I’ve been looking everywhere for a lao restaurant in orlando. Saving lives one vid at a time
Thanks for showing so many dishes. I'm coming back to Sticky Rice and trying them all!
We need more Laos Food!!!! Keep the culture alive
Thank you for doing this search for authentic Laos food. Im always in search of good papaya salad and laab. Was in the orlando area a year ago but regret not stopping by sticky rice.
Will stop by the next time I pass by Orlando. This is how it oughta be authentic Lao.
Im glad you posted this I have been looking for some good homemade restaurants in Orlando
Is that your mom that says “yummy yummy yummy?” So cute! Glad ur back to posting!
I reallllly love how everything’s so cheap too thats so cool
I am drooling already just watching you eat!
Julie Yang how much you charge?
Lao food always fills you up!! Thanks for sharing!! Definitely needs to check it out!! 😋😋
Here in Seminole Florida, we are getting a Laotian Restaurant. I can't wait.
Foood looks great!! I sent this video to a guy that wanted to know what Lao food looked like
You are right bro. Lao restaurant is lao resturant. Not thai, these lao restaurants don't need to hide behind thai restaurant's name. Glad you are not afraid of naming lao resturant, not lao/thai. Lao food sell as the same as thai food name or sell even better than thai food. There are more lao people in the US than thai people anyway.
when you open a restaurant your suppose to please the majority which are the Americans. doesn't have anything to do with more lao or thai. having more people don't mean u will sell well if americans don't find it pleasing. and there are more hmong in the usa than lao. lao numbers around 200,000 lao in the usa. and 239,942 thais in the usa 80,000 thai alone live in L.A. so your number isn't correct thai lao number are about the same. hmong number are about 260,000 that's more than thai and lao. lao mainly came from refugee thai came since the 1800th to present day by marriage or business.and I haven't seen lao person opening a restaurant and hiding behind a thai name. but I do see a lot of thai writing in a lao temple and restaurant for some odd reason.
WELL SAID!!
That because Thailand has no war but we are growing country
Son Sou you are so rights, I wanted my self for years I was born in udon,Thani, Lao should stand strong,
Thanks for post ing this,
Am proudly to be Laos, from Canada,
I’ve never tried Laotian food before. It looks good! I’ve always wanted to try different international foods that I have never tried in my life! I am proud to say that I am an adventurous eater! ☺️
Definitely gonna have to go there when I go to Orlando in March. I love jail bhong! OMG!!! You are making me so hungry right now!
I'm Watching from lao🇱🇦😃 thank you very much for share this video i like it.
Behind all the delicious food is a political movement. And I love it. I'm tired of living in the shadow of Thai. Used to think it was cool af to ride on their coattails. Then I realized they should be praising us Lao people or at least treat us like we're their equal. Their language derived from ours. They're taking credit for certain things we invented such as morlum and thum muk hoong. The avg Thai will tell you papaya salad was invented by Isan aka Thai people. Don't get me wrong, I have family members who are Thai therefore I have plenty of respect for them. I just feel Lao has a voice. And it needs to be heard.
wtf are you 2 blabbing about. 1st all ayudtaya was a mon kingdom then invaded by the Khmer then the tai lao tribe came in and mix with the mon Khmer. that's why CENTRAL thai language is a mix of tai mon Khmer and even some burman and malayu that's why some words thai use laos doesn't have. sotp taking all credit like you created Thailand by yourself. thai say thong kham kham is lao thong is Khmer but thais use thong for short slang. and isna did not create papaya salad it was actually the mon and kao boon or khanom jeen also wasn't created by lao or thai again it was created by the mon. yall talking out of pride not actual facts. I am neither lao or thai but I love south east Asian history I study this shit. and suphannapun is an indian language that's what india call south east asia.so suphannapun actually means south east asia. and I never heard of a thai king being lao. chakri dynasty today in Thailand bloodline is actually PERSIAN CHINESE and thai from central Thailand has no lao in them. if you are talking about uthong the creator of ayudtaya you might have a case but even him his history is alittle shady. the Khmer claim he is mon who rebel against the Khmer rule to create aydutaya which was an old mon kingdom call DARAVATI the Khmer destroy 100yrs before that.so basically the real central thais not counting the lao that live there. the real one are mon tirbes not lao. central thai dance custom and classical music are the same as the mon even the thai women clothes in central Thailand are the same as the mon not lao. isan is more lao then central Thailand. go learn some more history enough with that pride bias crap. and no oen ask you to live behind thai shadow u do it on your own. even the Khmer don't live behind thai shadow they promote their own shit.
not everyone is lao there are viet khmer cham mon kha sui there as well/
if you test more to be viet then lao that is no surprise veit who came into laos and claim to be laos since the beginning of the lan xang era. there are lao in laos today who think they are lao but are really viet because their grandma grandpa move there. in today laos there are more viet than lao if u go up north there are more chinese than lao and they teach chinese language before laos. laos will soon be forgotten. it will be just another country that use to be a country.
your leaders cant get their head out of their ass and allow others to step all over lao people. and not all lao wanted the thais out there were 3 fraction of lao group who wanted 3 different thing. northern laos led by luang prabang was pro siam. vientiane was pro vietnam champassak was pro french. the pro french won because vietnam was taken over by france itself. and the lao who cheered the french found out what the french were like. they use lao as slaves ten times worst then under siam. and allow the vietnamese to have more power and rights then lao people. like the old saying dont wish for something u dont understand.
2nd the lao only fought along side the vietnamese because they thought they would gain their independent from the french. again they got used. after france left laos was independent for only about 3 years until civil war broke out between REAL LAO and fake vietnamese lao led by a fake prince mix half bred vietnamese guy name Souphanouvong. who back stab his own royal family his half brother souvanaphouma.
laos is to small of a country and land lock to have any real power. thats just the way the world works. without ocean no country will ever rise to be powerful. yes laos use to be powerful that was before ocean access ment anything. after the european started sailing around the world and trading thats when laos fell as a power in south east asia. they had no connection to the sea. notice 1353 to 1500th was when laos lan xang had any true power around the region? in 1500th when the european reach burma thailand and indonesia and sold weapons and goods to them. thats when laos was no match for burma or thailand since.
even today laos has to use vietnam port to export and import sometime thailand port. they will always be a little brother to vietnam and thailand its just the way it is. unless some how which it will never happen. they inavde and conquer vietnam or thailand to get sea access. laos is like mongolia use to be powerful during the time access to the sea and real trade wasnt a thing. now both are small and land lock and has no power because they lack ocean water to sell and trade.
vanessd you sound like a black person crying victim hood. i don t need to put anything down. you need stop crying and actually make your life better its 2018 move on. you act like lao people are the only people who went through war and slavery. everyone is a minority in the usa if you're not white. but i dont see any one crying about unfair life but you and black people and mexicans. let me guess you are a democrat voter?

Nice Vid Dude!!!!!!😃😃😃😁😁
I was just talking about going to Orlando for the first time in December during the Winter Break. So gotta stop by there! With 15 items on the menu at $5 = $75 + the extra cents for the kao piak & taxes, let’s say = $100, but haven’t included the tips and the drinks yet! I’m down 😅 save us a table!
Damn I need that. Haven’t honestly had good Lao food since I left home unless it’s New Years at the wat
I lived on Orlando and never knew there was a Lao restaurant 😯
Laos food is better than Thai. No good restaurants in Vegas, so I have to make myself. All that food looks delicious. 🤣Sap,Sap
Now I’m gonna have to make some papaya salad. 😍
I am thai and I disagree with you
Yeah that's not true...go eat at a Thai home. We aren't making 80%of the things found at the Thai restaurants. The stuff we make at home is so much better. I'm part Thai and Lao and I've had great food in from both sides. The only thing is REAL Lao food has a shit load of msg which too much can be overpowering. The many times I've heard that the food wasn't "Nua" enough lol
Michelle Batzel That’s right better than Thai food
i love your video!
I'm Khmer and must say, that looks delicious
Most of the Thai restaurants are actually owned by Lao people. It doesn't matter what state you're in. Awesome that you're looking for only Lao foods!

Your lao pronunciations are way different from mine. i know different areas have different ways of saying words, just mostly heard everyone in my city say it the things the same way
Sometimes I wonder if he is purposely exaggerating his tones on purpose. Very annoying.
