Wow, I'm literally here cause I watched Amber's playthrough of Hollow Knight, Then watched Outer Wilds one and somebody mentioned this channel in the comments. So I watched Oliver's Outer Wilds and discovered he also played Hollow Knight. Dare I say... It is a fun loop xD
The magic behind this game is how there's basically no bit of info left unanswered. Even the most insignificant things like signs coming back when broken have a reason as to why, it really urges you to explore and find answers to piece together a big puzzle on your own. Favorite game hands down
I think if you're an attentive player (as Oliver very much is) the only new info the mossbag video is gonna give you is tidbits from some really hard to find secret rooms, and it's not worth watching a whole hour for that
One simple way to remember which is which: stalaCtites hang on tight to the Ceiling while stalaGmites grow from the Ground with all their might. I learned that somewhere in elementary school and it's stayed with me for about 30 years
I love this channel for the simple reason that, it makes me feel nostalgic, the youtuber discovers the game at the same time as us and the ambience is just idk how to call it but it feels good. And another thing is you also don’t let others define the way you play. As you said you do these videos and play this games for yourself and that matters greatly, because people tend to get influenced by others and care less about what they want. Keep doing what you want to do dude
I really enjoy your attentive style of playing. I find it very enjoyble to watch the player really engage with the game and take their time, reading all the dialogue and observing the environment, as that's how I generally play games too.
God I’ve seen so many players going to the game with high expectations and get those blown out of the water, they always say it’s great. I can only imagine someone with low expectations going into hollow knight of all games. What a ride this is going to be.
Came here from a supercut of your Outer Wilds playthrough - I plan on giving the full thing a watch as well, to catch any goodies I might've missed - and seeing HK (my favorite game of all time) and Subnautica (one of my favorite games of all time) playthroughs made me so happy I almost started crying. I really needed this joy rn. I'm excited to catch up and see things through to the end along with you! :D
Just found this series while cooking dinner. I love seeing new HK players ask *all* the right questions. I'm stoked to see you play my favorite platformer ever.
Hey Oliver! Been working my way through your recent series and wanted to say I'm a big fan of your style (even though you weren't really a gaming youtuber until 3 months ago) Cheers and have a nice day :)
Out of all the games you've played on youtube so far, this is the only one I haven't played myself. I've actually had it in my steam library for a long time -- just never got around to it, because I heard it's one of the more difficult platformers, and that intimidated me. So now I'm going to try watching you play it instead, because I enjoyed all your other playthroughs so much. Thanks for being brave enough to try this game so I don't have to! 😄
wow I love how curious you are when playing this game! I've watched many many playthroughs of this game and you are the first one that I've seen who actually opened up the inventory and read about what all your stuff is. awesome stuff
Just discovered your channel from a cool edit of your Outer Wilds playthrough, and I just wanna say that you're an absolute delight to watch! I love how deeply you dig into every game you play, it's so entertaining.
At the very beginning, I was reminded why I like watching these playthroughs. Oliver turned on the menu and just took the time to listen to the music and appreciate that moment for everything it was. That's the kind of shit I love
I just finished your Outer Wilds playthrough and it was one of the best let’s plays I have ever watched. Excited to see you start this amazing game and will absolutely stick around for whatever you do in the future :)
I’m looking forward very much to this gameplay! If you like the game’s soundtrack and piano, I recommend checking out the Hollow Knight Piano Collections by David Peacock. I simply love the arrangements! But it might be better to first finish the game to prevent spoilers from any song titles.
ive struggled to keep up with your other lets plays because the videos are so long, but as hollow knight is my favorite game ever, i HAVE to watch this series!!!
NO SPOILERS: If you like this type of gameplay, you should look at the original sources of the genres names. Metroid and Castlevania. Both have absolute gems in their catalog. But for you I bet you would really enjoy Metroid Other M and Metroid Dread. If you want, you probably have a powerful enough of a setup to emulate the GameCube and record too, in order to play the original Metroid Prime games. The amount of lore and scannable items that reveal more lore in the game is insane. The environment and soundtrack are also legendary. That is where I discovered my passion for fictitious science.
Happy to be able to get back into watching your videos! (I'll be playing subnautica at some point so I've been avoiding spoilers). Hollow knight is a pretty rad game, and I might have a recommendation or two for other games to play at some point depending on what you like and don't like about this one (neither of them metroidvanias, funnily)
i have a prejudice against some games too, and stepping out of your comfort zone for that can be so rewarding. hope that's the case for you in this game! catching up on the channel
Oh man my body is ready for this one! Hollow Knight is my favourite game of all time! The emptyness after finishing your Outer Wilds playthrough is now filled with this!

Yes!!! I wanted to see you playing this game since I first watched your gameplay of outer wilds
Man, your observing skills thrugh the roof
Just finished your Outer Wilds playthrough, which was amazing! Happy to see you play more games I enjoy.
YESSSS LETS GOOOOO FINALY OMG I BELIEVE IN YOU , DONT GIVE UP
Just found this series while cooking dinner. I love seeing new HK players ask *all* the right questions. I'm stoked to see you play my favorite platformer ever.
This game is one of my most favourite games ever! Thanks you for playing it, and thanks youtube for recommending your video
Man I just ADORE how much attention you pay to the world and the details.
How have I not seen this until now! Going to be binging this series. Love HK and love Oliver's playthroughs
Hey Oliver! Been working my way through your recent series and wanted to say I'm a big fan of your style (even though you weren't really a gaming youtuber until 3 months ago)
Cheers and have a nice day :)
I'm loving how observant you are! You're really drinking everything in
Amazing! I wish I could experience this game for the first time again, so I look forward to you discovering this world on your own!
ive struggled to keep up with your other lets plays because the videos are so long, but as hollow knight is my favorite game ever, i HAVE to watch this series!!!
it's always nice to see how players not used to 2D games struggle in the early stages of the game, only to see them kick bug ass in the lategame
Oh goodness, Outerwilds, Subnautica, Obradin and now Hollow Night!! Only masterpieces there IMO - I heard you mention Tunic, you will love it too!
Finding your Outer Wilds playtrough was amazing (like 2 days ago for me) and now THIS. i feel like im dreaming
Hey! Thanks for checking it out :) Always cool to see new people in the comments
wow i was just loving ur subnautica series and I never even knew u had a hollow knight series, they are both my favorite games
NO SPOILERS:
If you like this type of gameplay, you should look at the original sources of the genres names.
Other M? Maybe you should suggest the good Metroid games first. XD
"My biggest question is 'Who am I?'"
It is, as ever; THE QUESTION
i have a prejudice against some games too, and stepping out of your comfort zone for that can be so rewarding. hope that's the case for you in this game! catching up on the channel
Oh man my body is ready for this one! Hollow Knight is my favourite game of all time! The emptyness after finishing your Outer Wilds playthrough is now filled with this!
Found your channel through a channel doing supercut, it was yours about outer wild, love that playthrough.
And here I am, excited to see your adventure in hollownest!
I found the exact same video. Started watching the DLC episodes and this after
Time to spend every waking hour watching yet another HK playthrough. I won't regret a thing!
