Lets Fix a Stuck Boat Motor

(UPDATE: I worked on this with my Neighbor this evening and we got it started. Cleaning the points fixed the problems and it started right up.....)
I'm making this video about working on a project that was just sitting in my Mom's estate - a stuck boat motor. I had big plans for it, but it turned out to be way more challenging than I thought. First, I went searching for it and couldn't find it anywhere, besides thinking it was stored in the garage when it was actually in an outbuilding. When I finally got my hands on it, I realized it had been sitting there for 15 years or so, and the pistons were stuck tight like glue.
Again, I thought I could easily fix this motor since I wanted to learn how to do it, but boy was I
wrong! So I bought some new gaskets and supplies and got to work. First, I pulled out the spark plugs, and then put solvent in the cylinders - what's more, I let it sit for a couple of weeks to see if that would loosen things up.
But when I went back to check on it, I found that the starter rope was still stuck tight. And then I
realized maybe rescuing this stuck boat motor wasn't going to be as easy as I thought! I'll have to show you what happens next in my video - so be sure to watch until the end.
Equally important, I want to give a shout-out to all the DIY enthusiasts out there who are brave enough to take on big projects like this. Sometimes we get stuck (no pun intended!), but that's where the real learning begins! So stay tuned for more updates on my stuck boat motor saga.
