Matthew, appreciate your video on the z50. Adding a comment about removing the phillips headed screws which you are probably already aware of. I am 56 and as hard to believe as I find it I recently learned a very effective method for removing these screws. The method is simple. Instead of trying to loosen these screws it is better to first crack them by trying to tighten them. This works in a very high percentage of cases. Usually the screw head is somewhat striped in the direction of removal but seldom are they striped in the direction of tighten. Tighten them just a bit and then loosen. Thanks again, John
Hi John, on those screws, I use a JIS #3 driver. They are not phillips and will strip easier. I use a impact or vessel drivers that have an impact built in. The vessels work on all but the stubborn ones. Here is a link to the vessel: amzn.to/2gXIhYg

will this video be pretty much the same for a xr70R?
Yes.
The XR50 and 70 are very similar, The main difference is the crank is slightly beefier, And the top end.
I have a question i have a honda dax like 1month ago it started really good now adays i need to pu him in semi 2 and run untill he starts...
What is semi 2???
Just a semiautomatic i need to put him in fitess 2 and run with it until it starts man so anoying before i just hit once my electricstart and it started.
@@georgethejungleboy186 So it won't start by hitting the button, however you can jump start it? Does it run good once started?
When it starts he does need to get warm else he just stops running so what i always do give alot of gass untill he gets warm then when i ride on it and i give max gas it like fires back so it goes from 45 tot 40 rlly anoying.

Is the full length video an online video or an actual DVD. If it's online and I purchase it on my laptop can I also watch it on the computer I have set up in the garage? Look forward to seeing all the details!
It is a video that you stream instantly. It's yours forever with unlimited views. You will need internet connection to view it. Think of it like a youtube video with a log in. Let me know if you have any other questions.
good videos man...have you ever done any porting? i see alot of porting videos around, but noticed you don't have any
No, never attempted any porting. Maybe in the future. Thanks for the compliments.
How does buying the full video work? Im interested in it...is it a download or mailed to me on a dvd? And if it is a download is there a limit on how many times you can watch it?

Nikon D3200 & Tascam DR-05. Also started editing in Adobe Premiere Elements. All this is new to me so it is a bit of a learning curve. BTW, I was using a Flip Ultra HD and windows movie maker for the past 3 years.
I'll post a video soon on the new equipment.

Great vid man . Hey I have a question for all. I have an 82 z50r and engine shop told me the valves are shot ( the carb blows out for the 5 seconds we can get it to run)
Does anyone have any experience with those eBay Chinese complete heads ? I can't find an oem head . Any experience out there with those ?
Why don't you do a compression leak down test to see what the issue is? A valve job should not cost that much.
@@HTMR
The shop did that but I do not the results so idk . I will check into that bud thanks again .
It just odd cuz it runs fine for 5-10 seconds then just dies every time . I initially thought it was carb problems but when it's running there is air pushing OUT of the carb
@@xxDONMEGAxx Make sure the valves are adjusted properly.
@@HTMR So I was getting ready to remove the head , I had the exhaust off the head . Figured I would give it a shot to fire it up..... It purred like a kitten , so somehow the muffler was clogged that wouldn't allow it to run for more than a few seconds before .
Thanks for the vid and advice , really helped me out
You kick ass!
Do you yourself ride this bike?
+Atv Rider Yes. I'm 5'11" 170lbs and can also fit one of my kids on it a well.
The Motion Pro 08-0015 is the WRONG tool for the 1968 - 1975 Honda Z50. The correct tool measures 20mm in between the prongs of the socket.
Do you happen to have that PN for the correct tool? I have a '74, thanks!
Motion Pro 08-0385. I used this on my 1973 Z50 without issue.
Cool
That looks like a lifan 125cc
Is Japanese and Chinese math different?
Engine is OEM Honda.

Do you show up to work for free?
The bike is also known as Honda Monkey
