Hey Thanks for coming by and the comments. . . I guess thats all perspective. Though i will say "destroy" is quite a strong word for altering a rim .lol I prefer a rimless tank myself so altering a rim is not really a big deal to me and I know many many people who altered their tank rims for their needs. its been done for decades. For ME, I dont see the inside rim and the alteration done in the video works really well and doesn't effect the structure of the tank nor the rim > is it unsightly - ehh maybe so i guess that kinda depends on the person's abilities to alter the rim. You could also make a 3d printed cap for the cuts if they bugged you that much to clean them up.. theres alot of ways to approach this. I dont personally feel like altering your rim is destroying your tank but I could see how some people would feel that way. Thanks for chiming in!
I would have 3d printed a new bracket instead of destroying my tank tough. A 3d printer is worth it any day
