In this video we show you how to remove a diesel injector seal the easy way in modern diesel engines injector seals can be a nightmare to get out of there is loads of different ways and loads of different tools I'm showing you one way in this video especially when the injector seal is leaking and it all carbons up they can be very difficult to take out so we show you an easy way to remove the injector seal before cleaning and reinstalling everything
Just use a copper magnet. They're next to the tartan paint at the shop
Badgertronix I found my copper magnet in the long weight store. Took them ages to find it though.

Sky hooks are guite good too.
A round tapered file is all I've ever needed. One tap with a mallet, twist and tank. job done.
Used one of those slide hammers myself & got the job done! 👍
Thanks for the video. I used M6 Rod to remove copper washers. This can be another option for DIY guys.
Nice tool 👍 I usually get away with a flat screwdriver and a tap down and couple of turns and up it comes with the screwdriver 😀
I spent a lot of time fishing injector seals out of Hyundai Santa Fe engines, I always used a metal wire, like the ones used to weld with the oxyacetylene torch.

One of them things once you've used it you'll wonder how you live without it especially when you get a really bad seal

Sorted. Beats my 5mm taper tap welded to a t handle. Sometimes the seal just spins in the hole

Or you can get and unwanted big Phillips screwdriver and cut a threaded groove in it 🙂

hi mate I'm not 100% sure what you mean but a bad injector seal can cause a lot of problems the engine will not run properly the fuel will not burn properly in some cases the engine might not even start

if you ain't got the tool just use flat screw driver that just wide enough to go into copper washer hole slightly turn till it pushes on to washer hey presto its out
It all depends because most of the time I'm it blows out the centre of the copper washer and it misshapes it going other words the whole gets bigger than the whole inside the engine and it doesn't always work

I have a stuck injector seal at the mo,, Trouble is the washer hols is slightly bigger than the hole , so cant get a grip on washer,,fcukin nightmare
Hi mate one trick I've used in the past you can soak it in brake fluid or WD40 make sure the piston is at top dead centre make sure you have cleaned down into the engine bay as best you can try and loosen up and then get some compressed air that also works

Not when the centre the whole gets misshapen because the centre of the washer becomes bigger than the whole inside the engine block to a flat blade screwdriver will not work

absolutely not like I explaining the video once the centre is misshapen and injector removal seal tool will not work like I have shown in this video and lots more videos so it's absolutely not obvious at all
