Thanks Mike ,,, I’m two years in and I love your vids,,, there are thousands of demos out there and I always come back to you ! Cool, friendly , easy to follow ,,, thank you 🙏🏻
Hi. Started playing drums in Sept last year just before my 62nd birthday in November. Find your instructions great and broken down so that old buggers like me can understand. Not studied music before so everything from scratch. All a bit difficult now as suffered a stroke in December and still off work with what they call Functional Neurological Syndrome. My coordination leaves a lot to be desired but I am persevering with the drumming as I really enjoy it and am sure it will help in the long turn so gradually working through your videos albeit very slowly. You are keeping me going mate so thank you. Cheers
Loving the new series Mike! Refreshing to see an easier shuffle lesson. As great as Picaro shuffle and the lessons for them are, they’re dam difficult.
I noticed in your videos that your kits have changed over the years. What are you currently using? I have an Alesis Command as have to have electronic however not sure if they are as responsive as they could be so may look to be changing in near future. Cheers
For acoustic kit, earlier videos I’m playing a Yamaha Recording Custom from the 1980s. In more recent videos I’m playing a beautiful custom-made kit from The Cambridge Drum Company. When I’m away from the studio, like in the current lockdown, I’m playing my electronic kit as home (as in this video). Details as follows...
