I remember singing this with headphones on when I was in middle school after the day it came out and my classmates were confused of what song was I really singing 😅. Mash-ups wasn't a big thing back then so they didn't know. DJ Earworm blended the songs so good that every verse made sense, so my classmates thought it was just one song.

Pulled this up again after years and was not prepared for just how nostalgic it made me. 2009 was the year I had to move away from my childhood home during middle school, and my memories of the friends I haven't spoken to since came flooding back.

I remember listening to this song many years ago on my mom's computer. The problem is the audio file was untitled and only played until 2:22 so I never really got to finish it and ended up listening to an 'unfinished' song over and over again. Until now I found this video randomly and for the first time ever I get to listen to it until the very end. I can't stop smiling.
After listening to other mashups i realize how good this mashup is. I think the secret to its success is that there's an actual structure. There is a part that keeps coming back; a sort of chorus... the part where it goes "Blame it on the pop, blame it on the dance, blame it on the rock and roll". Most mashups lack this sort of structure. It's just such an amazing mashup, and nostalgia only makes it better each year!!

Man, i cant believe its been so long since this came out. I first heard this from a flipnote on the og DSi and i was on my way home from the ER. I didnt have wifi at the time but i used the hospital wifi to download a few flipnotes, and luckily this song was on there. Little me will forever cherish this, and the memories it gave me. Man i miss the old times
