I put a deaver stage 2 on my 3rd gen TRDPRO. It went up 4 inches and drivetrain vibration was aweful. Required a 6 degree shim to eliminate vibration. My truck has a tonneu cover only added weight..tell your buddy to remove overload leafs and maybe one more and that should have him at 3” lift……still need a shim. Good luck
I hv the icon rxt’s on my Tacoma. Because I added a Decked storage system in the bed, have a Snugtop shell, and prinsu top racks my stick springs were negative flex. The Icons (full pack) gives it some rake. I just worry that the overall weight of stuff I hv is too much for the truck. How do yall handle all the stuff you put on ur trucks? Makes me want to remove the Decked system and get rid of a leaf.
So i want to replace my leaf springs. I'm not looking for that 'extra' lift height, since I don't haul heavy loads. ANy recommendation on type of leaf springs to replace the OEM??
Question! I have a 3rd gen taco. I am running a Decked drawer system (think around 150-200lbs) + Super Pacific X1 camper (300lbs?) + Rigd ultra swing arm with spare 35 inch tire and table. Think Deaver stage 2 or 3?
Hey! So if I wanted to achieve a 3 inch lift in the front and 3.5 inch in the rear what would be my best option. I don’t have bumpers or a topper or anything, but I haul a lot of weight. I also like the look of extra rake when unloaded
I’m sorry I bought mine straight out of the lot like that. I’m busting my ass off at work to save up to make my 2021 4x4 tundra more functional for off-road use.
$40,000 ? On a truck? 🤣 Tacomas in 2021 are $70,000 stock new Plus lift, tires, racks, etc. They are $90,000+ builds 👍 My 2021 Tacoma Off Road 4x4 Manual Is $100,000 build. Where are you getting $40k ? 🤦 Just registration was $7,000
Off subject here but where can i get kyle’s “trd semi-pro” bed panel vinyl? I also love the r4t vinyl on the grey tacoma. Either way my tacoma is black and the truck is all blacked out, but looking for bed panel vinyl to dress it up a little.
@@cylekorver385 hey man, how much weight were you running on the back? I’m debating and stuck between a stage Deaver 2 and 3. It’s a daily and I tend to run the back just below 600lbs but when I load up for a trip I’m for sure pushed past 700lbs
Thanks for the vid! I have the UpTop overland bed rack and the skycamp 2.0. Im going to eventually move to the RSI bed canopy with the skycamp 2.0. Should I go deaver stage 2 or 3?
Great video, nice explanation of the difference between some of the major brands of leaf packs and AALs out there. I have an Icon Stage 4 and used the leaf pack that came with the set. Thinking about adding the 1.5" AAL from Icon for a little bit more height, it may allow me to adjust my front end a bit to match the rear and get rid of some minor rubbing. With all of that said, and most importantly, can that upside down G sticker be removed from the frame?
Nice demo! how much weight is the back of Kyle's truck that he's getting that much lift out of the stage 3 deavers? if I upgrade leaf packs, would I need new shocks to compensate for the higher spring rate and change in ride height?
Great explanation. So if I've currently got a 3"-2" lift package installed on my 3rd gen and go with something like the Deaver Stage 3, is that an additional 3" lift raising the total in the rear to 6" (within the load parameters, of course)? If so, can you raise the front to reduce rake as well?
This! I’m stuck trying to figure out if I need a stage 2 or 3. If you can give us the weight of his truck I think it could better help us determine what stage springs we need. Thank you in advance.
@@gregktm I did, and it sets me at about 620lbs. The stage 2s are rated for 400-600 while the stage 3a are rated for 700-1000. This is why I’m stuck between the two.
@@ManuelDA You should call Deaver and ask them. I'm in the same boat with a camper. Stage 2 until I tow the camper. Then stage 3. It will be stiff without the camper. Good luck!

Hi. I have a 23 Tacoma 4X4 Sport. I'm going to install the Bilstein 5100 and OME 2" coils on the front. If I do the AAL in the rear, wouldn't that just put the rake back to the way it was, only higher? My goal is to lift, but level the truck? Suggestions ? Thank You.
Hey! First of all. I think you should do a little bit of research. A 5100 is essentially an OEM replacement shock. There is really no "upgrade". Also, OME kits are made for heavy-weight. See how much weight you plan on putting on the truck before just getting a lift. You will save yourself a lot of money by doing it right the first time.

Another grate video. Thanks for the info. I am interested in the 1.5 leaf. By adding the leaf would it make the ride a bit smoother ?
What is the rige height change without the additional leaf on the icon . Thanks
Great video! After installing the lift/suspension do you still have the "taco lean"? If so, how were you able to address it? Thank you
Taco lean can easily be fixed with any coilovers

Hey what brand of rear bumper is that?
With the deavers add a leaf. I've read that it says to take the overload spring out. Is it better to keep it in?
It is better to keep it in

Check out the icon rxt leaf pack. I have a 3rd gen Tacoma with a decked system and a RSI smartcap. Did it on the first setting and gained 2.5 inches

If you do that you'll have 1.5" of rake which is a lot. I would recommend air bags in the back if you're going to be towing
I don't understand how someone can spend 40K on a truck and add a block to the rear. Good video showing the correct way of raising the rear.
Bro, why a 2wd Tacoma?

I would not recommend that. It's not made for that. I would recommend a kit made for a 6" lift

who made the rear bumper?
