About Simple Little Life:
This channel has sort of turned (inadvertently) into a knife making channel. But the original idea behind what we wanted it to be is this description below:
Videos on our journey to homesteading. With a recent purchase of a little piece of the Alberta prairie, we're looking to sell our nice suburban home in search of a more meaningful life beyond chasing the "American dream" working for some big company and making someone else rich. It's not about the money, it's about getting the most value from the work I do to improving the life of my family.
Some preparedness, DIY, building quality things with your hands, guns, gear, and outdoor exploration.
"After all the polishing it turned out kinda okay". He said.
Dude!? That thing looks flippin awesome! Great job!
Looks beautiful! I learnt a lot too :D Can't wait for you to have some fun Damascus to work with ;)
+Alec Steele hey thanks buddy! Me too:)👍
Alec Steele My theory on true Damascus steel is that they would melt the iron, and carbon in a crucible and then pattern weld the billets. Seems like the two would work very well together, I really need to test it out.
tjzx3432 and that's pretty much the definition of woot steel (basically the "original" Damascus, as it was brought back to Europe from Damascus during the crusades [not that pattern welded steel didn t exist in Europe before then, re: vikings])
A knife makers guild member explained his Damascus as a 'marble cake' of flexible low carbon ball bearings, and brittle but high carbon wood files. Then heat 'em and beat 'em. Sometimes you get a brittle knife that holds no edge or a flexible knife that's is sharp as diamonds
When will somebody blacksmith a #BESTMULTITOOLEDT
LOVE THIS KNIFE. Culturally significant to me, this will probably be my 4-5 craft. Thank you!
He is now working on my persian knife. I can hardly wait to see and put my hands on it. What a piece of art.
Great work.Looks like a beast of a knife
That is a gorgeous blade! You see a lot of common knifes made but few true fighting knives. As a blade lover for the art side I have to say thank you!
Thank you very much!
I totally LOVED every split second of this! Your didactic methods really connect with me. You have that rare commodity known as "SAVVY!" This truly turned on light bulbs in the old thought gland ! THANK YOU!
+Mark Johnson hey thanks for the compliments! And you're welcome. Cheers👍
Thanks to you I got inspired to make my own knife. Love your tutorials!
Nice work! What a beauty!
Thanks!
Excellent!! Nice job
Thank you very much!
+Joao Gomes Just because you can't do what he does your getting jealous that he has a life
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL KNIFE!! Don't be that tough on yourself! You are a TRUE craftsman! I am a long time collector & budding knife maker. I hope that i can achieve this level of quality in my work. I would be proud to have it in my collection! The overall thickness appears to be MASSIVE! I might have used the opportunity to sculpt or etch something along the spine. The cool thing about it though, is, with it remaining as it, it accentuates the thickness in the tang.
Thanks Again!!!
you aren't giving yourself enough credit dude. the knife looks beautiful
1:28 here comes a wild screwdriver 😂

Beautiful work of art.
Wow, what a beautiful knife. I'm making my own custom knife, and this is the only knife out there that looks anything like my design. Very well done!
Made a scriber but still uses a drill bit to scribe! Hahaha ❤️
haha, I was wondering if anyone would notice:) I started this knife build in January before I made that scribe. I forgot about it and then finished it yup this week. Cheers!
Yeah we noticed....
* Yeah, we noticed... *
Kameron Kuban *Yeah, we noticed...*
-Yeah we noticed-
Is it okay to soak a sword or dagger in water, clean in olive oil, then wipe with a napkin or towel if I plan on eating with it?
The Tang Water will rust the blade. All yoy have to do to clean it is just rub it with rubbing alchohol. Water wont do anything to the blade but rust it
Absolutely gorgeous.
Beautiful craftsmanship, beast of a knife!

In Macedonian : Најдобар нож што сум видел да се изработи, прекрасно нешто, трпение и добар мајстор. 100000 палци нагоре.
In English : Best knife ever seen handmade, beautiful made, wonderful thing , patience and a good worker. 100000 thumbs up.

Excellent job. I like the way you explain what your doing, and commenting on what you learned.
Loved this video for your great narrative! A lot others just have some inane music running, but this one was a refreshing change and the way you took us through the entire process was really great! The knife looks awesome! Looking forward to many many more videos and lovely builds! Cheers!
Fantastic work. Congrats!

Even if it’s not perfect in your eyes, it’s still a beautiful blade.
It's always fun watching the creative process. Thanks for sharing your passion with us.
Beautiful work
This is so amazing Jeremy, this is like the coolest blade ever! It's hard to believe you make these by hand, they look SO professionally made they look like they're machine made almost! You do great work, and i find it super interesting.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and the knife!
Very much enjoyed the video ... beautiful work.
It is beautiful!
Beautiful knife! You can definitely tell it is made for a right handed person.
Nice job! Beautiful knife.
Im not a knife lover but i watch this 20m video from start to end without a single skip, hypnotizing video :D
+aprinaleko thank you much! That is a very nice compliment and I really appreciate it! Thank you👍
I got bored yesterday and made a blade from a piece of glass using just a sharpening stone . its useful for nothing but it looks brilliant! Love the video. Peace out!
Beautifully Knife!!!
Sweet video. Thanks.
Nice work! You are a master!
Great work!!!!
I completely follow what you're saying about not being timid on the grinder! In the anatomy-art hybrid elective I'm in, one of the instructors (a self-taught artist) really emphasizes that much of painting is just going for it, moving the colors around, basically making the tool in your hand an extension of you. I thought of that when you mentioned that, and it makes sense as knife making really is an art form. Great video!
Awesome video!
Man, that is gorgeous! Great job!
Thank Simple Little Life!
Oh my, I really love this shape!! I would like it even more with a little thumb ramp with jimping.
I want that knife! Pretty AWESOME
wow.......love your work man..!!!!!
Thumbs up for your nice job ..
Beautiful knife.
Really enjoyed your excellent video. Thanks from Australia
Amazing and Beautiful work 👍
Just a masterpiece !
Man, that is beautiful! The thick steel actually looks really nice with that handle, good contrast.
Awesome job thanks
Linda peça!!! Parabens!!!!
I like how he explains everything and gives little pointers on the hole process
چقدر قشنگه..خیلی عالیه کارت.تووووووپ😊🌺.i am persian......i love you people
What a beautiful blade.. The hole time I watched you make this blade I was imagining a gut hook on the top sweep of the blade. Grate angle for it, good sweep for skinning and thick enough for batoning; plus it looks bad ass. I would buy it, grate build. First time seeing your work. I'll be watching more.
Another great knife, thank you for sharing this great video adventure.
Have a great day
Perfect level of detail
just amazing
