Tip: use a piece of painter's tape to close the powder and any makeup container that doesn't have super tight closure, to keep it from opening in transit. Painter's tape will hold it closed but let you open & re-tape without messing up the container.
I have a makeup bag very similar to that and it is perfect. The perfect size to fit essential brushes, a sponge and a small collection of makeup. I can never go back to the large hard shell makeup case again.

I also recommend putting a piece of cotton or cotton round inside any compacts with pressed powders. It adds a tiny bit of impact resistance.
