Oh my god i finally found it! The bird I've been hearing all day at my job. They are floating on the lake but too far out to see what they are. They are very vocal, pretty much all day they are 'moaning' non stop. It sounds more like a moan or a whine to me.. kind of annoying if im honest. Lol

@@BHGull I love gulls (along with most other kinds of birds). I'm no bird expert or anything. I just love watching them as they go about their activities. I used to go to Point Pleasant Beach in New Jersey, and I remember seeing these gulls fly about and call to one another. They were often seen with other gulls along the beach, but these Laughing Gulls were unmistakable with those dark heads as well as those sounds they made. Unfortunately, there will always be some people who don't like them...as Edulumex said. I'm guessing he/she had a bad encounter with a gull in the past.
