This is a cover of the blues song by Howlin' Wolf. The "killing floor" was a term meaning a bad situation especially with a woman. It comes from the job in slaughter houses on the killing floor where someone had to kill the animals before they are butchered. So it was a bad situation.
They even throw "on that killing floor" into the lyrics of the song as the homage to Howlin' Wolf.

Greatest band ever led zeppelin they are untouchable
The bass line on this is killer from start to finish. "The Lemon Song" starts off based on "Killing Floor" by Howlin' Wolf. But the really salty part is from Robert Johnson's "Travelling Riverside Blues" -- "Now you can squeeze my lemon 'til the juice run down my \ 'Til the juice run down my leg, baby, you know what I'm talkin' about" ... For more souped up heavy psychedelic blues rock from Led Zeppelin, check out "Black Dog", "How Many More Times", "You Shook Me", "I Can't Quit You Baby", "Heartbreaker", "Bring It On Home", "When The Levee Breaks", and "Nobody's Fault But Mine" among many others.
