I prayed on my knees in the Gettysburg parking lot infront of many tourists & the curious, after i, about 5 years ago, warned the United States military, of an ongoing burgening Civil War, perhaps saving you ver lives.
I am a Hoosier Hispanic Latin Catholic, American by birth, and these lands have changed names in the past 500 yrs. My family from Texas, Arizona and Southern California. It was native land, Nueva España, México, now America!!! My grandfather said the border jumped us, not we, it. Irish 🍀 on both sides of the war between US and Mexico. Irish 🍀 still honored on both sides as well!!! A move from the 1999 call "One Man's Hero". May God bless The Irish!!! 09/07/18
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. I did not know about this. I am a Catholic immigrant from a Latin American country: I want to be a true Catholic in a true American
This a really good fact, for all Catholic’s to know!! Thx, for teaching us this wonderful fact!!! I will show to my Catholic family members. God bless!!! 12/20/18.
One of the opening statements is so true about children following what your parents do they don't go to Church then the children won't go And it's so scary about the children by time they are 6 years old watching more television than talking to their fathers in their lifetime
@@jacoblopez989 Some technicalities but it's basically small differences in their rites and sacraments. The foundation is the same but cultural and military power shifts over the centuries kind of led to the differences between liturgies in, say, a Roman Catholic church. I'm not the best at explaining it though but I hope that helps somewhat lol
I've been to Gettysburg. The Irish brigade is one of the only units to have more then one monuments. The monument to Corby stands on the actual rock he stood on.
The 1993 movie "Gettysburg" has a scene showing Fr. Corby granting absolution to the Irish Brigade. Plus, the 2003 movie "Gods and Generals" depicts the Irish Brigade fighting a Confederate Regiment at Fredericksburg that was also mainly Irish.
I have a deep wonderful spot for Irish 🍀 people. St. Patrick, other St. Saints from Irish 🍀 country. Plus it's influence on many nations!!! It suffers much, but than blessed many times after. The Patricios in Mexico!!! Irish 🍀 connections with Spain, ect!!!
I got my daughter on the phone, as i was homeless, when i prayed also at Shanksville, & Antietam. I had my Catholic house defrauded from me about 25 yrs KKK
Thats true in the movie of the san patrick's batalion they touch that subject on wich them Irelands were discriminated becuase of their faith so they passed to the mexican army becuase they had the same religious belifs
This was not the truning point for Irish Catholics, what about John O'Reilly and the Patricios during the Mexican American war that came after the civil war, the Catholic Irish still had a long road ahead of them after the Mexican-American war.

Every Catholic Man knows that there is nothing such a general absolution without an individual absolution after you survived.
