@@theohasskills9814 To not like ION milk and almond chocolate and Merenda hazelnut chocolate paste is *almost* like saying you don't like a beautiful sunset or you don't like toddlers and not find them adorable. Masticha costs somes *hundreds* of euros per kilo, and it's one of the "secret" ingredients in pastry around Europe (and current;y the world) for many centuries. Hi Alex and Kate. Anna and I had so much fun watching you try the items we sent. To answer your questions about the Masticha sweet, I read in the comments that it's served with warm water, but honestly I've never had it served that way, only cold water. This was very entertaining to watch. Stuff was either bought at Titan or Meditarenean in Astoria. The person had great taste in snacks and the contents of the box are probally close to 100 bucks if not more. I know bc I get the same exact stuff when I feel the need. I feel that the croissants with the pudding inside was missing from this list of snacks and loukoumia and pastilli.
we have a joke about caprice, which was actually used of the company as an advertisement, that because in every greek home we keep the container to put in other stuff, if you actually find caprice in the box its your lucky day😂
You might want to try the halva with a bit of honey and cinnamon drizzled on it. I've never tried it like that since I like it as is but it you might like it more like that. The "spoon sweets" were what people would traditionally give you when you went for a visit; always served with a glass of water and not always necessarily with coffee. You can also use them as toppings for icecream or Greek yoghurt. Greek yoghurt is also really good with honey. Kate, you were right; the other gum was rose.
I am from Greece 🇬🇷 Thanks for this video really! I so happy when you try this candy and chips and so much stuff! I really wish you enjoyed them! Bravo! 😊
I love the Ouzo candies but they are really hard to find here, seem to be an after dinner treat at the cash out of some restaurants mostly. There is a Greek bakery store in town that has big bags of them but I rarely get there, it’s off the beaten track for me. They are often combined with some in red wrappers that are either cinnamon or pomegranate ones. Yum
For context, the Caprice tube wafers are notoriously difficult to remove from the packet when you first open it because they are so closely packed together. There are loads of Greeks shocked that you managed to pull one out so easily and quickly.
Cold water guys!! It supposed to be very cold the water for the white mastiha paste as you call it!!! I hope you really enjoyed them because as greek in the Uk i am jealous and hungry!!!
Oh my God! My grandma always used to serve me this sweet on spoon in a glass of really cold water. It was always vanilla though because I didn't like the masticha flavour back then. It is called "ypovrichio" in Greek which literally means submarine.
You made my day guys!!! You are so funny and willing to try different flavours and that's just so special!!! I have to mention one thing ,as i am greek, you must not use the same spoon you ate the jar sweets again in the jar because it will go bad really quickly...put it in a plate instead 😍 sorry for my English! Love you 😘😘😘😘🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
Hello Alex and Kate thanks for taking the time and making the effort and sharing another interesting and fun video seeying all the different treats that i have never seen before and that we dont have here in Australia is really interesting again thanks for sharing another awesome taste test video.😁🤗😏
Hey Kate and Alex! I was pleasantly surprised to see you got a box from a young lady that lives in Queens, NY. I was born and raised in Queens and my brothers still work at a hospital near a Greek and Eastern European neighborhood in Astoria. It’s where I would pick up Croatian snacks when I lived in NY. I sadly never took advantage of trying all the other countries snacks much so never had any of these. I loved this video! I didn’t know anise and licorice was favored in the Greek culture. I do love anisette liquor and cookies very much as well as licorice candy. Thanks for this video and I can’t wait til the next one.
Loved your video, as for the mastic the reason it's considered unique is that it only can be harvested from the mastic trees on the norther part of the Island of chios (attempts to plant the tree anywhere else only yielded a tasteless sap when they tried harvesting it).

The person had great taste in snacks and the contents of the box are probally close to 100 bucks if not more. I know bc I get the same exact stuff when I feel the need. I feel that the croissants with the pudding inside was missing from this list of snacks and loukoumia and pastilli.
25:00 HELLO FROM CHIOS ISLAND THE ONLY PLACE IN THE WORLD WE WORK HARD TO CREATE MASTIHA, A PRODUCT THAT ONLY EXIST IN SOUTH CHIOS
we have a joke about caprice, which was actually used of the company as an advertisement, that because in every greek home we keep the container to put in other stuff, if you actually find caprice in the box its your lucky day😂
You might want to try the halva with a bit of honey and cinnamon drizzled on it.
Mmm yes! Great shout! I reckon that would be delicious.
Oh wow, I bet those are delicious with Greek yoghurt!
Thank you Chris 😀
@@ThisWithThem you're welcome
Greece has some good chocolate it's not super sweet or bitter
Yes that’s very true
I am from Greece 🇬🇷
Thanks for this video really!
Yum
I can so see them being as an after-dinner treat! Ah no way! At least you can get them if you are really craving them ☺️ Mmm pomegranate ones!! Yum
Thank you for such great videos and you are right it is so nice to see what other countries have
Thank you so much Lisa! So glad you think so ☺️

Hey
What an awesome box!
For context, the Caprice tube wafers are notoriously difficult to remove from the packet when you first open it because they are so closely packed together. There are loads of Greeks shocked that you managed to pull one out so easily and quickly.
Im from greece and when i saw caprice in the box i said "this is fir me"
You should try caprice with dark chocolate its delicius
Cold water guys!! It supposed to be very cold the water for the white mastiha paste as you call it!!! I hope you really enjoyed them because as greek in the Uk i am jealous and hungry!!!
Nice video guys bravo I am from Greece 🇬🇷
The best honey from Greece is form island thasos and small villages ! We have the best snacks !🔥🇬🇷🇬🇷
Oh my God! My grandma always used to serve me this sweet on spoon in a glass of really cold water. It was always vanilla though because I didn't like the masticha flavour back then. It is called "ypovrichio" in Greek which literally means submarine.
you have to put and a little bit of honey inside of the mountain tee.its very good
"derby 'chocolate is an obsession!!😋(from a Greek)
like για το ονομα προφιλ!
The masticha you ate in the water is called "Υποβρύχιο"="Submarine"
Wow, THAT was a big wonderful box of goodies! So many things I'd love to try. Kate, I hope your shoulder starts feeling better soon.
This was a nice box! I've not heard of many of the items. It still fascinates me that chips and chocolates are such universal snacks. 😄
Really enjoyed this box ☺️ I know! Me too
Ελλάδα σε λατρεύω ♥️♥️🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

You made my day guys!!! You are so funny and willing to try different flavours and that's just so special!!! I have to mention one thing ,as i am greek, you must not use the same spoon you ate the jar sweets again in the jar because it will go bad really quickly...put it in a plate instead 😍 sorry for my English! Love you 😘😘😘😘🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

Ah no way! That's awesome 😀 Well you would absolutely love the Ouzo candies! Thank you for watching Klara! So pleased you enjoyed it ☺️
It was nice to see a box that's from a different country.
Yaay pleases you enjoyed this one Shelley ☺️
We grew up with these stuffs people! They are awesome!
I loved this one!
Yaaay so happy to hear this Sadie ☺️☺️
I am Greek and I love Caprice, Derby, chocofreta and of course the Chios Gum - Submarine! Enjoyed your video! 😊
You should really feel gratefull that box is so so much expensive for an offer!! Try frozen caprice!! Are delicious you cant try only one!!
Great box! So many out of my pallettes box of flavors!
So interesting isn't it! We loved getting to try all of these different flavours!
you should put the Caprice in the freezer, they have a hundred times better taste
You guys are great always enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much John! So lovely of you to say
Oh wow. This is the first time I ever commented on ANY video on UA-cam and the fact the you responded is fantastic. Thank you so much. 😄
In Romania we have halva made out of sunflower seeds. I personally only eat it when I don’t have any other snacks in my house 😄
Mmm interesting, I wonder if i would like that more!
Loved your video, as for the mastic the reason it's considered unique is that it only can be harvested from the mastic trees on the norther part of the Island of chios (attempts to plant the tree anywhere else only yielded a tasteless sap when they tried harvesting it).
As always, I really love your videos, blessings and greetings from Guatemala Central América
Thank you so much Denise ♥️♥️
@@ThisWithThem You are welcome 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Most of these snacks are part of greek children's childhood... A huge throwback, lots of memories...
