Thanks for a great demonstration. I made dinner for my wife and I last night using this method. She told me that they were the best ribs that I have ever made. Usually I use my pellet grill. These were definitely “fall off the bone” fantastic!
I made these ribs this afternoon and they turned out great. My husband said they beat the ones he makes in his smoker. Thanks for the recipe. I love watching Laura’s show also!
Just saw you for the first time, and subscribed after this simple rib recipe. You can't get much simpler than this, and less messy. Thanks. Now all I have to do is go get the ribs. Thanks
I made this this afternoon. Began at 2:30pm then at 5:30pm, I put that sauce on it. Delicious! My wife and daughter loved it. The icing on the cake was, I made meatballs and home made fettuccine to keep in the freezer for another time, while I waited for the ribs.. thank you so much for the video!
New subscriber!!! I love this video!!! The taste test was worth its weight in gold!!! I’ve never cooked in a Dutch oven before. I have two that I haven’t opened. I think I’ll put one to the test with some baby back ribs. Thanks for the demo. 👍🏾👍🏾
Even my dog would refuse that bone. I'll have to share the meat with him. I had no idea it was this simple. Next week is rib week for me. Thank you for sharing this.
Glad to see this method! I have been avoiding the aluminum foil wrap method for a few years, and use my small covered enameled roaster to make ribs in the oven. Basically the same effect. YUM!
Very nice for indoor ribs. I kind of do the opposite for ribs on the grill using charcoal and wood chips for smoke flavoring. I sear them to a light brown and then brush them with b-b-que sauce and let them caramelize on both sides and then I wrap them in aluminum foil and let them finish cooking on the cooler side of the grill.
I have just read some of peoples coments here that are way down the list here and there is some aweful rude people in this world that should keep their insults and coments to themselves, but I guess the way they have been brought up...thats impossible..good job chef and I made these in an ordinary oven and they turned out juicy and delicious.😊
Ivo, these look amazing! I'm going to try this the next time I make ribs. I used to make chicken wings that had hoisin sauce and some other ingredients and they were delicious, I just can't find that recipe now😞 Thank you for sharing...looks easy and scrumptious 😋
For all those commenting/complaining re: the length of the video, I watched a tutorial on getting started on youtube and, apparently, youtube prefers longer videos to those shorter in length. I have no way of knowing if this is, in fact, the case, but it does seem as though many youtubers seem to stretch out the length of their videos (I'm not saying this is true of Ivo).
Thanks for this feedback....I'm not sure if UA-cam prefers longer videos or not, but I just film as I naturally would, hoping to ensure I cover everything 😊😊 Thanks again for writing in 👍👍
If my rack of ribs aren’t as thick as yours looked should I cook at a lower heat in my Dutch oven for 3 hours or it’s not going to over cook them to just follow your method? Thank you
i love a dry rub rib.. probably will give this a try but put a splash of liquid smoke in bottom of pan. i usually just make an aluminum foil pack closed up for oven cook..less clean up- im lazy..lol i guess i will try the dutch oven.. thank you .. looks good
Thank you for your delicious looking ribs recipe which even I can cook! I like the look of your Dutch oven but because it is cast iron can you suggest something which is not so heavy and still keeps all the juices in? Mmm can’t wait 😛
@@CookingwiththeCoias Sure I am planning to give it a try. Also, I should receive a new Dutch oven within few days. Despite being so busy as a professor but I watched your video to the end. I have subscribed to your channel to get all new since I am currently live oversees.
I LIKE YOUR RECIPES! I just made the Raisin Walnut and Cinnamon bread. Delicious. I will print and save his Pork Rib recipe. Stay well. Mike M. in Oceanside, CA.
Great to hear from you in California and so happy to hear that you made and enjoyed the raisin walnut bread and you are going to absolutely love these ribs👍👍
I'm a BBQ nut with every smoking gadget out there. I sometimes oversmoke which troubles my wife so I thought I would try this recipe. I have to admit but these ribs were crazy tender without being mush. No smokey flavor of course so season well, easy to do but your dutch oven is going to get crusty...but well worth it.
New to your channel! Great video - my mouth is watering! 3rd generation Sicilian here - my husband & I are going to try your Italian sausage recipe - he’s German, so we have the equipment for making brats, so we should be good to go! Your wife is darling! (I hope I will be as patient as she was untangling & rinsing those casings!) Anyway, I wish you showed how you removed the silver. Was that little piece all that you removed? Or did you take it all off? Thanks! Love your channel! Keep ‘em coming!
Yes - the silver skin is on the back and you just peel it off, but sometimes, the butcher would have done it already....and I absolutely love Sicily!!! In fact, in the near future, I will also share my version/recipe for arancini :) As for the sausage, so glad you are going to make it, as it turns out fantastic every time 👍👍
If you party freeze the raw ribs I find it easier to remove with a regular butter knife. Just get the knife under the end to start and with your hand & paper towel pull off.
Searching for easy oven ribs recipes and saw about 10 so far but this is by far the easiest and they look amazing! I can't wait to try this! If you don't have a Dutch oven, can you just use an aluminum pan and cover it with foil?
So happy to hear that you enjoyed this episode and that you are going to make these ribs😀 if you don't have a Dutch oven, yes, you can use your aluminum pan and then seal tightly with aluminum foil - in this case, I would also use 2 or 3 layers of foil as well👍👍

Use white pepper instead of black pepper! What is in Hoisin sauce? I do not want any sugars. I am drooling at those finished ribs! What a lovely simple recipe
So glad you enjoyed this episode and hope you give it a try someday 🙂 The hoisin is sweet and yes, the first ingredient on the label is sugar at 18% by volume - but you can use any BBQ or rib sauce that you like - these ribs come out great every time 👍
This looks fantastic. And I love your small counter top oven. Can you tell me what make of oven it is and where I might be able to purchase it? thank you
Forgive me if I missed it... is your dutch oven 4-qt or 6-qt. Great demo! I do my pellet grill as well (and my egg smoker)... but this was quite inspiring!
A small dash of liquid smoke would be great in that BBQ sauce of yours. I also like to wrap my ribs, brisket or whatever in parchment paper. This holds in the juices really good.
