince dubbed in Chinese and came home before it finished so had to find a way to watch the end and never stopped ☺️

ahhh you're making me walk down memory lane. I was there for the first Hallyu Wave!!! My mom was so into Stairway to Heaven. The first k-drama I watched was Full House with Rain and that's actually how I started to listening to Kpop...through K-drama OSTs. Even though I didn't stan any groups, I listened to so many groups during that time...they made such good bops too. They would go on variety shows to promote their singles, and I'd scramble to look up the name of the songs.
BTS Dynamite debuted at No. 1 on BB100 (Sep 5th) and stay at No. 1 the week after. Total of three 1st place on BB100. Sep 5th: 1st (debut) Sep 12th: 1st Sep 19th: 2nd Sep 26th: 2nd Oct 3rd: 1st Oct 10th: 2nd Oct 17th: 2nd and 1st for Savage Love - BTS Remix Oct 24th: 5th Winter Sonata is my first K-Drama (2002) - I watched it in Australia & there was subtitle in VHS. It was very popular among Indonesian people. After Winter Sonata I didn’t really keep up with K-Drama and not exposed to K-Pop until BTS in 2018...
Including BTS in pop category was amazing but recently their old album that was resold entered BB Rap Album . It was weird but amazing seeing them on the same list as Eminem , Kendrick etc.
Thank to Boys Before Flower, F4, Go Junpyo, Geum Jandi and friends. Because this Kdrama, Kpop enter my country in 2009. Lol. Before 2009, we already know Kdrama like Dae Janggeum, Dongyi, Endless Love, Full house etc. But we don't know that was KOREAN Drama. We just watch it as Asia cinema. In our TV there are so many Asian Cinema (drama) from Asian country like Japan, China, Taiwan, Thai, Philiphine, India etc But when BBF aired, that drama become sooo popular among Indonesia people (because F4 of Meteor Garden was popular too). Because that drama we curious about Korean Culture. Internet was so rare. So TV take a huge role. There were Kpop MV aired by local music show. kpop song in local radio, Kpop news in news paper and Magazine. (I still have that old magazine :D) In 2012-2013 There is the first Kpop concert. SM Town, SS4, SNSD world tour, Music Bank etc and main group are from SM. SM group become sooo popular here. Until now Siwon and Lee Minho still the most popular Korean Actor/Idol in Indonesia 😁 Local group inspired by Kpop debut, the first fanwar in my country. Local group fans vs Kpop fans lol. That a wonderfull memory. People always bullied Kpop fans and Kpop idol. But we stay loyal. Most of us are multifandom that's why we don't need fanwar. We enjoy music together. We fight Kpop haters together. In internet cafe we download MV and MP3, we share it in class with friend by Bluetooth/Infrared 🤣 Kpop MV, Variety Show and Kdrama are Treasure. We save it in Flashdisk and watch it together if there is no teacher in class 🤣 There are so many story about this and the amazing one is we share the SAME experience hahahaha This comment is too long.. This is golden era of Kpop in my country. Maybe this is same era of Kpop in US now (or other country). Ps. I really wanna tell more long story but my english really bad. Rip grammar. Sorry.

Thank to Boys Before Flower, F4, Go Junpyo, Geum Jandi and friends. Because this Kdrama, Kpop enter my country in 2009. Lol.
Before 2009, we already know Kdrama like Dae Janggeum, Dongyi, Endless Love, Full house etc. But we don't know that was KOREAN Drama. We just watch it as Asia cinema. In our TV there are so many Asian Cinema (drama) from Asian country like Japan, China, Taiwan, Thai, Philiphine, India etc
But when BBF aired, that drama become sooo popular among Indonesia people (because F4 of Meteor Garden was popular too). Because that drama we curious about Korean Culture. Internet was so rare. So TV take a huge role. There were Kpop MV aired by local music show. kpop song in local radio, Kpop news in news paper and Magazine. (I still have that old magazine :D)
In 2012-2013 There is the first Kpop concert. SM Town, SS4, SNSD world tour, Music Bank etc and main group are from SM. SM group become sooo popular here.
Until now Siwon and Lee Minho still the most popular Korean Actor/Idol in Indonesia 😁
Local group inspired by Kpop debut, the first fanwar in my country. Local group fans vs Kpop fans lol. That a wonderfull memory.
People always bullied Kpop fans and Kpop idol. But we stay loyal. Most of us are multifandom that's why we don't need fanwar. We enjoy music together. We fight Kpop haters together.
In internet cafe we download MV and MP3, we share it in class with friend by Bluetooth/Infrared 🤣 Kpop MV, Variety Show and Kdrama are Treasure. We save it in Flashdisk and watch it together if there is no teacher in class 🤣
There are so many story about this and the amazing one is we share the SAME experience hahahaha
