Profoundly beautiful lyrics and tunes which have often brought me solace since I came to a seemingly far-away new world some years ago. But the loneliness and sadness I have experienced is nothing compared to what is recorded and expressed in this song. I thought of this song also just lately in relation to one of the Ukrainian refugees that my mother has taken into their home in Poland, who is being bullied and alienated in the school in their village - the rejection of the immigrant to increase the isolation that their heart is already flooded and drowning with.
There’s two songs that I play while getting ready for bed, this one another called Golden Embers by Mandolin Orange. The latter is here on YT in two videos, one is the original official video and the other is a studio-type setting. I’ve purchased both and listen to them on JetAudio app. I play all my music on it, because it has an EQ and other settings. It saves setting profiles automatically for each different BT device, including your vehicle. I detects the devices upon connecting and chooses the right one. Playlists created in Apple Music app show up there, along with others which are native. I’d also recommend Unchained Melody by Caroline Campbell feat. Chris Botti. Anyway, nite nite. 🤫✌🏻
