Timothy Hutton was phenomenal, was absolutely the lead actor but can see why they didn't want him to go up against De Niro in arguably his most famous role
Ordinary People is a terrific film.. I agree about Sutherland, but the other 3 actors in that film were so good, he’s overlooked.. Mary Tyler Moore was so good in that movie..
Donald Sutherland was phenomenal in that role.
Redford should have been nominated that year for Best Actor for Brubaker.
Indiana played North Carolina in the 1981 NCAA title game!
I agree about Cruise in Rain Man, as well.. Charlie Babbit is one of the all time great characters in cinema history.. And he should’ve won the Oscar..
The same could be said about MTM that no one could have achieved that role the way she did.
That it was the evil mom and she was a "mere" TV star, the Academy gave it to the Loretta Lynn portrayal. Did MTM deserve it more? I think so.
Joe Pesci is phenomenal in Raging Bull (which also fits into the theme of eff'ed up family February) and should have won.
Hey Mallory...
Apex mountain for the name Buck. Tv show Buck Rogers in the 21st century
One year later and you know what fucked up family February was good
Dances with Wolves beat out Goodfellas
Ordinary people was a very good film.... it's just not Raging Bull
You're right, it's far better
It's better
It’s better - better character development, story, acting, ect. All key roles hit it out of the park re: acting.
You shouldn't take the lord's name in vain😂
