The solar panels on these radios will not charge the radio if the battery is low. They are designed to keep a fully-charged battery charged, after you first charge it with a power adapter. You must turn the crank quickly (2 times-per-second) to charge the internal battery or another device. I prefer the Kaito KA500 or KA600 radios. They have all the same features, plus shortwave receiving, and weather Alerts.
IVE GOT ONE WHEATER RADIO VERY NICE IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE DURING EMERGENCY STORM WHEN EVERYTHING IS DOWN YOU GOT YOUR RADIO I SUGGEST THAT YOU BOUGHT ONE SOON. ..
Kaito 500 Voyager is the best for about $70. US, but I bought a similar Keeper called: HQ Issue, from Sportsmans Guide recently with all the bells & whistles for about $50. US, in ODG with waterproofing, 5 way charging & the ability to charge other units. It's the medium-sized one I'm recommending at 2"w × 6"h x 8" long. Vaya Con Dios!
I could not receive any of the NOAA channels without adding a long wire antenna, so I bought a KA600 radio, which works better, and you can tune directly to any frequency with the digital tuning.
I bought one new in box at a pawn shop for $10 I left a review on amzn for it. it's a good radio. though I would prefer a digital tuner, like the KA600, I'm not complaining.

you didnt test these at all, you just ran an infomercial. these type of videos are unhelpful
this more like a comparison commercial. do you make a test/review video?
We do make test/reviews as well! Check our Gear Review playlist.
@@goOutdoorZone - of these products?
So...... nothing about charging capabilities? 2000 to 10000mah? Nothing?
Did you not actually test these radios and are only repeating advertising information?
Yes, we did. Except for the Eton Sidekick.

@@goOutdoorZone copy that it might help those who don't know about a life saving radio.
This is garbage. It's not waterproof. It barely picks up a signal at 8k ft, and the crank and radio died in less than 3 months.
