- It's been a few months since I've made an update on this project, thank you to everyone who has reached out to see how things are going.
In this video, I give an update on the truck, glue down the rear roof sheets, and begin installing the rainwater collection system.
Thank you all for watching and supporting me during this project.
Dan
The craziest project 🤩
It's looking good"* 👍 sending blessings Simpson 💯👌👋🙋✨ UK England 😉✨
Coming along nicely. Been following you, and I am aware how small things like collecting water system becoming very important part of the project. I am almost there to start my similar project and learnt a lot. Thanks for for the videos and good luck with the rest of your work.
What a job! thanks for sharing. Subscribe & thumb.
Kind regards from Brittany of France.
thank you very inspiring
This is my favorite build on youtube! So cool you don't follow what the rest of the world does do! Just make you own masterpiece!
Thanks Victor! I just make it up as I go along
Glad to see you back on the truck. Hope all is well, keep up the good work.
Thanks Jason
i am so amazed b your work. I have seen some expedition trucks made by big companies (worth €500.000 up to a million). but what you are doing alone is just great! and so well thought trough! can't wait to see the final result.
Brilliant projects and amaizing warehouse!! I live on a small island, so that size building is just not possible here. Sorry you had a personal issue but so glad you got past it and back to making. I have really enjoyed watching your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Aida!
Hi Dan
Your solution combining the two component door panels is brilliant
Well Done!
I hope that you can incorporate insect protection as well
Thanks Kevin! That will be the next bridge to cross. Thanks for watching
I can't wait for the next video. I think the end result is going to be AWESOME!
Thanks mate!
How about a guide in the middle at the peak for the peak to slide through and give a stiffening support to stop the wobble
Coming along nicely, Dan. Hope you're okay.
Thanks Geof
thank you for detail video as great job there
Thanks Robert
aferin. güzel oldu. 🇹🇷
Came for the boat but staying for the truck, lol! Very nice work.
Hahah thanks Roderick!
Came for the truck, way back when, got sidetracked with boat now back to the truck!
Good to see you back making videos Dan. We all have times in our lives when, for whatever reason, motivation takes a nose dive! Glad you got your mojo back.👍
Question I have, will you introduce a physical lock to the rising roof? I would be really worried a fault or failure could activate the actuators while you were in there sleeping! I'm thinking about maybe solenoid bolts to hold the roof open that require a seperate button push to unlock from open?
Thanks Paul, Im not sure about a locking system yet. It shouldn't need one but we'll see what happens there
Dude! You are a legend!! Best build around! I'm curious how you fastened everything to the truck frame?
Legend ! Love it brother ! Im thinking of installing a couple pull outs in my jayco make it a little bigger but not sure if it will work on there ! But love the videos brother !
Thank you! It's a good way to get a lot more space
Just curious. You only can open the door if you have to raise the roof first?
Hi Dan, good work and very unique design. I have tried to contact you via email from other site, regarding the tension free subframe mount plan. Do you still have it available? Thx
Yes it's still available. You should be able to purchase the plans off the website
hi Dan I am writing to you from Bolivia, , can you help me with the details of your supplier in Alibaba for the purchase of the actuators ,? Thank you
Hi Javier, if you check out the video I made on the rear deck linear actuators, all the details are there in the description
