- There are many ways to build faster, and today I wanted to specifically talk about the GD editor keybinds - but not just any keybind - a new SECRET 2.2 keybind that leads to an insane time-saving feature! 99% of the creators I've talked to don't even know it exists or what it's used for. VERY IMPORTANT: I know this video excluded mobile creators and that unfortunately isn't something I can change, since PC has features Mobile doesn't. Still I'll do my best to make my next videos helpful for everyone, including all of you mobile homies. =)
EDIT: NEW VIDEO OUT! It's on a similar topic, but it doesn't involve any keybinds. I'll show practical tips that can help you build more effectively and keep things organized and flowing while using the editor.

Also, excuse the random mic sound changes!!! On my first recording the audio ended up being a bit distorted (as u can probably tell from a few parts of the video), so I was playing around with equalizing, which made some recordings sound different from others.

As an experienced creator, none of this was really new, except for the copy + color thing, but the save position thing at the end, WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS BEFORE, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!

@@auskgd I’ve known about it. I just don’t build platforms much so they’re not helpful for me. Maybe I will use them for pushing into speed.
Keybinds? On mobile we have FINGERS that are everywhere on the screen, clicking everything fast
Hahahah yea, unfortunately mobile doesn't have access to a lot of the ones I mentioned tho, but everyone prefers working on a different platform !!! Next videos will include mobile creators =)

@@bestbrothers2250 Thats not something i can control. PC has more features than Mobile, so ultimately that leads to content being different for each. My videos usually include all types of creators, but these features aren't on mobile, so logically it won't be a video for mobile creators
@@auskgdYeah, as much as editing on Steam is sped up with keybinds, the mobile players were here first. No offense though, I almost only knew up to the basic keybinds anyway.
TL;DW : Ctrl 1 = save positoon 1, Alt 1 = moves your camera to that position you saved, Ctrl 2-0 and Alt 2-0 save more positions.
position saving/loading keybinds is a future that's genuinely going to help so much how did I not know about this

I knew about it, that's weird that noone else knew about it, I found it by checking the shortcuts menu when 2.2 came out, wasn't really so excited about it
be honest weve only figured out position saving cus we accidentally pressed one of the F keys and we didnt know how to revert it back

A new keybind "Alt + f4" makes creating so much easier!
Amazing and quite underrated! I am very much a beginner so even the shortcuts shown at the beginning really helps me build more efficiently too, because I never bothered to look at them or even knew a button that shows the keybinds existed :l

I also learnt that keybind randomly but Ngl knowing the keybind for copy+paste helps me more

he forgot to mention that by pressing Alt + f4it will automatically optimize your level. Doing this saved me hours and probably over 50,000 objects.

@@marcxworld5708 I say "upgrade" because for me it was a huge upgrade (from android tablet to a pc). Obviously everyone has their personal preferences, but saying pc and mobile editors are equal is straight up not accurate as they have different features. I've been creating for over 4 years now, and the fact is the PC version has more features and keybinds that allow for much faster building. I'm not saying PC creators are better nor am I saying mobile creators are worse, no need to be hostile about it lol

(Im not a good creator, i don't have creator points or amazing levels but i do it for fun and i like doing it fast because most of my levels are layouts)

Ayooo it's always cool to find other Brazillian players of this game nice, Very glad to randomly have found this video through my recommendations, even as a mobile creator, for sure I'll be using these shortcuts whenever I can consistently play the game on PC again!
Loved the content, looking forward to the next video! Also as much as it is up to Rob, I do think the solution of saving and loading positions on mobile could be under some menu or button somewhere hopefully that gets added at some point

5:38 you know, i actually knew this after 2.2 was released for a moth, was building an extreme for a gdps bc i was bored and uhhh. The same thing like you explained it happened! i was like "what da heil" except i was like "what if i do fn" nothing, "alt?" And that's how i know that feature. I didnt really use it ngl, i didnt find it amusing or anything, just found it annoying to say the least. But uhh yeah that's basically how i know the feature.

I knew this “secret” keybind for a while. It should be told some where, unless it’s in the editor guide, but no reads those.
Why didn’t I know the preview lock, but did know the save position thing was there because I randomly discovered it…
editing is crazy on this one, great work!
