This ladies and gentlemen is how you do a tutorial. No annoying music in the background. To the point. Informative. Concise. Totally subscribing, thanks man!
I liked your video, because from your story you seem to started like me. Started in rock bands (in those days), played for years, recorded old school, but left that to the engineers. Then, I went to college/university, and didn't stayed in the business. I was really into recording/playing in bands around 15 - 21. At 40 I decided to start where I left. However, music production evolved so much, it became overwhelming for me. I bought stuff that I think maybe I bought wrong at first. An example, I bought Push 2 after reading maybe a few weeks about it (I used to have a DR-5 to play drums, strings, bass, etc along when I was jamming at home in those years), but I think I jumped too quick. So I read more, and decided to upgrade my ableton live intro to suite (oh before that I bought Logic Pro X), then I bought an impulse 49, and last I bought NI Komplete 12 Ultimate. Apart from that I have my guitars, amps, Fx, etc... but what gets me are all those software that get me confused and doesn't allow me to just be creative and record. Maybe I'm too old haha. Anyway, nice vid. I hope I figure out what I'm doing.
David, i Love the sound and power of massive! I use the lfo’s to have moving sounds. i hoped you would say something about the 4 triggers on the left in the macros.. also the tabs next to the osc tab.. 😛
David , maybe you can help on this 'off topic' question : how do you put multiple tracks simultaniously in a single group track ..? is that possible..? or you have to route every single track to the group ..? Thanks for all your advice . really appreciate it a lot!
I do that in the mixer. I highlight all the tracks I want to route, hit the 'Q-Link' button at the top and then route one of them to the group track and all the others route at the same time. Hope this helps!
YEES NICE! Cant you make a tutorial/Course on Reaktors 6 Form, Monark or Tips for razor? They all are so speciall but wierd and hard to understand (in my opinion).
Reaktor is WAYYY tougher than Massive in my opinion. It sounds awesome and I am trying to learn exactly what is going on in each module (Monark, Form, Prism, the Blocks (those are extra confusing)). I plan on hitting a lot of the Komplete stuff this year. I'll probably start with Massive, Kontakt and Battery and move to Reaktor, Absynth and then FM8 a bit later. So, yeah, stay tuned!
Monark is pretty easy to use, it is classic 3 Osc synth with VCA/VCF and it stands out for its natural sound, not for special controls. I myself figured out 80% of its functionality right away by just playing with it. Some special tweaks (like Load or Osc synth) I don't completely understand but I can easily use it without those.

love your enthusiasm :D
I've literally never even attempted to make a track without a nice massive bassline!
Can complete 11 work with Reasons? I'm dumb with this stuff so excuse me if I asked a dumb question.
If Reason can use VSTs then most likely yes
Do I need one of those keyboards that you have, to use massive on fl studio?
Skillz4Everything no
amaaaze
thx!

I should have included those triggers for sure! Good call. Maybe in a later video...
This was VERY Helpful --- Can you do a quick Tutorial in CUBASE with Native Instruments FM8
What do you use to connect keyboard to computer? What keyboard do you use?

You're dope! Thanks
Good intro, thanks!

Great video
Thanks for that. I've been tweaking presets in massive for a while. It's about time I started to create my own and now I feel I can :)
You're welcome! I'm sure you can. It's super fun!
