    Stuff we use:
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
    AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/425k5rG
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/3WEuz0k
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv

Am glad she said brand and audience and not changing your story but looking for where it fits 😊
Because as a writer I don't mind criticism but I still wanna write stories that are true to me.

I will absolutely give Shannan 100% of my attention anytime she's on this channel. Love seeing her -- she's knowledgeable and she's able to explain the complexities of the industry.

This was very useful. I love the people who lay it down directly with no spin or justifications, they just say "Hey, we chase trends, that's what we do. That's how we choose projects and if you look at our output, you can see tropes and themes." But she basically makes the whole studio thing fucking exhausting. I don't know if I want to tailor my creative focus on someone else's quarterly projections just for a paycheck. Sounds like the studios are where you go to pitch your own reject ideas based on which house likes the taste and let them run with it while you take home the sales price and (hopefully) a few points.

I knew PRECISELY what era of Syfy she was referring to (Eureka-ish) without her naming a show, which is exactly the kind of branding she’s talking about

Pedantic but, "The way words are pronounced is sometimes based on faulty reasoning. “Biopic” looks like it is in the same family as “myopic”, but it isn't. It's “bio” - for biographical - plus “pic” for picture.Mar 22, 2021"

Don't care. I'm still gonna say "by-op-ic." We say "by-OG-rah-fee" not "bio-grafee" so I'm keeping the "y" sound.

AI is a lot more effective at following and predicting trends and coming up with variations on sucessfull storylines that a network might want to duplicate. AI will also be better equiped to absorb and study all the script elements and transpose them to the new projects.

AI will be so darn good at tweaking our emotions, networks won't need writers/ actors/ marketing...okay. Is that your premise?
