Like many people I've been a doubter since the NIU game. This game actually convinced me that ND 2024 is a very, very good team bordering on great. For the first time the offense looked every bit as good as the defense. The only thing holding them back right now is the kicking game. USC is going to be a tough one, but this team actually looks up to the task. From the top down there's a belief and a confidence I haven't seen in a long time.
The way this season has gone reminds me of ND's 1977 championship season in that ND lost an early game they should have won (in 1977 it was to an unranked Ole Miss) and then just got better throughout the season and won out (assuming a win at USC). Of course, this year's team doesn't have Joe Montana at QB, but this year's team is fasters and more athletic. But the 1977 Irish were a talented team that sent many players on to the NFL.
This team is really good and getting better and better. I do think for the 1st time since 1993 NotreDame this year can go toe to toe with anyone in the country. Ohio State, Oregon, Texas and Georgia are very good but I think NotreDame is very capable of beating any of them.
Penalties and FG Kicking will catch up eventually. Hopefully we can figure that out b/c everything else about this program is top notch right now. Love to see it. Hope Freeman stays
If you watched the UCLA and USC game i would believe that usc does not have the defense to stop ND,and i think NDs defense is playing lights out right now,im not sure ND and the USC game is going to be close, how much more can USC improve in 1 week, just dont think USC is that good

I haven't seen depth and ability to step up after critical injuries since the Holtz era. This is a well developed and coached team.
Love The Rammones
I do like the Ramones, but do NOT like waiting until Tuesday for Football Never Sleeps!

And after a fourth down stop by the Irish defense, the PA could play a quick clip from the Ramones, "1,2,3,4!"
Both lines on ND dictated the game. They are playing better as the season progresses.

I would approach anything inside the 45 as four down territory in my play calling. I wouldn't start thinking FG until the 25.
Maybe the 15!!
I want to be sedated!
