Hi Miss Tina, your traditional Bajan recipes are a God-send. I tried your banana bread one and it was lovely. I look forward to trying this wholewheat sweetbread recipe. Keep up the great work!

Wonderful! Thank you for watching and giving the recipes a try. This sweetbread I forgot to mention the sugar amount. The recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar, but I use 1 cup to cut back on the sweet. Happy baking.

Hi Tina, I just watched your video of the whole wheat bread. I love the method you used by only using your kitchenaid, instead of the old time method. I will definitely try the method you use. Thank you. Your bread looked very delicious 😋

Hi Tinaraine, seasons greetings to you and your lovely family I love watching you cooking/baking makes me happy, just want to say I grater my coconuts using a gloves that avoid the nails in the mixture, if you were close by I would donate a bigger mixture to you lol,
I'm going to make my sweet bead using your recipe and techniques, thank you and keep smiling.👌

Hello Allison, Season's greetings to you and your family as well! I enjoy creating all of Barbados traditional dishes, knowing there's people who enjoy watching, means more than I can explain. Using a glove while gartering is a great idea, I tend to lose a lot of nails and skin while doing that. I have a food processes that graters for me, I love it but the fact that I find the coconut already grater is even better. If I was closer I would except the bigger mixture the one I have was gift from my husband but I definingly have to get a larger one. I hope you enjoy the sweetbread recipe. Thanks for watching and have great evening.

bread but I forgot about my coconut until it was to late that's why I didn't put it in. Thank you for giving the recipe a try and you have a fantastic rest of the week

Hi Marva, thank you for asking, I am doing wonderful just getting ready for the holiday. Gartering is not something I like doing, that's why I was so excited when I found grated coconut in the supermarket freezer. I appreciate you watching the video and I wish you and your family a very happy and healthy holiday.

Hello Tina!! I just had to watch your video before going to bed; this process is really taking a little Christmas out of my Christmas if you know what I mean but anyway, lets talk about your bread, lol. It looks so good and I know it taste delicious too!! Plus I can smell it from here, I love that you only use one cup of sugar and the coconut oil 👍🏽 If I can find the time to make some I will be mixing the whole wheat flour with some almond flour, that would be even healthier. One suggestion though, I think using the dough hook would give the bread a better texture because the dough hook is for kneading bread, just my opinion. You make me want to make it Tina. Forgive me for coming by so late but I have not been on UA-cam for a couple days, will definitely let you know if I make it; the process here might slow down a little bit for Christmas, I am hoping but right now the traffic is busy. Enjoy your sweetbread my Friend. I was just talking to one of my cousins in Barbados and she was showing off her new curtains, lol, yes, like the Bajans would say, they are fussy, heeheeeeeee!!!!! Xo

Hi Paulette, good morning ☀️ Watching my video before going to bed is like having a cup of tea before you go to sleep. Christmas is a time to enjoy don’t let that process take your joy away. I will consider using the dough hook next time, thanks for the suggestion. You should go ahead and make yourself some sweet bread it goes well with breakfast in the morning. Thanks for watching and have a fantastic day.

$75 not bad, a couple years ago when my mom was still here she would tell me she paid $90 sometimes $100. The ones here are expensive if you double the price it comes to almost the same thing you would pay there. Is it hard coming back after being there on vacation? Hopefully I get to go soon. You are bless your aunty loaded you down, now you don't have to bake for the holidays you have it all. I wish you a very happy holiday.
