Couldn’t have been more perfect had this exact same problem while install my Umi rear LCA and sub frame noticed the front was dented so had to figure out a way to do it and I thought about longer bolts. But this works too much appreciated 🙌🏻
Late response, I miss this comment. I am glad this video helped you. Thank-you for commenting back then. Did you ever purchased the subframe connectors and get them install?
I know it's been a few years, but do you remember having any trouble torquing those back bolts? My SFCs have been on for a while, but over the last few years I've been getting a lot of loud thuds every time I hit even a small bump. I think those bolts may have loosened a bit, but i can not get a torque wrench on there to save my life. Any suggestions?
Nothing here…. Only thud, I had in the rear was my torque arm hitting the tunnel… A lot A lot A lot of hammering to clearance it. Like it was hitting, and I didn’t know how bad… That it started cutting/piercing thru the metal.
I will try and post a video soon. That's an easy one. But no comments here. Super happy, wish I had them before I went to the track years ago, and dented a quarter panel by launching.
Yes they will work. . I have had both factory and aftermarket controls with the subframe connectors installs. It did this testing ride quality one day. It made no difference in my case. I re-installed the aftermarket control arms.
Another question my subframe broke where that control arm goes, can I use this instead of getting the frame fixed? When driving things rear end shakes left n right really bad over bumps , kinda need a bandaid till I can afford to get the frame fixed
@@jjdachamp330 dude idk. In my mind, it might work as a band-aid temporarily. But seems like a lot going on there. I would want a good repair via welding and sub-frames for sure.
i am searching for "F body UMI subframe connectors" on the internet and cant find any that look like yours? All the ones i'm finding are square metal.......I like the tubular much better. Do you have a link to purchase these please?

Any review on these after all these years? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the bolt in. People say the bolt holes Waller out

I purchased them from Summit racing. Here is a link: www.summitracing.com/parts/upi-2070-r/make/pontiac/model/firebird/year/2002
Will these subframe connectors work on a convertible?
I’m not sure.
No welding ??
All bolt on.
do you have any issues with them making noise or making the car creak?
None at all. The only upgrade that I have mix feeling about is the chassis mount torque arm
homemade...subframe connectors....🤔 explain
The previous owner took square tubing, welded thick flat plates to the tubing. And bolted it to the car.
