Scout has to supervise everything. He's my fishing buddy also. You need to do some Dutch Oven cooking of something. You will be hooked. A good dessert is always a hit.
How can I do this in an oven? I have a cast iron Dutch oven, but I’m in school so my only way of getting heat is an oven. What temp and how much time would you recommend in an oven?
You can do it in the oven. Keep the lid off of the dutch oven cause the oven will heat everything up. As for what temp you need to run your oven is 350 degrees. That is a good universal temp. As for as how long just start at two hours and then start looking to see if he meat is drawing back on the bone and also if you have a temp probe then probe the meat until it is done. 165 internal degrees. Some might say less and some might say more but if it is falling off the bone it is done. Use what every BBQ sauce you like on it. Good Luck

Good question and yes some were burn but remember it was the base so the ribs would not burn but you can still eat the taters. Thanks for the question.
