Twin Engine Motorized Bike - In Depth Look
Hope you got it running ! Would suck to see a piece of American motorbike history turned into a lawn ornament ..... Very cool bike !
When's her first real excursion?
Nope, not the roller coaster it’s a bike
Very nice work on this build! It looks really kuel!💯 Looks like a strong frame to put it in and that the key #1!Looking forward to your next build #2. Keep up the great work my friend and stay safe out there.👍
If your gonna build them don't do anything fake makes your build worthless check mine out every thing built to do its job
It sounds like a little yamaha banshee
Very cool bike.
You could also use a dual brake lever for the clutchs
Where did you buy the engine mounts
They’re all home made out of 1/8 steel plate
is that a 3.75 litre gas tank?
Excellent video fantatic Like and greeting my Friend from Argentina nuevo suscriptor suscribete 😊
I majorly disagree, my car rn is a 72 sonett 3 and it runs beautifully and i have been able to find performance parts to replace the broken ones..... you just have to look deeper than surface level bruh.
You did amazing work I am glad you are still kicking your family is probably scared of what happened but that is part of motorcycling we take risks but we enjoy what we do even when it kills us but that is part of the risk you cannot give up on your passion because of fear for a slow death is worse then dying doing what you love.
Hey there again just wanted to ask what your top speed would have been probably 60 50 mph ? Thanks
It was geared for around 50-55... It honesty probably had enough torque to do it too. Never tried though sadly.
@@samstermotorizedbikes would you say that a 30 tooth rear sprocket would be too much for the engine to pull or would the engine be more inclined to torque the sprocket so much as to concern the rear wheel spokes and bolt reliabiltiy thanks again
what im saying is.. would the rear wheel sprockrt experience so much torque that it would destroy the rear wheel setup!!
Being a1971 Sonnett III, it's certainly a 1500 cc V4 Ford engine, called the Essex in the UK, and Cologne in Germany. Interestingly, it was exactly the same engine as that fitted to SAAB 96 sedan and wagon. In SAAB model numbering tradition, the Sonnett is sometimes referred to as the SAAB 97. I understand that it was the first four stroke engine used in SAAB cars. Before that, they were all two strokes, and required a mix of oil and gasoline at each refill, just like a lawnmower.
Dude!
The engine is actually a Ford V4 essex,
Very cool bike bro
was this build faster than the twins you've put together?
What shift kits are you using
Everything but the jackshaft is from sick bike parts.
@@samstermotorizedbikes would you need an addittional two shift kits to be able to run four engines?
hey any more content on this particular build
Sadly for this particular twin build no. The multiple other twin engine builds however I do have quite a few of videos on them on my channel.
@@samstermotorizedbikes awsome stuff one could only imagine what a four engine bike would be like lol
How tall are you? I’m 6’2” and not sure I would fit in one.
I’m actually 6’5” with long legs and I can fit tether comfortably with the seat all the way back.
My dad bought one new same color . When he converted it from 2 to 3 at the dealer the difference was huge. The handling was excellent and it could eat up any Corvette of its time. Thanks for refreshing the memory.
Could probably use one of the fuel tanks of the cheap 80cc china bike kits. The bike loks alot like them
Yes, it would but remember, I'm keeping the patina
Real nice, I used to restore vintage Hondas. Just curious what town you live in?
@@markray7794 Just north of Albuquerque and I'm actually not making a loony tunes joke lol
@@samstermotorizedbikes lol. It looked like nevada.
She's gorgeous.
Would be so cool to ride that beautiful crusty machine down them gravel/dirt roads!
If you would have had a headlight on there he might have saw you
Its been three years, would be great to have a run down on the troubles its had and what its like when one engine gets trouble and the other doesnt. Very interested in marking ip a desigm and dling this to my own bike
Sry never-ending I see the update 😢
Dam dude that sucks glad to see your up and around hopefully you sue the dog shit out of the idiot
Great work I bet it is fun! I'm also thinking about going this route on a felt Faker frame I have lying around. Got to find a decent deal for the engine and I'll do it.
How do you even do this 😭😭
Wow, I have never seen one of these in original condition. I often wondered what a new one would look like. Yours may not be new, but its in remarkable condition even with all the flaws. Thanks for making the video!
The whole thing is strange, Nothing like an Indian ,Why Bother.
Cool. Can't to see the action vid.
Original paint!? Wow that's crazy man Beautiful car you have
160cc chinese banshee engine goes hard ngl
I’m calling it a Chinese banshee from now on lol
Sounds amazing! 🤩😍👍
Soooo sweet.
Sweet looks and sounds awesome brother
Heck yeah! Glad to see an update and this thing scooting along!
👍🔥🔥
Ive hit 35 with a 38 tooth it is a yd100 tho
If you make any more improvements, it won't be a "Rat-Whizzer" anymore. I have an old Honda Trail 90 with sticky transmission, too lazy to dig into it , probably a bent shift drum stopper gizmo. When I was a kid, I had a Schwinn D-6 with front brake, always wanted a Whizzer motor but later bought my first '48 Indian Chief.

How fast does it go
I’m glad you mentioned your vice grip shifter . Because I been looking on the internet looking for the gearbox🤦 not knowing that I apparently have to buy a shifter arm separately. Hopefully when my future purchases go through fruition, I’ll know where to install the arm because it obviously goes on the left side but I’m just not familiar with these engines
Very nice, I have a 1974 and 2 1973s the 73s are parts cars but the 74 is green also and 70k miles I've had for 40 some years it had 30k on it when I got it but really haven't driven it much for the last 30+ years, been stored inside. anxious to restore it. Got stop by the Missouri HP once who thought it was a 240Z. fun to have something most people haven't heard of or seen.
that's awesome but sounds like a nightmare
A beauty, love em. I am partial to the earliest versions with the hand laid fiberglass, not so much the Shrike (2 stroke) motor. You scored.
