Aayla is better than Maul for many reasons. She is equally fast, if not faster, with lots of endurance. Her attacks seem to do more damage, especially her sprint attacks which can 1-hit kill just about anyone, even heroes. Play heroes vs. villains with both of them and you'll find yourself spending much more time on each enemy with Maul, whereas Aayla can quickly take out one after another. And force pull is way more effective than force push. As if her speed wasn't enough, you can just pull enemies towards you and combo that into an attack. You can even pull Jango, Boba, or anyone with a jetpack right out of the sky. Lastly, in addition to doing lots of damage, her combo also makes her harder to hit when she's hopping around (like Yoda, but with way more attack range).
This ranking is based on conquest not hero assault but I agree but her not being on as many maps makes maul better he's on like every other map it feels like
Thing about darth maul is, if you time the attack perfectly after his final strike, he does an extra attack. He does this thing with his saber and pulls it back around him. It’s awesome. Only hero can do that atm.

@@brudbrud9137it's because the three maps she pops up in, she is not the most ideal choose. Tantive IV, and Polis Massa are both tight corridors that don't allow her abilities to flourish. Invisibility is great on those maps but her weapon prevents her from being useful when it comes to pushing for cp and one gernade will still reak havoc on your team. The last map Naboo, she is incredibly good, because the map overall focus is defending the cp you have over pushing for the other with the exception of cp 4 which is always being fought over. But because of the glitch in naboo, most people will never realize how good she is. You are either facing no one, or your team is all trying to live in that one spot of naboo. She is very good at defending her cps, but because of map design, and a glitch, she is often seen as the weakest hero

Following your list, I will critique my views on the characters: Chewbacca is terrible because of the fact you have to charge up for a good 2-3 seconds to fire a single bolt from his Bowcaster, which your target is likely to strafe anyhow. This is also why I don't often play as the Wookiee Warrior, same issue, but he at least has the Grenade Launcher. Regarding Chewie, you're almost better off standing next to Lord Gonk and spamming Rockets. Boba Fett: I 100% disagree with the fact you put him below the likes of Princess Leia, and to me, he is the best of all blaster Heroes. Sure he runs out of ammo quickly and can get overrun but he's still objectively good. Princess Leia: I don't really use her because I usually prefer to play the Empire's Heroes over the Rebel's, but firing 3ish shots before having to wait for a cooldown is kinda lame. I do hate to fight against her in Heroes vs, Villains however, because the Invincibility skews the favor toward the Heroes even more than the programming already does. You can't tell me there isn't a bias against the Villains, I mean there's been battles where I've killed damn near a hundred, and only died a handful of times, and we still end up losing somehow. I can count on one hand the number of times the Villains have won. Jango Fett: Another character I don't have much experience with, but I'd agree his Westar Pistol is a great weapon. Han Solo: I will agree his DL-44 Blaster is really good, but the fact you lose the ability to use it if you swap to the Fusion Cutter is a big negative. The Emperor: As you said, he's clumsy and slow, but it's fun as hell to drop bomb on some Rebels. Darth Vader: Love his dash attack and quickish, precise attacks, absolutely slaughters in close quarters like the Tantive IV. Advice about the Bothan Spy: It's a pretty much universal rule that a character's primary weapon won't reload while their secondary weapon is cooling down, because I guess the game thinks you're already reloading. To get around this, just switch your secondary to your time bombs, which only have a 3-ish second cooldown, instead of the much longer regen cooldown.
Palpatine and Vader are ranked way too low. Palpatine's lightning slam can clear out most enemies in one hit, can choke and lightning an enemy at the same time, and he's the only hero in the game who can interrupt his attack combo with other abilities/functions. For example his first 2 swings in his combo can quickly transition into a jump, choke etc which no one else can do. Vader is the fastest in the game, largest health pool, can saber throw/choke while in the air, and his sprint attack will 1 shot most infantry. Infact he was so OP that back in the day in HvV tournaments only 1 person on a team was allowed to use him.
I agree they are both very good in hero assault but personally I find they are the weakest lightsaber users in conquest and that's what this list is based off
It feels weird that Jango Fett would be fighting for the CIS while on Komino since he's more or less killing his own sons. They could of put someone like General Grevious for the CIS even if it wouldn't make much sense.
Yeah, but I kinda feel like he wouldn't really care about that as long as he's getting paid. I doubt he thinks of clones as his "sons" anyway, cause it's no secret they were created to be used in wars - and he clearly was fine with that.
Mad underrating of Chewbacca. Stand near a gonk droid and spam his rockets while boosting them and he becomes a disgustingly powerful howitzer cannon. On Capture the Flag he can single handedly deny the enemy team any hope of flag possession, on Conquest he can deny the enemy capturing a command post, on Hero Assault he just picks off whoever he damn well pleases. Until they find you, he’s busted. And that’s JUST his rockets. He’s only weak in a direct 1v1 against other heroes. Play him smart. He’s also the best anti-vehicle hero in the game.
Yoda is great at slaughtering infantry with the dash attack and his small hitbox. Especially with Dagobah’s lakes being higher than his height, he can hide under them
Being honest Yoda is tied with Palpatine as my lesst favorite saber hero. His hitboxes feel so awkward and its hard to see where im going when he's flailing around. Getting him in tight corridors also sucks because those flails end up killing my own guys a lot due to poor control
Chewie is an absolute beast on the maps he's on, he's literally one of the best at destroying Veichles and crow control. Not lightsaber heroes tend to get the short end of the stick, but I don't think Chewie is that bad.
Gotta do a rebuttal on Count Dooku and Yoda. Context is critical for these heroes. Count Dooku ONLY appears on Geonosis. Dooku is slow, his attacks are sweeping, and his force powers are close range. I feel like he was meant to camp the AT-TE spawns, but it just doesn't work. Garbage tier for me. He's an alright duelist, but Mace Windu is hardly any better on this map. Yoda is only playable on maps with water, Naboo, Kashyyk and Dagobah. While Yoda is in the water, he can't be hit with blaster fire because he's so short and blaster fire won't pierce the water. He can force pull and push opponents into the water. His dash attack strikes twice, dealing enough damage to kill any unit. Yes, his standard moveset sucks, but in these contexts he's an absolute menace. All other heroes... I may not agree 100%, but it's close enough that I think you really cooked with this one.
I love how you call force push better than force choke. Force choke is unblockable, and you can exploit it so that it doesn't waste stamina by switching to lightsaber throw.
@@brudbrud9137 Force push is decent in conquest, but since it doesn’t deal damage you’re forced to follow up with another attack. This isn’t a problem against bots, but it’s a different story against actual players. Force push also takes a huge chunk out of your stamina, while you can use force choke without it wasting stamina, and you can use force choke behind cover
I would swap Han Solo and Grievous, I would flip Boba and Jango. I would flip Kenobi and Secura. It's also odd that Yoda doesn't have Saber throw considering he was the only one in the movies, I believe, to have thrown his Saber and killed a clone
The hitbox on Aayla’s sprint attack stays active FOREVER. If you initiate it and hold back to stay in place, you can pretty much shred anyone in the game instantly. I’d put her in number 1. Maul is equally busted for sure though
I will at least agree that maul and secura are the top 2 but i never use force push over lightsaber throw so i feel like some other Jedi were placed higher than they should be
How is the Force Choke bad? its the most broken power in the game, especially with the choke, lightsaber attack combo. Goes through blocks and kills most infantry fast. Also its Double blade, not dual wield for maul. Dual wield is Aayla and Grevious
They were only available in certain versions of the game, most of us have never played as them unless we have that version or mod the game. The remaster will have them, so that's nice, 2 new characters essentially
the xbox dlc kit fisto and assaj ventress are both far superior to maul due to them being stupid fast really strong and their ranged attacks of the force orb and starblades respectivley
I only every played the xbox 360 version of Battlefront 2 so I don't know how it compares to PC or the 'Classic Collection' assuming it's different in anyways but here's my ranking: 19. Leia - She's so much harder to aim with I feel on controller, I've never enjoyed the award sniper/Leia's blaster. Her invulnerability is amazing especially in heroes vs villians but still she feels like the worst. 18. Chewbacca - I agree completely he's such a lame hero. I will say it's fun to camp next to util droid and spam the rockets and Al-Qaeda into shit but other than that the bowcaster is pretty terrible. 17. Emperor - It doesn't feel like the emperor does anything well, his combo is slow (atleast it has knock down) levitation is mid and ground pounds don't actually feel that effective and less you land it dead center. His running attack in my opinion is one of the worst, the only thing I think is good about him is you can do the choke-lightning glitch which can annihilate every hero besides maybe Chewbacca if you have full stamina. 16. Ventruss - Some of her abilities just feel useless or buggy, the star blades/caltrops barely do shit and I struggle to block with her. Her running attack is great but I don't think that saves her at all. 15. Boba Fett - I personally find Boba Fett to be better to play than Jango when up against Heroes, but Jango is way better for fighting units. I don't think Boba is that much better, though than Jango is so I give Jango the edge over Boba. 14. Jango Fett - The award pistol is so fun, two hits on a unit and they're did, and you can spam it extremely quick. Really fun to use. 13. Han Solo - It's like the award rifle is condensed down into 2 shots instead of 3, meaning the 2 shots do more damage. Absolutely units or heroes. 12. Mace Windu - Every attack Mace does is unnecessary and hard to hit. The main combo does have good knockdown, but you have to anticipate where mace will hit his running attack since he swings like 5 feet from where you attack from, and the ground pound even though it looks cool isn't that devastating unless you land it dead center. 11. Yoda - Yoda is solid, I feel like I prefer other heroes only because I feel like he moves slow. 10. Count Dooku - I don't like Dooku's running attack, however I'm way too good at landing his jump attack which makes up for it to me. His normal combo is used by like 3 other people but it's a solid one. Only thing holding him down is his abilities, though the choke-lightning glitch does almost guarantee you a kill on anything with max stamina. 9. Grevious - Grevious obviously shreds ground units but he's not good against most heroes since all it takes to beat him is a force push. His combos, running attack and jump attack are all really good but he's still counter able due to being able to not get up to high places and is predictable. 8. Ki-Adi Mundi - His running attack does work well with Tanks but it's not really good against other things, besides I think spamming other people's running attack would work just as effectively. The combo he has I'm pretty sure is the same as Dooku and Luke which is a solid attack. Overall he seems like the most average hero. 7. Kit Fisto - The force bomb thing he has is nuts, the only hero that has a long range attack. I'm nuts with his running attack and jump attack, but for some reason his normal combo attack is buggy and hard to hit. I can make up for it with the other attacks since they're so high damage but if it worked better then he'd be higher for me. 6. Obi-Wan - I don't really have much to say, what I like about Obi-Wan and Anakin is that you can keep moving while you do their combo, making it harder for enemies to hit you. 5. Luke Skywalker - Luke and Aayla jump attacks are so easy to hit and I love them, his combo attack is solid and his running attack is fun to try and get the additional hit with. He feels really like you can move quickly with him too which is why I think he's top 5. 4. Anakin Skywalker - He's Obi-Wan like you said, but he has the infinite force choke glitch can be done with him and Vader which essentially in my eyes is a free win against anything, so that's why I rank him so highly. 3. Darth Vader, I know he's the slowest, but he's got the fastest run and if you get good at doing running jump attacks, he's got one that absolutely launches you and takes out 50% of heroes' healths. He also has the infinite choke as well as knockdown and high damage on everything he does. I personally love vader and think he's top 3. 2. Aayla Secura - Pretty sure everyone knows Aayla's great, moves quick and has knockdown. Her running attack when done perfectly to get that backhit thing takes out anything (heroes included) with just one hit so she's definitely 2. 1. Darth Maul - Everything he does is perfect, can't really top him. (Except the choke glitch.)
In regards to Boba Fett, I like him too. I play him as a 'hit and run' type character Flame thrower on a group, fly to disorient, land and finish off. It works really well against hero characters too! Just gotta restock flame all the time since it burns out fast! I like it cuz like Leia, it makes you play differently than most gunners
Honestly, I think Emperor and Vader are so bad as Lightsaber heroes that I'd put them both under Han and Jango. (Also, Award Pistol is OP, I would personally put Jango over Han just because I'd rather have ammo than an overheat weapon)
Id actually argue vader,Anakin and Palpatine are much better then others BECAUSE of the force choke. Once you master the choke glitch your not wanting for stamina and you can instantly stop any hero or tough specialists In their tracks for Very very easy kills. To quote Vader "All to easy". Also Vader and palp being able to levitate is dope, Mostly tho solid list but id switch some around tbh, Like i think force choke is more valuable then Force Push tbh

It's broken and I hope it's fixed in the classic collection otherwise like I said the force choke heroes will be the supreme (for BS reasons). That said I do think Vader and Anakin have great Movesets actually tho, and force choke without the glitch still is OP against enemy heroes cause it enables you to wipe them once ya get them in that animation
Push, Pull, and Choke all prevent your opponent from performing any actions, but after you Push or Pull, you can get a kill with your lightsaber much faster against a larger group of enemies compared to Choke's 1 target at a time.

The sprint attack is absolutely evil. She can take out a Drodeika with a full shield with it in one go

The only thing I kind of disagree on is I probably would move grievous down slightly. His walking speed feels way to slow.
It feels weird that Jango Fett would be fighting for the CIS while on Komino since he's more or less killing his own sons. They could of put someone like General Grevious for the CIS even if it wouldn't make much sense.
Yeah, but I kinda feel like he wouldn't really care about that as long as he's getting paid. I doubt he thinks of clones as his "sons" anyway, cause it's no secret they were created to be used in wars - and he clearly was fine with that.

The even stranger choice was putting Anakin as a villain and him only being playable on Mustafar during the Galactic Civil War era.

Stand near a gonk droid and spam his rockets while boosting them and he becomes a disgustingly powerful howitzer cannon. On Capture the Flag he can single handedly deny the enemy team any hope of flag possession, on Conquest he can deny the enemy capturing a command post, on Hero Assault he just picks off whoever he damn well pleases. Until they find you, he’s busted. And that’s JUST his rockets. He’s only weak in a direct 1v1 against other heroes. Play him smart.
He’s also the best anti-vehicle hero in the game.

Yoda is great at slaughtering infantry with the dash attack and his small hitbox. Especially with Dagobah’s lakes being higher than his height, he can hide under them

Being honest Yoda is tied with Palpatine as my lesst favorite saber hero. His hitboxes feel so awkward and its hard to see where im going when he's flailing around. Getting him in tight corridors also sucks because those flails end up killing my own guys a lot due to poor control
Chewie is an absolute beast on the maps he's on, he's literally one of the best at destroying Veichles and crow control.
Not lightsaber heroes tend to get the short end of the stick, but I don't think Chewie is that bad.

Gotta do a rebuttal on Count Dooku and Yoda.
Context is critical for these heroes. Count Dooku ONLY appears on Geonosis. Dooku is slow, his attacks are sweeping, and his force powers are close range. I feel like he was meant to camp the AT-TE spawns, but it just doesn't work. Garbage tier for me. He's an alright duelist, but Mace Windu is hardly any better on this map.
Yoda is only playable on maps with water, Naboo, Kashyyk and Dagobah. While Yoda is in the water, he can't be hit with blaster fire because he's so short and blaster fire won't pierce the water. He can force pull and push opponents into the water. His dash attack strikes twice, dealing enough damage to kill any unit. Yes, his standard moveset sucks, but in these contexts he's an absolute menace.
All other heroes... I may not agree 100%, but it's close enough that I think you really cooked with this one.
I love how you call force push better than force choke. Force choke is unblockable, and you can exploit it so that it doesn't waste stamina by switching to lightsaber throw.
Again it's better against regular infantry unless of your taking out regular soldiers one by one
@@brudbrud9137 Force push is decent in conquest, but since it doesn’t deal damage you’re forced to follow up with another attack. This isn’t a problem against bots, but it’s a different story against actual players.
Force push also takes a huge chunk out of your stamina, while you can use force choke without it wasting stamina, and you can use force choke behind cover
I would swap Han Solo and Grievous, I would flip Boba and Jango. I would flip Kenobi and Secura.
It's also odd that Yoda doesn't have Saber throw considering he was the only one in the movies, I believe, to have thrown his Saber and killed a clone

The hitbox on Aayla’s sprint attack stays active FOREVER. If you initiate it and hold back to stay in place, you can pretty much shred anyone in the game instantly. I’d put her in number 1. Maul is equally busted for sure though
I will at least agree that maul and secura are the top 2 but i never use force push over lightsaber throw so i feel like some other Jedi were placed higher than they should be

How is the Force Choke bad? its the most broken power in the game, especially with the choke, lightsaber attack combo. Goes through blocks and kills most infantry fast.
Also its Double blade, not dual wield for maul. Dual wield is Aayla and Grevious

They were only available in certain versions of the game, most of us have never played as them unless we have that version or mod the game. The remaster will have them, so that's nice, 2 new characters essentially
the xbox dlc kit fisto and assaj ventress are both far superior to maul due to them being stupid fast really strong and their ranged attacks of the force orb and starblades respectivley

I only every played the xbox 360 version of Battlefront 2 so I don't know how it compares to PC or the 'Classic Collection' assuming it's different in anyways but here's my ranking:
19. Leia - She's so much harder to aim with I feel on controller, I've never enjoyed the award sniper/Leia's blaster. Her invulnerability is amazing especially in heroes vs villians but still she feels like the worst.
18. Chewbacca - I agree completely he's such a lame hero. I will say it's fun to camp next to util droid and spam the rockets and Al-Qaeda into shit but other than that the bowcaster is pretty terrible.
17. Emperor - It doesn't feel like the emperor does anything well, his combo is slow (atleast it has knock down) levitation is mid and ground pounds don't actually feel that effective and less you land it dead center. His running attack in my opinion is one of the worst, the only thing I think is good about him is you can do the choke-lightning glitch which can annihilate every hero besides maybe Chewbacca if you have full stamina.
16. Ventruss - Some of her abilities just feel useless or buggy, the star blades/caltrops barely do shit and I struggle to block with her. Her running attack is great but I don't think that saves her at all.
15. Boba Fett - I personally find Boba Fett to be better to play than Jango when up against Heroes, but Jango is way better for fighting units. I don't think Boba is that much better, though than Jango is so I give Jango the edge over Boba.
14. Jango Fett - The award pistol is so fun, two hits on a unit and they're did, and you can spam it extremely quick. Really fun to use.
13. Han Solo - It's like the award rifle is condensed down into 2 shots instead of 3, meaning the 2 shots do more damage. Absolutely units or heroes.
12. Mace Windu - Every attack Mace does is unnecessary and hard to hit. The main combo does have good knockdown, but you have to anticipate where mace will hit his running attack since he swings like 5 feet from where you attack from, and the ground pound even though it looks cool isn't that devastating unless you land it dead center.
11. Yoda - Yoda is solid, I feel like I prefer other heroes only because I feel like he moves slow.
10. Count Dooku - I don't like Dooku's running attack, however I'm way too good at landing his jump attack which makes up for it to me. His normal combo is used by like 3 other people but it's a solid one. Only thing holding him down is his abilities, though the choke-lightning glitch does almost guarantee you a kill on anything with max stamina.
9. Grevious - Grevious obviously shreds ground units but he's not good against most heroes since all it takes to beat him is a force push. His combos, running attack and jump attack are all really good but he's still counter able due to being able to not get up to high places and is predictable.
8. Ki-Adi Mundi - His running attack does work well with Tanks but it's not really good against other things, besides I think spamming other people's running attack would work just as effectively. The combo he has I'm pretty sure is the same as Dooku and Luke which is a solid attack. Overall he seems like the most average hero.
7. Kit Fisto - The force bomb thing he has is nuts, the only hero that has a long range attack. I'm nuts with his running attack and jump attack, but for some reason his normal combo attack is buggy and hard to hit. I can make up for it with the other attacks since they're so high damage but if it worked better then he'd be higher for me.
6. Obi-Wan - I don't really have much to say, what I like about Obi-Wan and Anakin is that you can keep moving while you do their combo, making it harder for enemies to hit you.
5. Luke Skywalker - Luke and Aayla jump attacks are so easy to hit and I love them, his combo attack is solid and his running attack is fun to try and get the additional hit with. He feels really like you can move quickly with him too which is why I think he's top 5.
4. Anakin Skywalker - He's Obi-Wan like you said, but he has the infinite force choke glitch can be done with him and Vader which essentially in my eyes is a free win against anything, so that's why I rank him so highly.
3. Darth Vader, I know he's the slowest, but he's got the fastest run and if you get good at doing running jump attacks, he's got one that absolutely launches you and takes out 50% of heroes' healths. He also has the infinite choke as well as knockdown and high damage on everything he does. I personally love vader and think he's top 3.
2. Aayla Secura - Pretty sure everyone knows Aayla's great, moves quick and has knockdown. Her running attack when done perfectly to get that backhit thing takes out anything (heroes included) with just one hit so she's definitely 2.
1. Darth Maul - Everything he does is perfect, can't really top him. (Except the choke glitch.)

Flame thrower on a group, fly to disorient, land and finish off. It works really well against hero characters too! Just gotta restock flame all the time since it burns out fast! I like it cuz like Leia, it makes you play differently than most gunners

Honestly, I think Emperor and Vader are so bad as Lightsaber heroes that I'd put them both under Han and Jango. (Also, Award Pistol is OP, I would personally put Jango over Han just because I'd rather have ammo than an overheat weapon)

Once you master the choke glitch your not wanting for stamina and you can instantly stop any hero or tough specialists In their tracks for Very very easy kills. To quote Vader "All to easy".
Also Vader and palp being able to levitate is dope, Mostly tho solid list but id switch some around tbh, Like i think force choke is more valuable then Force Push tbh
That choke glitch is BS though. Do what you want in a game with bots, but I’ll be pissed if people exploit that in online games.
@@flatlo that's true but it's still currently in the game. It's broken and I hope it's fixed in the classic collection otherwise like I said the force choke heroes will be the supreme (for BS reasons).
That said I do think Vader and Anakin have great Movesets actually tho, and force choke without the glitch still is OP against enemy heroes cause it enables you to wipe them once ya get them in that animation
Push, Pull, and Choke all prevent your opponent from performing any actions, but after you Push or Pull, you can get a kill with your lightsaber much faster against a larger group of enemies compared to Choke's 1 target at a time.
