    I just got my Cruiser today, and the breaks are scraping up against the disc. I watched this video, and have been at this loosening and tightening now for 1 hour.
    A tip to anyone struggling like me. There is a MUCH easier way. Loosen them like they show here, but then simply hold down the break and it will squeeze hold of the disc and center them. Keep holding the breaks tightly, and tighten the screws.

    >REALLY< loving having to adjust the brakes right when I get it, brand new...oh and the cover is in the way and guess what, no room w the multitool to undo it...wow!

  • @R-G

    The tensioning/adjustment at 3:40 is executed much easier (at least for the back break) by slightly pulling the break arm to the left so that the screw can be tightened further up on the wire.

    I got a question. You did a great job explaining how to adjust the brakes. I've done everything you have done and still cant get it to stop. It squeezes but doesn't stop. My problem lies in the rear brake. I have an extra rotor. Replacing the rear rotor, will that work? If so how would I replace it with the wire going into the motor? My front brake works fine , if I have to stop quickly tho I'm afraid I will be thrown over the handlebars! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have the emove cruiser!

      So you've tightened the brakes in all they ways that I've shown in this video, but still cant get the scooter to lock up huh? It's possible that your brake pads need replaced if you've had your scooter for a long enough time and put them into enough wear. - AJ

    6:45 My problem is when i try pulling the cable tighter on the rear arm by loosening the anchor screw and yanking the cable tighter with my hand it literally does not budge further. I've also tried 2 different pliers and no dice! Any trick for this? I've already fully loosened both barrel connectors to give the cable as much slack as possible first.

      it's probably something messed up with your e-brake. the e-brake is the additional cable coming from the brake lever. If you simply unplug it at the handlebar, your motor should work fine. Then you'll have to figure out the e-brake -- bec there's no documentation on it and nobody at voro seems to know what it is or how to fix it. If you figure it out, let me know!!

    They need to put a rear disc brake on the Touring, This is a clear design flaw, Took all of 15 mins for my cable to jump out the housing on my 2020 Touring while travelling at top speed, Had no option but to jump off as the electric brake is useless at top speed (i have the electric brake at 2 on P settings) I've since tightened the screw and all appears ok but i simply have very little confidence in the braking and therefore travel way slower than the top speed to give myself a chance if it fails again, Pointless having a scooter than can go 24MPH if you only feel comfortable going 14-15MPH as the braking can't be trusted yet,! This is clearly not a one off instance.

    • @ohfuku
      @ohfuku 4 роки тому +2

      See my vids .. same issue ...
      I think its also a design flaw, but maybe a fixable one ... Im think of using glue but would rather find a metal sleeve that I can crimp into place ..
      Imo it would be a shame to see this scooter go back, everything else on it is so nice ... Im a little like you now ... I do still go full speed when I can see open space, but as soon as im in a reasonably busy area or I cant see the path forwards clearly, most the time I just jump off it n walk it till I can, which defeats the purpose of owning one :(
      The thing that's annoying me a little is that non of the reviews I watched about this scooter ever mentioned this problem ... are they riding over glass or something, surely someone must have come across this issue in testing somewhere if they were going off curbs? I cant accept that its only becoming apparent now, did Voro motors change this setup during its 2020 update after those reviews were made?
      I think the drum brake will do for the touring, when it works it works well and stop me fast .. but they need to change the brake housing setup and at least send out a fix to all of us owners that have this current issue - Preferably fast ;D

      Have the same issue first few rides all I did was stop to put the line back into groove my god it's annoying! I did zip tie the line to the spare hole on the swing arm , I found it better in terms of I didn't have to stop as much but it's not a reliable fix long term. Here in the u.k every path/road is bumpy so having these 8" tyres with this drum brake isn't really adequate. Do they even test this? Apart from this issue (pretty big) I love it.

    • @ohfuku
      @ohfuku 4 роки тому

      @@thew4rrior5code I think the 8" tyres are fine, its just the gap at the top of the break cable housing that it the issue .. if there was no hole, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Looking at the very basic setup in order to feed the brake line in, I cannot understand why they went for this setup and didn't just have a closed hole that u feed the wire thru?
      @ 7:58 in this vid they discuss that a Touring was sent back to them as the brake line had popped out of the housing and how to fix it ... It does not show a fix?? it shows you how to set it back up "after" its failed :/ ( Sorry AJ I know ure only trying to help ) but what good is that if Ive ploughed into a back of a car at 20mph because the cable has popped out :|
      I`d like to know what I can do to fix this issue & fast ... I have 5 days from this date to return this to Beyond Electric and to ask for a refund of Voro Motors cannot come up with something to fix the break cable within the housing and stay there like its ment to so that I can rely on the most important basic safety feature - Brakes.
      As said before Im willing to do a patch/work-around/fix but would prefer the peeps @ Voro motors to suggest what to do. Ive sent an e-mail and posted these vids, lets hope they recognize this is a massive issue & get on to it fast

    Brake installation took 15 minutes. This took 4 hours. Every time i tighten the bolts it grinds. Got it to a point where the grinding is not that bad and I'm going with it...the alternative is to throw the scooter in the garbage. Whoever designed this should be flogged....way too much maintenance

    I cant believe you knew about this problem and kept it in after your refresh im so disappointed this is NOT a good customer experience these need to be tuned out of the factory! The average consumer isnt going to care or understand and its caused many owners to have accidents. How can you show your face to your customers when you have a major safty issue that could simply be engineered out of existence. I like the scooter but ill never recommend you to a friend again. The screw needs to have a nylon lock i don’t understand why you think a bare metal screw wont vibrate off like mine did the first hour of riding! The cable needs a ziptie or some fitting to keep the cable in place no matter what. I thought you guys had common sense but i see a lack of understanding and that sucks. Im super pissed and disappointed
