- What a day of ice breaking, paddling, skating and the sun. Absolutely fantastic to be able to go paddle boarding, kayaking in the river and even ice skating on the lake, all on the same day. I hope to inspire you to get out and do something outdoors yourself, maybe not like I do. Be careful doing as I do. You need a lot of knowledge about ice and currents otherwise this can be dangerous. Paddle boards are great ice breakers and breaking ice is fun but can damage your board.

Wow! That is a lot of preparation to go paddling! Two hours of ice breaking is dedication but at least you had fun. It is still hot and humid in Sydney and the water temperature is well over 20 degrees C. I have had another surgery this week and have another one to go, so I am still not out in my kayak or learning to SUP. I have to be patient but the Autumn weather should be perfect. Thank you for your weekly VLOG. I enjoy them every week.
No we don't have a term like "Down Under" for Sweden. We all think of ABBA when we think of Sweden. Apparently they were more popular in Australia than in any other country. Such a long time ago now.

Yes😂 hard to get up on the ice with kayak and get pressure in the same way and so easy like I do it with the sup.🙌
You are both so lucky to live so close to water and have daily paddles. I've got to get in a car 😞 Is that your own jetty or can everybody that lives there use it? Ice breaking looks fun, but I be sitting down doing it, as I don't trust myself stood up. You look like a fighter pilot in your ice skating gear 🙂
Yes, very lucky, took some years before we started to use the river. We are almost the only one that does it. If I should take the car, it will be less paddling, that´s for sure, but when we was boating we did it a lot even though we had to take the car to the boat. But not as often as we paddle.
It´s fun to break ice, I like it a lot, because I break ice and don´t think of nothing else.
It´s out jetty but everyone can use it, that´s Sweden and I like that it´s like that.🙌
I guess it´s the helmet, really good to have the visor because we have glasses.🤗
