Non-American crowds sure know how to convincingly express appreciation for talent.
Bruce Springsteen has been doing this since the early 70s. he was playing at the stone pony in the 60s and early 70s. no cell phones so people would run around Asbury Park New Jersey. telling people that Bruce was playing at the stone pony. am 65 years old man I grew in in North Philly 60s and 70s. not far away from Asbury park new jersey. I saw Bruce 4 times live in Philadelphia PA. to see the way the world loves him and the E street band. it's nuts from people on the street telling each other that Bruce was playing in a little Jersey Shore bar. to the size of the crowds that go to see him all over the world. and to be the same person that he was back before he became one of the greatest rock bands ever. to be honest Bruce did become one of those assholes who believed he was so great that he didn't need anyone even the E street band. but someone woke him up to what he had become. one of those rock stars who believes they don't need anyone else.
Arguably one of the best rock songs ever written.
There's no argument, it's the best.

They may play great football (usually) , but the audience at FCB is not the best, lol. That would be cities/clubs like Liverpool, Dortmund, Besiktas (/Istanbul) and ..Glasgow.
That said the crowd here was great !! (With a special mention of the folks standing on shoulders in the Catalan 'Castell' 'human towers' tradition ! 🗼😊).

I never appreciated this song growing up. I'm a gen-x late 70's baby. It wasn't until it came on randomly as I was streaming music while driving. Late night, dark with few cars on the road. I turned up the radio, lit a smoke and that was it. Completely hooked. Now I have it on vinyl. Great rock song.

I wish that during the European tour in 2023 the fans at the German concerts would make as much atmosphere as the fans in Barcelona. I have front of stage tickets for Hockenheim. At the concert in Barcelona was the greatest audience you can imagine. Badlands from the same concert is my favorite live version of the Boss.

I grew-up a town south of Freehold NJ where Springsteen came from. I've been living in Central Europe since 93' (former x-Gi) and seen many concerts in NJ/Philly and in Germany. Europeans and South American crowds are way better than us in the States.
Discovered this song a couple years ago… was just 22 on a 2019 before we all knew the meaning of that cursed word “covid”. And since the last two years it has become one of the most significant songs in my life… just wanna say… long live art, music, poetry, long live our human sensitivity towards beauty in our lives.
