Nice job mate, I plan on doing the same sort of thing- will fit uhf, Bluetooth stereo, speakers, map lights and USB charging points. I am building a metal brake at the moment to fold up the steel. One question, does it vibrate much from the speakers? I was wondering if a covering of marine carpet or similar would help to deaden any vibration?
Thanks Justin. I made this video back in 2003. Since then I've upgraded the speakers and stereo and given the console a makeover. It is probably not acoustically correct.. but if there is vibration it's not noticeable over the engine noise. I'm sure some insulation would improve the sound quality.
@@mattmclennan6848 do you remember what thickness steel you used? it looks nice and rigid. I just bought a plasma cutter and im making a metal brake to bend up the shape. You dont still have the dimensions you used do you? Cheers
