Dewey's death is really hard to watch it's very difficult to imagine scream without Dewey. What a Legend R.I.P

It broke my heart i haven’t cried that hard in years, I left 5 out of my scream marathon the other week so that he could end on a happy note still married & still alive. I couldn’t bring myself to watch 5 after seeing him survive all day for 4 movies 😂😬

gay fact: amber and tara were girlfriends/ex-girlfriends in the original script. you can actually see hints of what was left of that dynamic in the finished film. like how the text msgs were originally flirty. and how tara was so willing to go to amber's house to save her when ghostface "threatened" to kill amber at the beginning. and how she had an extra inhaler at amber's house. personally thought that they should've stayed girlfriends, would've been a win for the gays and also a better motive or had a better impact in addition to the obsession amber had with stu's house.
imo I think mikey still played amber slightly from that angle... I kind of got ~fruity vibes from her
I didn't even realize jenna's friend at the beginning was amber, so imo they should have made her a completely different girl who was killed at the beginning, and she would have been jenna's girlfriend. They would have buried a gay but that's better than no gays at all.
I've heard mindy will have a girlfriend in 6, they could still pull something similar 🤔

I had one of the greatest movie theatre experiences of my life. There was a group of women behind me who thought they were at a remake (I think) because when Judy Hicks showed up I heard them say “hang on wasn’t she in scream 4?”. Then when we start seeing more old faces and references I hear “ITS A SEQUEL!”. Then David Arquette shows up and they were squealing. It was such a nice experience to hear people in a movie theatre excited and for it not to be a massive studio tent pole with everyone cheering but just a Saturday matinee with 14 people in. After all the terribleness of the pandemic it’s nice to hear people enjoying a film.
I love that so much, I’m telling you there’s nothing like a fun (not annoying) crowd that enjoying what’s on the screen

While I really enjoyed the film that enhanced it so much to just think about how surprised they must have been when various things happened. It’s why the group experience in watching live music, theatre, sports and film is so important to our culture. During the pandemic and lockdowns I found your channel because I liked watching reaction videos because I missed that experience (it was the knives out video).

Judy’s death kinda hit harder than other kills in this movie in my opinion because she died trying to save her kid. Unlike Teras mom in London this whole time

If something happens to her in any future film of this franchise, we march at dawn! But damn, this film really stepped up in its gore, insane! I'm still deciding my ranking too. I thiiiiink I'll go Scream, Scream 3, Scream 2, Scream 4 and then 5. This film was great, and I don't dislike any of them, but it didn't really rise up much in ranking for me.

Also Sam getting the hint for the knife from Billy is such an underrated scene, because she was struggling the whole film with the shame and guilt of who her father was and she finally accepted her past and that’s how she managed to fight back. She and Tara are my fave girlies
My hope for Scream 6 is that we get someone who knows their trivia and gets all the questions right, actual chase scenes, and a reveal that isn't as predictable

I was expecting it to be revealed that Stu was Amber's dad, relative, or mentor. The actor even said he would LOVE to come back. I'd like to think he's been in a mental asylum all these years, and they'll bring him back for the next one.

@@yasmineguerin2852 Don't worry, it WAS heavily implied, with the TV falling on him and never being mentioned again. But he was actually supposed to live and be the star of I think the second Scream, but some school shooting happened that made them nix that idea. But the actor is hopeful that Stu is still alive and will be back. So there's a chance. That's why I say I imagine he's just been in a psychiatric hospital for all these years, and they'll probably get in contact with him because they'll need to get into the mind of a Scream killer to solve the next series of killings. Then the mystery will be whether or not he's really changed or is still a madman.

My new favorite in the series. Love the small, quick easter egg that shows Kirby is still alive from Scream 4. Mindy is the absolute best new character in the series IMO. Tied with Kirby as my fave in the series. Dewey's demise was sad, but I understood it. And it was done amazingly. Legend. Nice to Sid married Mark from Scream 3. And I seriously appreciate the relationship between Sid and Gale. They've come a long way.

Amber's reveal is probably one of the best ones in the series, outside the first film. It was just completely unexpected and people in the theatre were all gagged she just up and did that.

Hey Sidney! Lol Tara is who we assumed Casey Becker would be when scream was first released. Tara went above and beyond. Tara was Dewey legit it just hit me she’s the new Dewey just went through 5 movies worth of ass kicking in one movie. I loved it I loved it I loved it. I was entertained from beginning to end and the gays lived the Hispanics and black people lived like yes ty!! Plus instead of a girl dying in a shower soaping up (Sydney voice it’s insulting ) it was the guy and even then it took so long for his death my anxiety was high until finally I was lolled into a false sense of security and then bam! Also I love your outfit gorgeous Gale would be proud
to me, the killers were the most predictable in this movie than any other one. And especially after 4, where Jill was such a huge plot twist, that was disappointing to me.
also that third act was just sloppy. Like, Gale & Sydney are both stabbed/shot but then just chilling out in an ambulance?
And Dewey's death.... don't get me started. He forgets to headshot them, and then as he's about to he stops BECAUSE HIS PHONE RINGS? Like that writing was sloppyyyy. It would've been so much more interesting if Dewey was the first character in the Scream franchise where both killers teamed up to kill one person. That would've been "an honor" to his character imo. BUT i digress
never really saw the appeal of reaction videos, before this channel. "fix it, jesus!" is now in my vocab
If they ever kill Gale in a future movie, I'm really gonna be tempted to walk out of the theater at that point. Gale Weather's is awesome! #TeamGale

i couldn’t see scream in theatres… not because anyone stopped me but because i’m mentally ill and didn’t wanna leave the house 😍 so i waited until it came out in HD and by then i knew 99% of the spoilers 😭 i tried so hard to avoid them but they were absolutely everywhere and let me tell you… dewey’s death destroyed me, i knew so i wasn’t shocked when i saw it and i just sobbed for about an hour.
Honeyyyyyy I’m telling you those spoilers were EVERYWHERE!!! I remember the day it came out there were already spoilers even on UA-cam with the people that get killed to who ghostface is, and I had get off social media just so I wouldn’t get my ass spoiled 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
When I watched this the first time I was so proud of myself for clocking Amber as the killer straight away but then rage screaming when Ritchie was the second killer🤦🏻♀️ it was a I WAS ROUTING FOR YOU, WE WERE ALL ROUTING FOR YOU moment😩😂

As much as it saddens me that Dewey was killed. It was kind of poetic for him though he died saving Sams little sister where he wasn't able to save Tatum. Also it makes since for Dewey to be the first legacy character to die out of the three. It gave us a chance to continue watching the Gale/Sidney arc. Dewey's death brought them together and to work as a actual team. Their relationship has grown a lot since the first Scream. Sidney/Dewey always had that Brother/sister relationship and Dewey/Gale always had the on and off again relationship. But Sidney and Gale were never close they always had Dewey has the middle person. With Dewey being gone it gives them that chance.
For those who don't believe that Amber could kill Dewey because of being a girl and due to her size.
Dewey was doing good with hand on hand contact. Then he went back and got distracted by his phone ringing. That's the only reason Amber was able to get the upper hand cause he was off guarded. Also don't forget Dewey has nerve damage/limp, in his 50's, is a drinker now, hasn't stayed active at all and depression. He wasnt exactly in a good mental state at all. He knew he wouldn't be able to handle it this time around and wasn't going to but after talking with Sidney he changed his mind and tried to help. Also the way ghostface was with Sam on the phone trying to make her choose between Tara and Ritchie that's something Amber would do. It was her way of proving that Sam was "selfish" and doesn't care about her sister.

The way I cried like miss gale when I watched Dewey's death. That guy who had an existential crisis? Yeah... He's my soul brother.
Can’t wait to see this! *Spoiler alert* for those who haven’t seen the movie and watching this first time
Dewey’s death scene really got to me hard. I love Gale and Sid a lot but Dewey was the middle piece that made the trio stronger. Plus as a character that I lived with since I first watched Scream back 15-16 years ago, seeing someone I’ve been attached to for so long… nope did not like it.
But to be fair as far as killing legacy characters it was a brutal but rememberable send off.
They say in the scene where the boyfriend is watching the UA-cam videos, there's a small Easter egg that shows Kirby from scream 4 survived
