Trey Godsey For reference, I’m female, 13 years old, about 5’4 and roughly 110lbs-115lbs. I hope this helps because I’m not sure about your age and measurements, but I took 375mg (one pill) of Naproxen and it took the aches and pains right away. I hope you consider this method if you ever have an infection again. Also, don’t drink anything warm because your nose, throat and ears are connected. A cold drink may sooth the pain for a bit or even help with the swelling. If your jaw feels tight from the swelling, don’t worry so much because it’s normal and try eating something like an Apple, peach or apricot etc that you can bite into. If you are going to get your ears wet in the shower, I suggest those earplugs people use in factories or when they sleep. (The neon-foam ones). This may sound silly but try not to mess with your hair if possible because this could change the anatomy of the ear canal temporarily and cause pain or discomfort. Don’t put anything into your ear unless instructed by a doctor. Last but not least, you don’t necessarily need a prescription for the drops, only the antibiotics so if you are shifting towards using drops instead of pills you can find them at your nearest CVS, grocery store or any other stores that sell a wide range of medicines.

I’ve had it for almost 10 days now and I must admit that pain excruciating. I woke up one morning with severe pain in my outer ear and had no idea what it was, I just thought that may be I fell asleep in wrong position putting too much pressure on my left ear. Couple of days it was getting worse and I was sure that it’s something else. All this while I kept going through the pain, then all of a sudden on the 6th day, I started to feel better so I was really happy that it’s going to away and by 7th day, I was healed almost 90% (in terms of pain). I could eat properly and everything Then I had a disastrous idea, I wanted to clean my ear thoroughly so for next 2 days, long shower and deep cleansing of my ear and now I have the worst pain of my life, keeping my awake in the nights, I can’t eat, sleep, hear or talk properly. I’m one of the weird ones who avoid going to GP but finally I couldn’t bear it anymore and had to visit one. I’m on antibiotics now for next 5 days. ☹️ I’ve already taken my first tablet few hours ago and finding it really hard to sleep so I’m typing this message at 2 o’clock in the morning. I’m in Melbourne, Australia.
@@64Magick I don’t recommend Hydrogen Peroxide unless you have a bunch of earwax build up, but if you use too much, your ear wax protection layer that protects the ear from infections will disappear leaving the ear(s) really sensitive, and if you decide to get in a pool right after, (what I did) it will make it way worse!

Hi everyone, this is basically a recipe to make olive oil and garlic eardrops, these eardrops make you feel better, so try them Put two or three drops of warm garlic oil into the ear. Gently place the piece of cotton over the opening of the ear just enough to stop the oil from seeping out. ... Before You Get Started 1 clove of garlic, peeled. 2 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil. small pan. small glass jar with lid or dropper. piece of cotton. strainer. You mat have to lay down for like 15 minutes

Ah FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUC This is the second time I've had this infection and the first time I had it it was pure hell I do not want to go through it again
The best thing for the pain is honestly a heating pad directly to the face. On medium or low so it doesn’t burn you. It brought down the swelling and gave me so much relief omg I didn’t take pain meds after doing that. Plus taking my antibiotics. On day three praying my good ear doesn’t act up 😢
I’m right now going through swimmer’s ear and it hurts bad it’s a splitting headache, my ear canal is small, my left side of my jaw hurts, my left ear is swollen like Dumbo and hurts, and my hearing is not so good in both ears! I have been through a lot of pain but this shit is insane man, I cant sleep on my fav side, and naturally as I dose off I rotate to that side then jump up since my ear literally cant be touched by anything. After I went to the hospital I had a small fungus in my left ear after a day on the drops I was good but 2 days later my RIGHT ear had the same problem, I am only happy they both were not at the same time and I will update on you on the right when it gets better.😔

I got this at the beginning of summer in my left ear and omg I was ready to chop my ear off, it hurt so bad I was crying 24/7. When it finally went away that was the best feeling of my life. A few days ago I started getting the same symptoms in my right ear as I did at the beginning of summer, which made me scared and now my right ear is trying to kill me. I used the same eardrops my doctor gave me the first time and I think because I started taking them pretty early on the pain isn't as bad as it was last time but I still want to cut my ear off, the only thing I've been eating is pretsalz and granola bars cuz my has hurts from just talking
I had this once when I was around like 6 or 7 years old and it hurt like hell because one summer I was going to a small community swimming school and after awhile of visiting basically every other day, my ear started to hurt like hell and we visited the doctor where I learned I had it, so he treated me and told us to get some ear plugs so i can shower. I don't have any memories of how much it hurt but it didn't really bother me much for whatever reason, it was only when I was trying to sleep where I was like "ugh" and just watched old youtube and vines on my tablet. I have it right now and I'm not really feeling any pain other than when I have to wear a headset for my online classes and when I try to sleep on my side.
tip for all of you who get water in your ears :) if you feel like water is in your ear tilt your head on the side you feel your ear is clogged and has water in it and jump ! till the water comes out . trust me the water will come out :) i hope this helps someone
I’m literally crying because the pain is excruciating 😭 I take pain medicine but it seems like it only last for an hour. I’m currently on day 2 of the drops and don’t feel any relief. Keeping my fingers cross day 3 is a lot better
@suebrown2238 If you use 100% straight vinegar after each water entry, you will prevent swimmer's ear 100% of the time. If you don't use it, and develop an infection, you're gonna need a doctor and antibiotics.... Hopefully, it's a cool doctor who will also prescribe a few days worth of codeine, too.

Has it gone?? How much time did it take?
I am on the healing side of swimmers ear and after watching video after video about it I found this one. 🤦🏽♀️. This is the best most complete information I have found. Seems to cover all my questions. 👍🏼
Has it gone?? How much time did it take?
Got really bad swimmers ear right now and taking ear drop antibiotics. I can tell you right now that I will not ever forget to shake out the water or clean my ears with a solution ever again.

I’m in excruciating pain right now because of that.

@@dayasagarkudva2689Yes after using antibiotic drops.. took me about 2 days only to be pain free.
I have an ear infection, outer and middle. OUCH. This is excellent advice. I did have to go to a doctor and the presenter’s absolutely right, the infection has quickly spread into my jaw area. Please see a doctor especially if OTC pain relievers aren’t helping.
Within the past year I've gotten swimmers ear 3 times... Got it in both ears at one time and now I'm dealing with my right ear right now
I cant open my mouth, laugh, or cry because of it

I have gotten swimmers ear 3 times im on my 3rd one and it hurts like hellllllll
If u done surgery then u can swim freely
I’ve had it for almost 10 days now and I must admit that pain excruciating. I woke up one morning with severe pain in my outer ear and had no idea what it was, I just thought that may be I fell asleep in wrong position putting too much pressure on my left ear. Couple of days it was getting worse and I was sure that it’s something else. All this while I kept going through the pain, then all of a sudden on the 6th day, I started to feel better so I was really happy that it’s going to away and by 7th day, I was healed almost 90% (in terms of pain). I could eat properly and everything
Then I had a disastrous idea, I wanted to clean my ear thoroughly so for next 2 days, long shower and deep cleansing of my ear and now I have the worst pain of my life, keeping my awake in the nights, I can’t eat, sleep, hear or talk properly.
Can you give me some updates, my ear hurts so bad
*So what did you do???*
*Did you put hydrogen peroxide in your ear???*
@@bajablastmyass682 LOL, yup me to....I finally got fed up with the money grubbing doctors and bought a mini vacuum and sucked the gunk out right after spending 7 minutes blow drying it....TA DAHHH, GOOD AS NEW!!! 20/20 HEARING!!!
same here i want to die it hurts so bad
It's kinda weird that when I watch youtube it sooths my ear a bit but it sill hurts
Zita Meadowbell For reference, I’m female, 13 years old, about 5’4 and roughly 110lbs-115lbs.
Me too. I think it's because we are distracting ourselves from the pain. I am watching youtube at 5 in the morning because I cant sleep
@@sophia-ww4bt im guessing you're good now?
Hi everyone, this is basically a recipe to make olive oil and garlic eardrops, these eardrops make you feel better, so try them
Put two or three drops of warm garlic oil into the ear. Gently place the piece of cotton over the opening of the ear just enough to stop the oil from seeping out.
...
Before You Get Started
1 clove of garlic, peeled.
2 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil.
small pan.
small glass jar with lid or dropper.
piece of cotton.
strainer.
You mat have to lay down for like 15 minutes
I need to do wierd naruto hand signs just to communicate with my mom cause it hurts so bad whenever I talk
EDIT: after a few days of commenting this I’m all Gucci. It hurts like hell at first but in a few days it should be good. Also I was crying in pain while writing the og comment so yea. Good luck btw
How many days before it went away? Did you seek for medical help?
Trisha Marie Vallente it’s been some time but I think it took me around 4-6 days ish. And yes I did seek medical help, they gave me ear drops which did help a lot.
Loll ahha

How this infection repeats?
Deepti Singh yea it can happen multiple times
Who is watching this because you have it and can’t go swimming
Me and I'm mad and sad 😭
Has it gone?? How much time did it take?
The best thing for the pain is honestly a heating pad directly to the face. On medium or low so it doesn’t burn you. It brought down the swelling and gave me so much relief omg I didn’t take pain meds after doing that. Plus taking my antibiotics. On day three praying my good ear doesn’t act up 😢
I have it right now and it's excruciating
I’m right now going through swimmer’s ear and it hurts bad it’s a splitting headache, my ear canal is small, my left side of my jaw hurts, my left ear is swollen like Dumbo and hurts, and my hearing is not so good in both ears! My tip is wear ear plugs and avoid lakes rivers and streams and dirty pools!
Has anyone's head also pains from the infected side of ear
I have to go to the ER both ears are infected. I never in my life have taken so many pain killers
How long did it take to get rid of the pain
it CAN be painful??????? NO IT IS LITERALLY SO PAINFUL BRO,, I WOULDN'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE I'D REALLY WANT TO CRY RN BC THAT SHIT IS ONE OF THE WORST PAINS U COULD EVER FEEL

Gotten better🙏
Hey man same here! I had swimmers ear at the right side and once that ear was treated two days later my left ear started to hurt! How long did it take for all of it to go away?
@@noaccount5573 Usually, it takes 6-7 days to pass but it depends on your symptoms!
After reading the comment I must have a lucky amount of pain in my ear
Bro my parents keep saying it was a ear infection I believed it till this video I am saving this and showing them on the morning it hurts so bad I just can’t control my crying either it has to be one of the worst pains
I had swimmers ear like 2 years ago worst pain I have ever felt in my life
My 8 yr old has this right now it hurts him so bad😭😭😭
It’s terrible pain-
It is one of the worst pains a human can have.
This is pure torture I’m in so much pain it’s almost unbearable
I’m this close to popping any narcotic to get rid of this pain.
I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night lately to constant pain in my ear 😢
Literally same it's 4 am rn
It hurts so bad you feel like tearing your ears right off your head
I feel like this is worse than stepping on a lego or having your nose clogged.
Yes I have experienced all 3 swimmer ear is the worst
Id rather walk a mile on legos than have this pain f#@&!!!!!
The white vinegar thing didn't work btw
@Eli Dunford i don't now because of a swimmers ear treatment
One time I had swimmers ear AND an ear infection. I literally would have been down to let Mike Tyson out.
This is the worst part I got this infection in 2020 ugh it hurts so bad! I'm crying! 😭
This is not a good time for school season, especially when ur in middle school😭
tip for all of you who get water in your ears :)
if you feel like water is in your ear tilt your head on the side you feel your ear is clogged and has water in it and jump ! till the water comes out . trust me the water will come out :)
i hope this helps someone
It hurts so bad that when I clench my jaw or try to bite down it hurts
I have it right now and I did I have it 2018, all I did before was to lay down and watch fortnite, literally. It’ll be over soon

I have it right now and I can't eat and it is so painful
I’m literally crying because the pain is excruciating 😭 I take pain medicine but it seems like it only last for an hour. I’m currently on day 2 of the drops and don’t feel any relief. Keeping my fingers cross day 3 is a lot better
Snap 😢 nothing working missing my swimming
When did it go away?
@suebrown2238
If you use 100% straight vinegar after each water entry, you will prevent swimmer's ear 100% of the time. If you don't use it, and develop an infection, you're gonna need a doctor and antibiotics.... Hopefully, it's a cool doctor who will also prescribe a few days worth of codeine, too.
Bro I swear it’s like 6 am and it’s Monday…I’ve had it’s since Saturday at like 3 am I have a long way to go wish me luck 🤜👂

I used to have to put drops in my ears each time after swimming 40+ years ago.
Then learnt how to shake the water out.
And, we were taught the correct way to use cotton-tips.
