So much of dumog resembles catch wrestling in it's intention of causing as much pain or injury as frequently as possible, however with dumog, it blends striking into the grappling which increases the effectiveness of each hold by essentially "softening" up the target areas prior to applying the next hold.

I remember learning dumog as a kid and my punong Guro would curse alot to stress when he wanted your attention, "you break the wrist, you break the elbow.... No time PUCKING around!"

@@KenMikaze Ahhh man, when he said , " no PACKING AROUND!" He really meant it..! PACKING was usually followed up with a wacking from the baston! You've clearly experienced this...good stuff!

Very cool but how does the arm break that easily...is it more of an elbow wrench?

attack the elbow joint with sudden force and push the wrist outward at the same time.. you’ll definitely break it..

How does this change with eye gouge, bites and everything not allow in tournament changes your live roll. Be opened minded...this is not sports intended. If allowed to pull out a pencil...that changes everything. Dumog is not based on sport

Dumog is the Pinoy way of grappling... Not much different than any other technique excecuted as lubud hubud is similar to drilling arm bars(Americana and kumoras) and the translation is that dumog is not for submission sport.. It's based off of survival.. A dumog practitioner is who I'd put my money on. It's honestly like saying Krav Maga guy against bjj... Krav Maga is designed to hurt, not submit.

Train Kali the eye gouging, bites to the vulnerable body parts like nose ears etc... and crushing your enemies testicles is called KINAMUTAY it is part of dumog but not taught in the modern dumog because it’s too violent lol

In reality, a kali guy will use any weapon available to him fighting empty handed is a last resort
