    Do you remember how much space you allowed on each side of the top to pass by the bottom, ie 1/2", 1" per side?

    Your prob done by now but I would just put a suspension lock up system in the back end of the truck and then the only movement would be in the tyre side walls which would be minimal. Cool video mate... I'm watching in NZ

    Hi, I use 5550-II's or PXC-550's (loved them until the battery died) and recently I have upgraded to Bose QC Ultra to help dampen noise even more. I am considering a new project, which may seem like just a mental exercise but it has to start somewhere. I purchased an all-aluminum travel trailer, which had one-piece panels and solid foam insulation. However, I found out that air invasion and insulation were still issues. Therefore, I would like to find a way to seal the air as well. The temperatures here can reach up to 120°F with long summers. Additionally, I may also be exposed to high humidity and air pollution at times. I would like to use solar power as much as possible and will opt for thick solid insulation unless I can find a way to vacuum insulate. Thanks for sharing!

    So much colors and textures on the truck. And then you have the plan to paint the inside WHITE 😭 🤣 don't do it 😘

    • @realfamilyman
      @realfamilyman 3 місяці тому

      White is good for ceilings... So many people make their motorhome ceiling some dark colour and it's like walking through a dingy nightclub. A white ceiling with dark walls is better than white walls and dark ceiling. Because light reflects down from a white ceiling onto surfaces. But if the ceiling is dark you get shadows on every surface that doesn't have a light directly above it, and surface mount lights project a narrow beam downwards. e.g. You can have a round surface mount downlight right above your head, look down to chop some vegetables, but where the knife is there's shadow! I don't know why people do it... Maybe they want the natural look of wood, but wood ceiling AND walls looks tacky. And you don't walk around with your eyes up on, or even look up at the ceiling when sitting down - so why make it match darker walls. Most of the time you look straight ahead or down, and only occasionally glance up anyway. So a ceiling should be matt white and if you want colour do it on the walls not the ceiling (like nearly every house is). Anyone who has been in a nasty greedy landlord's rental where they've used whatever paint they could get free from a garage sale on the ceiling knows what I mean. I was in a house once that had all light coloured pine planks on both ceiling and walls. It was the middle of a sunny day, bright outside, but inside it was like a dungeon. They had a glass wall across the back of the house looking out on the backyard, where the dining table was on the left and lounge area to the right, but apart from watching TV, everything else needed a light turned on. White walls with dark trim say an inch wide would look ok, but if not, yeah I'd probably make the walls darker than the ceiling (but not DARK), not much darker than a lightly-stained wood like a country farmhouse look.
