- I had some master boards laying around and wanted to use one of them.

I used my distress paints and inks and some stickers and Ideaology ephemera pieces and the result is a dozen ATCs! TOO CUTE!

Those are great. It seems so intimidating to start making them. I have to make a master board for another project so maybe I can make a few with the left over? Thanks for sharing.
You know, I actually meant to say in the video (and of course TOTALLY FORGOT 🤦♀️) that you can also just cut out heavy paper into 2.5x3.5" rectangles, and just make them that way. I wanted to try the taping off and cutting down to see what I get (it's more work, but more surprises which I like and wanted to try). I Hope you get to make some and they bring you joy! TFW! 💜
I am more and more starting to want to create my own papers, etc. for my journals and really feel the need, strange as that sounds….lol😂….inside…., To branch out and do other mixed media and painting. Collage, etc. I still enjoy using digital, but really only like a few pieces of it anymore in my journals, and on canvas or other pictures find myself starting to look at pictures or ephemera in a way of considering how I can cut it apart to achieve my desired outcome. So enjoyed the multiple level creativity mixed with the Tim Holtz style ephemera.
Oh interesting! I had very similar feelings at the end of last year! I started doing more gel plate prints to have my own collage papers (a LOT of fun, btw! Deli paper is my favorite paper, btw!) And I wanted to branch out into more 'real mixed media' if that makes sense? So I joined Wanderlust 2024 this year, which is an art journaling course--so much fun, really really scratches that itch I had for more 'real' mixed media (what does that even mean, brain? 😆 ) Oh I hope you enjoy the journey you're on to view things in a new, wonderful way to create different, amazing things! 💕 TFW! (and for joining ME while I go on my own journey)💜
Also? Im jelly. You live close to good groceries! I don’t know that I would frequent Whole Foods because of the price, BUT they are super fun to check out! We didn’t even have a Trader Joe’s……ughhhhh…..
I literally chose this house because of it's proximity to the Trader Joe's in town 😂 We looked at another house farther out that was 40 minutes from Trader Joe's and I was all "NOPE! TOO FAR!" 😝 I didn't realize that the closest store to me is Whole Foods. I didn't shop there much until moving here and it's close (but holy SMOKES it is very expensive if you aren't careful -- so I try to be very careful)
@@TheHalfassCrafter girl. my closest TJs is 2.5 hours away. Everyone that knows me always contacts me if they are in the vicinity of one and says, what do you need? Hahaha those are true friends. lol
I send my MIL a box of TJ's goodies every year, because she doesn't have one even that close (hers is like 5-6 hours away). She loves her TJs box! 😆
