Wish I had been looking & found a KTM 65 engine for cheap.... If I kept the pedals on & the engine quiet I could get away with riding it & using as a daily driver. The extra gears would be so nice to have..... I think it'd be better & cheaper than an e-bike build.

They're out there! You just have to jump on them. It's possibly cheaper for what use get performance wise but not necessarily directly comparing to an e-bike. With my frame, rims, engine, and everything else all put together it adds up fast!

Great work I bet it is fun! I'm also thinking about going this route on a felt Faker frame I have lying around. Got to find a decent deal for the engine and I'll do it.

I’m glad you mentioned your vice grip shifter . Because I been looking on the internet looking for the gearbox🤦 not knowing that I apparently have to buy a shifter arm separately. Hopefully when my future purchases go through fruition, I’ll know where to install the arm because it obviously goes on the left side but I’m just not familiar with these engines

Be careful with that engine mount on a aluminum frame... It will crack it over time with the amount of vibration, steel and aluminum don't like each other. FYI use vibration tape on the frame before clamping

What frame is that? I might have missed it in the video.

It's called a Felt Faker. Similar to a gasbike frame. You can find them on ebay or some of the motorized bicycle sites. :)

Here in Brazil, we have motorized bicycles, but we don't have this type of engine. Is this engine a 2-stroke? The water cooling is also interesting! Congratulations on your project.

Yes, it is a two stroke... A 65cc to be exact. It's off of a KTM dirt bike.
