- Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I apologize for my voice sounding raspy in the video--not sure what is going on!
I shared a card I made on Facebook and several of you wanted to see how I made it. I found that having my card stock pre-cut will save me time when recording and who really wants to watch us cut and fold card stock anyway? The only portion where I share some scoring is for the pop-up mechanism.
Bear in mind that the pop-up mechanism that measures 2" by 7.5" can be any size you want it to be. I used a piece of 3" by 7.5" in the other two examples I share where the center piece is more triangular in shaped cards. The scoring will be the same--you just want to make sure that the pop-up mechanism is hidden behind your center die cut piece. If you wanted, you can also use a clear piece of acetate to make the pop-up mechanism so that if you used a stamped panel in the back or a piece of patterned paper like I did, you'll be able to see more of that instead of covering it up. I just didn't want to risk it falling off or not being sturdy enough.
Below are some of the products I use in the video. If you don't see something here that I showed in the video, it means I couldn't find it but definitely read the comments as some folks are real sleuths and can find anything.

Hi! I hope you enjoyed this video! I had fun making the cards. You can easily mass produce these cards if you avoid the time-consuming die cutting of flowers like I did. But I love how these stand on their own with that pop out feature. Let me know if you plan on making one of these cards. If you do, could I trouble you to tag me in social media so I can see your creation? Thanks! ♥️
Absolutely. I won't be able to until Monday. 2 Graduations going on.
Love your idea ❤
@@deejohnston3666 Thanks! 🙏🏻 ♥️
First time viewer. Great card design. ❤

Absolutely beautiful!!! I cannot pick a favorite!😊. Thanks for sharing!
Aw, thank you, Christy! Thanks for watching! 🥰
Outstanding and very clever…..
Having trouble finding the dies for the orange flowers. So excited to try this out. Thanks for your inspiration…
You’re so welcome! The die set you’re asking about is from Spellbinders called ‘Typing Class.” Unfortunately, I can’t no longer find it. It was the February large die of the month. You may find it from a reseller, though. It’s pretty cute. I hope you can find it. 🥰
Love these cards. Will give it a try.
Have fun! They are so fun and easy to make! 🥰
That is a REALLY good idea!! Thanks for sharing this video
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching! 🥰
Love, love this. Thank you for sharing so generously.❤❤❤❤❤My favourite is the last one.
You are so welcome! I hope you’ll give it a try! 🥰
So pretty! I’d use the acetate for the mechanism as well. I’ll have to give this card to try thank you for sharing
You’re very welcome! 🥰
This is beautiful! Thank you!
Glad you like it! Thank you for watching! 🥰
Excellent .. unique.. Thank you !
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching! ♥️
I can't believe you make those they are so beautiful like you❤
Love you. Ardis! ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for sharing it gives such a cool effect ❤
Glad you like it! ♥️🥰
Definitely worth trying! I actually like the orange & green one best, even though they’re not usually my colours. The pink second. I would probably ink blend those white flowers though. The holo taco looks pretty, but something about the white is missing something to my eyes 🤔 Maybe it just needs some sparkly centres? They’re just blending into the card a bit much 🤷♀️ Great card design though - thank you 😊
I totally agree! I’ll have to play around with the white flowers and see what works. Thank you for watching! 🥰
Gorgeous! I want to try this.
Please do! You’ll love the outcome! 🌺
Lovely just lovely - I love all the three cards and yes I will be giving this idea a go. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
You are so welcome! Thanks so much for your kind comment! 🥰
This is so creative. It is so easy we all can do it, but we needed your video. Way to go. Thanxs so much,
You are so welcome! 🥰
What a great idea. I like all of them, they’re absolutely lovely.
Thanks so much 😊 And thank you for watching! 🥰
Orange flower card is gorgeous! Can wait to try this.
Thanks so much! 🥰

Amazing!!!
Thank you!!! ♥️🥰
beautiful!
Thank you! 🥰
I like the orang flowers. Yes I will try this technique.
Have fun! Thanks for watching! ♥️
Love them
Thanks! 🥰
Love this
Thanks, Audrey! 🥰
Definitely going to try this!
Awesome! 🥰
These are great Kathy’s. I do like the last one the best. I don’t quite understand though the purpose of cutting out the circle in the acetate. Is that essential? Yes and do please leave your errors in the video so helpful and keeping it real😊
Sorry I didn’t communicate that part very well in the video. My thinking is that securing the acetate between two pieces of card stock would help the acetate bond more securely. I’m sure you could attach the acetate directly to the pop up mechanism, too. Over time, I just think the adhesive would just dry out and the acetate would eventually fall off. I hope that makes sense. Sorry for rambling! 🤣
Love these cards. If you use a pin or pin pen to remove adhesive backing it won’t be so frustrating.
Yep! I’ve done that with my pokey tool but I was too lazy to hunt it down. 🤣
wonderful thank you. Can I suggest you just nip/round those sharp corners off the acetate tho? They can really hurt, esp the older or younger generation! :)
I did on the one card, but you’re right! Good catch! I’ll definitely round those corners, too! 🥰
Lovely. Love it. I would have liked to see how the last one was done with the pocket
Sorry, Annabella! I just created a little rectangle, folded 1/2” on 3 sides. Folded the scored lines and the used a circle punch to create the center to pull the card out and then secured to the back. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching! ♥️
I love them all. I will try to make one.
Awesome, Joyce! Have fun! 🥰
I just ordered the clear stickers!
They are so fun! You’ll love the 4 sparkly options! 🥰
What is the name of the flowers you use in the card 2 and 3. Please let us know
It’s from Spellbinders. Here is my affiliate link to the die set: shrsl.com/4jqv2
I love the third with pink flowers. I have a whole box of transparencies and was wondering how to use them.
@@priendeautube Awesome! Glad this video gave you some inspiration! 🥰
I loved this idea and can't wait to try it. I've missed one thing in your description. Can you explain the purpose of the cut out circle on the background panel? It seems like the double-sided adhesive can work as well on a full panel. Thank you for this unique idea!
@@savannaghkacey6161 Hi! Yes…I was thinking that because I’m working with a sort of plastic (the clear acetate), adhering paper to paper would increase the chances of the card staying together. You certainly can try without this step though. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁 🥰
Your tutorial was so well done. Your explanation and clear photography made it easy for even a vision impaired person to follow along. I have a questin regarding your glue -- is that indeed Elmers glue? and what is the dispenser you have on the bottle? Glue is the bane of my crafting existence. Thanks so much for such a fascinating technique. Mu DIL has just been diagnosed with cancer and I am committed to making multiple cards as she lives 8 hours away and I can no longer drive. Many, many thanks. And for the glue info.
I’m so sorry to hear about your DIL. I’ll say a prayer for her. 🙏🏻 The glue I’m using is Elmer’s Glue-All, not the regular glue they sell. This is a stronger formula and it’s very affordable. The green cap I am using fits the lager bottle. Here’s the link (affiliate) for them if you’re interested: amzn.to/3QVBe4f I will keep you in my prayers. ♥️🙏🏻
Love the cards! Will definite try. Where did you get the fine tip nozzel to fit on the Elmers' Glue all?
Hi! Thank you for watching! I bought the green caps on Amazon. Here’s my affiliate link if you’re still interested: amzn.to/3VgqIar
What a awesome idea!! I also you the same glue where did you get the fine tip for the glue bottle? I would love to have one of those!!
So glad you enjoyed it! Here’s my affiliate link for the caps that fit the glue bottle: amzn.to/3yr89az
@@KathyaKalinine thank you so much
Very intriguing design. I am surprised you use the Elmer's Glue All. Does it really work that well on paper for cardmaking?
I actually love it for card making. It has a stronger formula than just their standard school glue. I just got discouraged when I run out of glue and then see a 4 ounce bottle of popular craft glues being sold for $15…I was just in search of an affordable option. I’ll definitely buy it again. 🥰
@@KathyaKalinine Thank you for the tip.
I bought this glue and it works wonderfully. Thanks for this great, economical alternative.
Please where you get the fine tip applicator for the glue? Can you let me know? Thank you so much!
Sure! Here’s the link to get the caps for the glue bottle: amzn.to/4bVpdDZ (affiliate)
I would totally stamp my sentiment BEFORE I posted it down because for sure if I did it that way I’d mess it up lol
Yes! Of course I didn’t think of it at the time, unfortunately! 😊
Please May I ask where you got the pink flowers from, are they from the same die set?
The pink floral dies are from Spellbinders. Here’s my affiliate link for the product from the Spellbinders store and it’s on sale, too! amzn.to/4bU32OQ
hello Kathya! May know the name of the orange flower you used (from Spellbinders)?
Hi! I didn’t link it in the video because it’s the Large Die of the Month called ‘Typing Class,’ and it’s no longer available. I just used the floral dies and leaves on that card example. You might have some luck finding it on eBay. I hope this helps! 🥰
Where did you get the glue applicators for this particular glue?
Apologies. I just added the glue caps in the description area. Let me know if you have any questions. 🥰
Where did you go? I do hope you are well xx
Bless you!!! I’m planning a video this weekend. We had family join us this summer, I started a new job, and then we learned a family member passed unexpectedly. Lots going on. Thank you so much for your patience. It has been very rough to say the least! ♥️♥️♥️
