  • An overnight adventure around the North and South loops of the Minister Creek hiking trail in Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. Beautiful rock formations and lots of variety in an easy short trail. We also briefly stepped onto the North Country National Scenic trail, the longest national hiking trail in the U.S.

What equipment are you using to film and microphone. Your quality is great!

Tell ya whats screwed up is most maps including google maps improperly identify Minister Creek. They show Farnsworth creek as being Minister. Were there other campers near your spot?

Going straight on the fishing trail at the end will take you to the campground across from the parking lot. Plus it follows the creek.

I stayed in that area where you were camped Sept. '22, hiked out the same way, it looks like you had a few more blowdowns but it was very scenic

The area you encountered at 19 minutes in was indeed a blow down. A girl from a church group that was camped near Triple Forks was killed when a tree fell on her tent. I think that was in 2016.

The devastated area also extends across the valley to the other side. It can be seen on Google maps in the satellite view. It's very evident that something happened there. I feel bad for anyone who may have been hurt or killed out there.

Rimrock and Morrison is my very first video on the channel! Congrats on facing your fears and camping overnight! You don't have to worry about bears though, as long as you can run faster than your brother! LOL jk

So to go through the rocks, you take the south loop scenic trail? I’m going to start on the north loop.

Yes, the fun rock formations are all on the south loop. It's just a short loop and it's worth taking the detour.
