- The better way to jump start your vehicle. Using capacitors as opposed to a battery back-up.
Autowit SuperCap 2 Portable Car Jump Starter, 12V Super Capacitor Jump Starter (Up to 7.0L Gas, 4.0L Diesel Engine), Super Safe Battery-Less Jump Starter with Carrying Case and Quick Charge, Orange www.amazon.com...
I just ordered one (I used your link). I could have used one of these on Christmas Day last year. My car's battery died *and* my jump starter's battery died. We were leaving on a family road trip the next day. If I'd been able to start my car, we could have just gone to Costco, bought the new battery, installed it in the parking lot, returned the core, and hit the freeway from there. Instead, I had to take my wife's car to buy the battery, then come home to install it.
Great job Boston Joe,,,,,,,,Short & to the point. Gunna get one for sure. Thanks......Enjoy the Holidays 2022.
My order of this unit from Amazon will arrive tomorrow!! I’ve checked few YT video reviews about how it and it’s very satisfying to have for sure.
Thanks Joe. Great job. Good info. God bless. Happy trails.
Like another comment asked, what if your battery have 0 juice left for the autowit to draw from?
I order mine today from Amazon
It might not work on a Diesel engine. You have to let the glow plugs warm up first before starting the engine. I keep a battery type starter and an autowit super cap in my car.
Have you started any diesels with this?
Verry nise but two expensive
Nice !!!
What if your battery is completely dead
yes!!! I want to know too.
Time to flag someone down for some juice 😆
Yeah. If it happens you will need to find a person with a car that you can charge the capacitors with. I wouldn’t doubt that some newer version will allow you to charge them with your cell phone battery.
Out of all the times I’ve needed it, even when the lights in the car would not come on there was still enough juice to get it charged.
I have one, tried it fully charged on a fully dead battery and it didnt start the car
The battery is rarely completely dead as mentioned in the video. If you frequently leave the lights on and park it for a week though, you could carry a small sealed lead acid battery with the jump starter to use as a charging supply, which does it quickly compared to other methods like using a USB power bank, which takes way too long unless you just have no other alternative.
I can't keep the wretched thing clipped to my side post battery.
